Soiled Touch: A Bratva Arranged Marriage Romance Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 167 ratings

He dirties her up and she cleanses his soul.

VIKTOR ORLOV
I have no problem taking advantage of the power, prestige, and wealth my last name and family give me. Why shouldn’t I? My brothers have the empire covered and my role in the family has never been clear beyond being the youngest. Why not have fun?

When I’m blindsided by an arranged marriage, one completely out of my control, the only thing I can do is accept it. I enjoy my freedom too much and I won’t make this easy on whoever my wife is. I don’t see why I need to give up the fun I’ve been having; the marriage isn’t real. It might be in the name of some tentative peace between families, but I don’t trust her or her family.

The longer I’m forced to be around Calla, the more I soften toward her. Why do I want to protect her from her brother and my past? It doesn’t make any sense and I don’t deserve to touch her with my soiled hands. When secrets are revealed and my resistance crumbles, I find that I want to make this marriage between us real. Can I earn her trust and prove to my wife that I’m ready for forever while keeping her safe and finding my place in my family’s legacy?

CALLA SOKOLOV
People looking in from the outside would think I have it all, but they have no idea what happens behind closed doors. My life is bleak in ways few would ever understand. My brother, Pavel, has found the power he’s sought for so long with the death of our parents. How is it possible that I’m grieving alone?

For so long, the only thing I’ve had control over is my body. When Pavel comes to me and tells me I’m getting married to strengthen the ties between the Sokolov and Orlov Bratva families, will my body continue to be my own? Marrying Viktor isn’t something I want, but I can’t fight it. Maybe I can use this to gain my freedom.

It’s clear Viktor doesn’t want or trust me, but I feel something for him, even if I shouldn’t. Is this just another trial to endure? Will he betray our marriage to rebel against what has been forced upon us? What happens to the resentment between us when secrets come to light? Can love bloom in our marriage?

**18+. This story has dark themes and a morally gray hero. You’ll still find an insta-love story that is spicy and isn’t necessarily simple, but with darker themes, situations, rough spicy times, and depictions of violence (not between the MMC and MFC). No cheating with a guaranteed HEA, but there will be OW (other woman) drama. This book is part of my Orlov Bratva series but can be read as a standalone. Meet Viktor in Snowed In With the Bratva Boss and Gilded Thorn.**

Ember Davis loves alpha heroes with a range of emotions, but a strong sense of how to take care of their women. She loves her heroines from all walks of life, just like her heroes, and she wants them to be real and relatable. Her heroines tend to be sassy, opinionated and smart.

Ember is a stay at home mom of two who recently refound her love of books and all things romance and is so glad that she did. She’s always been creative, but writing and creating stories that she would love to read satisfies the dreams she had as a little girl. She loves butterflies, the color purple and enjoying time with her family.

Pssst…it’s totally a pen name, but everything above is 100% true.

Calla and Viktor's story starts as an arranged marriage but ends up as so much more. There's an instant connection and it developes into such an amazing love. There is a little bit of OW drama, but no cheating involved. It has lots of steam and very protective men. This was such a great book.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is an arranged marriage romance, mafia style. I didn't like Viktor at the beginning but he finally grew on me. He needed to be brought down a few pegs. Calla is a mafia princess being used by her pig of a brother. What she doesn't know is that she's going to wind up in a much better family. Once i got past Viktor's immaturity, the story got better for me. Nikolai is trying to do the right things for Calla while hoping his brother will take some responsibility for once. I had mixed feelings about this book. Overall it was a good story, but for me, the connection between these two wasn't believable until towards the end. I liked how Calla learns to stand up for herself and Vitkor grows up finally

I very .much enjoyed this short story. It moved at a quick pace that I totally enjoyed. There was conflict, tension and romance. I loved the main characters. Sometimes you just want a quick read that totally enjoyable. This was it for me. Don't pass this one up.

Calla sees her arranged marriage as an escape from her abusive brother, Victor sees it as a way for his brothers to chain him down. But the more time these two spend together the more they realize they are meant to be in this dark and decadent tale.

While I enjoy most of Ember Davis’ work, I felt this one fell a little on the flat side. This latest installment of the Orlov Bratva is a forced marriage story between the youngest Orlov brother and the Solokov princess. A marriage neither of them wants.

Calla is being forced to marry by her dangerous brother who views women as commodities to be bought and sold and abused, if so desired. Viktor is forced by the head of the Orlov family to marry in an effort to curb his immature antics and possibly protect Calla in the process.

Even though it is a short novella, there really isn’t much of a plot. There isn’t much chemistry between the two and it seems as if Calla gives in way too easy. While the ending was not a surprise, I do wish there was a more defined finish to her brother’s future. I generally love Davis’ work, but I probably won’t read this one again.

I always a stories by this author as they are quick reads but give you a full story. Calla is stuck under her psychotic brother’s control after her parent’s death. Forced into marriage with another Bratva family she doesn’t know if life will be better or safer for her. Viktor, the youngest of the Orlov brothers, is angry that his freedom is taken away. Can they find a way to make a marriage work? Great spicy but sweet love journey. HEA

The way that this mafia family treats women, finds their love, cherishes their women and ensures their happiness is inspiring, and steamy. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and the wrap up of this family.

This is the story of the youngest Orlov Brother, Viktor, and his arranged marriage to Calla, the recently orphaned mafia princess of the Sokolov mafia family. After the death of her parents, Calla's brother has become increasingly hostile to Callas and he has decided to use her to solidify an alliance with the Orlov Bratva. Viktor as the youngest son, has been a party and playboy with no real role in the family so when his older brothers tell him he must marry, he is not happy. Nikolai, the head of the family, explains that Calla is a prisoner and her parents’ deaths are suspicious and if he marries her it will keep her safe. Viktor agrees and when he meets Calla he feels an immediate pull but ignores it. Calla agrees because she has no choice but is immediately drawn to Viktor, but is disappointed by his avoidance. Can they make their marriage real?

I loved this book, it is a part of a larger Mafia world but you don't need to read the other books to keep up, but I would recommend them. Its a little different than the normal instalove stories because they both fight their feelings despite being joined in marriage. But the delay makes the story and HEA that much sweeter.

Its probably one of my favorites in the Mafia world Ember Davis has created. Its definitely going on my reread list.
