    This was a great modern twist on an old classic. I was wondering why all the characters were mentioned separately in their own little story but now I know why. Brilliant! I all not say why. Lets not ruin the story for someone else. I think whoever likes horror should read this story. Thank you for writing. This was a great buy for me. The sleepy hollow horrors box set. That way you can read one story after the other in correct order. ( I have that problem of reading a story out of sequence and wonder what happened in between.) What a great ending to this classic.

    I originally read these books individually. They are definitely meant to be read together as a set. The whole story becomes several times more enjoyable than reading one or the other
    This is the investigation into the disappearance, 10 years previously, of Ichabod Crane by Julian, his nephew. Julian does not believe in the supernatural, nor a headless horseman - he believes Ichabod was murdered. He's found the motive, and who he believes is the murderer. Can he bring the suspect to justice? Or will he be run out of town by the powerful suspect? There is a surprise ending to the confrontation.
    Part II takes a much darker and more sinister turn as decides to see his quest for the murderer through to the end. The tension rises as suspicions are voiced, and incidents recalled, as to who the murderer actually is. Julian finds out to his great dismay.
    The story continues in Book 2 with the grand finale and denouement of the story begun in Book One. It adds an incredible, but essential, conclusion to the story. Part I introduces us to the Headless Horseman and the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Then in Part II we read the stories of ten men, who somehow escaped whatever the evil thing was that stalked them. Part III tells how the posse to hunt and destroy the Headless Horseman, or whatever it is, is chosen. We meet again the ten men who escaped, as they arrive to join the posse to destroy the monster that so terribly affected their lives. The posse makes plans and sets out. They track the Headless Horseman monster to its lair, and the final violent supernatural confrontation erupts. Wow! Reading Book 1, I originally thought this was a detective story. That was a major misapprehension - this is really and truly a horror story.

    A very interesting, real life version of the Sleepy Hollow story. You get lost in the story with all the details and descriptions. Wonderful book, looking forward to part 2.
    Book 2 - 3 stars Disappointed!
    So many unneeded chapters. Book 2 begins with backstories for what will be a posse. They are too long and some don't relate to the Horseman. You wonder, how do these stories go with book 1. The end of the book, is back on track continuing the story from book 1 and giving you the ending you have been waiting for.

    This was a well written, thrilling, and enjoyable read. I wasnt sure at first if a new spin could be taken on The Headless Horseman without being boring, but Austin Dragon did just that! I liked that it did have some of a horror factor, but not overly. It told of the history of the men who were the main characters and how they came to be in the Final Posse. I liked the family stories and the bad stories that brought them all together. The detail also to what happend to the Head, and the people who were killed. The ending was also good, and I was not left hanging, Austin kindly put together where the men went after the Hunt, who stayed in Sleepy Hollow, and who left. I look forward to the next story! Thank You Austin Dragon for a great story!

    I received a copy of this in exchange for an honest review.
    I would gladly have paid for the books without a thought.
    Mr Dragon has pulled off an imaginative adaptation of the classic novel. Leaving no details unturned in expounding on the Sleepy Hollow legend.
    Its all in the details and its well thought out and flawless.
    I would highly recommend this series.
