Ain't Snow Mountain High Enough (Snowed In - Valentine's Inc. Book 8) Kindle Edition

4.1 out of 5 stars 213 ratings

Rest and relaxation weren’t the only things on Adam’s mind when he agreed to go winterize his friend’s cabin in the mountains. Since he’d been struggling to meet his deadline for his book, he figured a quick weekend getaway was just what he needed to get his creativity flowing again. What Adam hadn’t counted on was coming face-to-face with Rhys—the only man Adam had let close after his world had nearly ended. Only Rhys took his battered heart and disappeared with it.

Fresh air and a few days off were exactly what Rhys needed—whether he knew it or not. After booking Rhys a cabin for the weekend, his best friend packed him a bag and sent him toward the mountains. Lack of GPS and a cabin mix up lead Rhys back to Adam. An unexpected snowstorm traps them together.

With nothing but a few walls between them and Mother Nature preventing them from leaving, will Adam and Rhys take advantage of fate bringing them together again? Or have hearts been broken far beyond repair?

Ain’t Snow Mountain High Enough is book 8 of the Valentine’s Inc. series, but it can be read as a stand-alone. It’s a second-chance novella that ends with a happily ever after.

This is a terrific tale of a second chance romance, of forgiveness and love rekindled. Adam is a successful book author, having trouble finishing his latest story, so he goes to his friend’s cabin. Also in need of a break from his energy zapping job, Rhys is going to a cabin also, but doesn’t end up in the correct one. He ends up in Adam’s place, ruining both of their solitude opportunities.
It is tense at first, because Adam still doesn’t know why Rhys left him with no explanation. Adam had barely survived his husband’s death previously, then Rhys leaving him, left him extremely hurt.
Board games, a power outage, food shared and the inevitable conversation, all changed the initial shock of being snowed in together.
Likable guys, a forced situation, hot sexy times, and anticipation are all here.
    Enjoy !

Adam and Rhys were completely snowed in and in a remote mountain cabin. They had known each other before and it's totally accidental that they are in the same cabin this time. Will they become friends again?

Loved Ain’t Snow Mountain High Enough!! Brittany Cournoyer never disappoints! Book eight in the Snowed In -Valentine’s Inc. series; Ain’t Snow Mountain High Enough tells the story of former lovers, Alex and Rhys. Unexpectedly snowed in together on a mountain; Alex and Rhys are forced to confront their painful past while fighting their feelings for each other. A fun, quick story that I read in one sitting; I loved Alex and Rhys and found myself rooting for more snow so that they would have time to work things out and find their way back to each other.

Adam's a m/m novelist who heads to his friends cabin to hopefully get away from his writers block. He expects peace and quiet, beauty and serenity. What he get's though, is a cabin mate, in the form of an ex-best friend/former lover.

Rhys ran out on Adam after the crossed the line between friendship and ??? He fled because he didn't feel he could compete with Adam's deceased husband.

Faulty GPS, lands him in Adam's cabin, rather than the one his friend rented for him, and a snow storm keeps him stranded there. When the power goes out, they're left with only each other.

Avoidance turns to so much more, but you'll just have to read this wonderful little book to find out what that "more" is.

Adam and Rhys are endearing and have a wonderful chemistry. You completely feel for them throughout as you root for them to work out their issues and reunite once and for all.

Their best friends are great, supportive, and unafraid to have their backs while telling them what they need to hear.

This is a lovely, fun tale that engages you from the off.

Even for a novella, I didn’t get the depth of character I’m used to from this author. The reason the one guy bailed was ridiculous and finally, water doesn’t stop when the power goes out. Otherwise the pipes freeze which is what he was up there to prevent to begin with. So, not a bad interlude, but unlike several of the others in the snowed in series, it’s not re-read worthy.

Really good story. Just enough angst to make it real and just enough smarts to make it happen ;) enjoyed these two

I great addition to the series, a second chance romance. Fate puts Rhys and Adam in the same cabin during a snow storm. Loved the characters and their emotions. Highly recommend
