    This a fantastic bonus look at the inner workings of Samuel Shaughnessy's brain in regards to relationships. Specifically, his " non-relationship" relationship with his perfect match, Mac O' Bannon. I won't give away the story, but basically Taylor V. Donovan fills in what happened on the Florida vacation that led to the infamous matching tattoos, and the new rules for their relationship. To really appreciate this sojourn, you HAVE TO have read Six Degree of Lust, and Six Degrees of Separation beforehand . Otherwise, it won't make sense. Remember; this is not the next book in the series, (Six Degrees of Agony.) This is an in-depth character study of that fascinating amalgamation of contradictions: Special Agent Samuel Shout uneasy. Read it, and enjoy viewing their fateful, life-changing vacation from a different perspective. Added bonus: the sex scenes are scorching!!!

    I'm a huge fan of the By Degrees books and was not disappointed in this latest story of Sam and Mac. It takes place early on in their non traditional non relationship, relationship and really focuses on Sams internal battle with his feelings for Mac. It was fun and sometimes frustrating as they navigated through the rough patches. I loved every minute if it even when I wanted to slap Sam! Very romantic, hot sex scenes and a love story that I know gets better with time! good job Ms. Donovan! Can't wait for the next installment

    I’m a huge fan of the By Degrees series but this just didn’t do it for me. I reread the first 2 books and the novella but the Sam in this book seemed like a completely different person (in a bad way). The grammar and spelling errors also took me out of the book (gingers when she meant fingers was a particularly bad one). Usually I am riveted by everything this author writes but I found myself skipping pages. As long as we have waited on this book, I’m just a little disappointed. Sorry TVD

    Ich hatte mich sehr auf ein neues Buch aus dieser Serie gefreut und hatte am Anfang unerwartete Schwierigkeiten wieder in die Story reinzufinden. Aber kein Wunder schließlich liegen ein paar Jahre und tausend Bücher zwischen den Teilen. In meiner Erinnerung sind die Bücher spannend und die Charaktere fesselnd . In diesem Buch folgte am Anfang eine Sexszene der nächsten mit pseudo intellekten Gelaber vor, während und nach dem Sex . Die in die Mund- spuck -Szene war so gar nicht mein Ding und Sams im Kreise drehende Gedanken gingen mir auch schnell auf die Nerven. Das war eine ganz große Enttäuschung für mich und ich hoffe sehr, dass der nächste Teil besser wird.

    This is an extended look at what happened during Sam and Mac's little break in Florida, set between Six Degrees of Lust and Six Degrees of Separation, and you definitely need to have read Six Degrees of Lust first for anything to make sense. This one is full of Sam's introspection and internal monologues, and Mac's sneaky methods of getting his own way while gently 'persuading' Sam to revise his thinking on everything and nothing. I loved the catch-up with the two of them, and am still holding out hope that one day I will get to hold Six Degrees of Agony in my grubby mitts!!

    Just finished today this is a longer version of a short story she already did, set between six degrees of lust and six degrees of separation it is about Sam and Mac’s vacation from Sam’s point of view and I really enjoyed this book and like that you got a lot more insight into them becoming a couple I will say there is nothing on the murders in the other stories so if you are after any progress in that story line then you will not get it, however it does start to take there romance to the next stage .
