Snared Kindle Edition
At the village pub, Martin meets with an unexpectedly frosty welcome from the locals, while enigmatic Irish photographer Calum shows a strange interest in him. Calum’s intense lure is impossible to resist, even though all Martin’s instincts tell him to be wary.
But Martin’s nights are plagued with visions of hunting and snares—and free spirit Calum seems to have an unsettling insight into his dreams. The villagers have a secret to keep, and if Martin’s not careful, he could be the one caught in their deadly trap.

About the author

JL Merrow is that rare beast, an English person who refuses to drink tea. She read Natural Sciences at Cambridge, where she learned many things, chief amongst which was that she never wanted to see the inside of a lab ever again.
She writes (mostly) contemporary gay romance and mysteries, and is frequently accused of humour. Her novel Slam! won the 2013 Rainbow Award for Best LGBT Romantic Comedy, and several of her books have been EPIC Awards finalists, including Muscling Through, Relief Valve (the Plumber’s Mate Mysteries) and To Love a Traitor.
JL Merrow is a member of the Romantic Novelists’ Association, International Thriller Writers, Verulam Writers and the UK GLBTQ Fiction Meet organising team.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 28, 2021This is gemlike in its compact beauty. No long expositions, just crystal clear storytelling. And a very good story it is. There's meeting and meeting again and a marvelous ending.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2021Martin. An Englishman on a walking tour of Scotland. He rescues a mountain lion caught in a snare. Is scratched, but not bitten. Treated by his landlady, and given a tetanus shot the next day, he also meets Callum, a transplanted Irishman, charming and hotter than the hinges of hell.
Strange things begin to happen, the villagers aren’t too friendly, and after Martin and Callum hooked up, things change drastically.
Really enjoyed this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Intriguing Story.
This is the second cat shifter book I’ve read and again I’m quite surprised as to how much I enjoyed it, something different. Martin and Calum were both very interesting mc’s, especially Calum with his Irish way of talking and his cheeky but mysterious banter. It was a short story but it really held me, couldn’t put it down, I like this author style

3.0 out of 5 stars A Shifter Romance
Well...this was not as good as I expected. I am a fan of J.L. Merrow and I love her particular style of British humor and characters. But that specific style is absent here and that makes this just an ordinary Shifter story.
