The Difference Between Someday and Forever (The Difference Trilogy Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 2,261 ratings

The world took everything from us.

As survivors of not only a plane crash, but two other impossible tragedies, we’d more than earned a life of peace. But time and time again, we were shown that fate had no intention of giving that to us.

Remi and I were soulmates. Plain and simple. Our love should have died in the depths of our darkness, but the sun still exists even when it’s not shining.

The secrets of our past threatened to destroy us at every turn, but for Remi, I would never stop fighting for our future.

The world took everything from us.
And we would stop at nothing until we took it all back—forever.

Originally from Savannah, Georgia, USA Today bestselling author Aly Martinez now lives in South Carolina with her four hilarious children.

Never one to take herself too seriously, she enjoys movies that can surprise her with a twist, charcuterie boards, and her mildly neurotic golden retriever. It should be known, however, that she hates pizza and ice cream, almost as much as writing her bio in the third person.

She passes what little free time she has reading anything and everything she can get her hands on, preferably with a glass of wine by her side.

WOW!!! What a rush!!! What a read!!!
WOW!!! What a rush!!! What a read!!! Aly Martinez’s latest touching thriller of a trilogy continues to WOW ME!!! The Difference Between Someday and Forever is a special and soul-deep love story that’s extraordinary and unexpected, one that engraves the heart for a lifetime. I LOVED IT! Anchored by time and touched by love, this explosive romance entails a strong and stunning heroine who is rediscovering herself and the melt-worthy hero who shows her how it is to be truly loved. Bowen defines hero, a man every man should be. Remi is a whirlwind of beauty and bold who embodies strength and sweetness. I couldn’t help but feel Bowen and Remi’s soul-deep connection, full of fate and forever love. Aly Martinez weaves an unforgettably heartrending story about falling in love. The Difference Between Someday and Forever makes you want to grab onto every opportunity, take risks, open your heart to love, and live life to the fullest. It shows that the little things are really the big moments. Beautiful, breathtaking and brilliantly told, this tale touches everywhere. This is Bowen and Remi’s conclusion and I was so excited to see the finale. This is absolutely a story of determination, overcoming obstacles, and a little bit of letting fate decide.

Bowen has been fighting for Remi throughout this series, and this final book is no different. I love the way he loves her and is so willing to do whatever she needs in order for her to be happy. He is her ultimate protector and is such a white-knight character that I loved him from the start.

Remi has a lot to figure out and worries that she doesn’t know herself after the events of the last few years. Finding herself means she wants complete independence and moves away from home in order to figure out who she wants to be. I’ll be honest, the way she went about figuring out herself was the one part of this final book that really bugged me. I struggled with her decision to separate herself from her family and friends in order to heal, but ultimately loved the way her journey reached it’s finish.

These two have so much fate, or serendipity, or whatever you want to call it involved in their relationship that I wanted them together completely. There were so many twists and turns in their story that I couldn’t have imagined. Even in this third installment, I thought we had seen the end of the surprises (after that cliffhanger and revelation at the end of the last book I didn’t think there could be more), but their story was not over and this was not a smooth sailing third book.

This was a whirlwind of a trilogy filled with surprises that left me continually shocked and surprised. Once again, Aly Martinez has created characters and a story that stretches the imagination and keeps readers guessing.

Okay, thus book was good, in fact really good but not great. I felt like the series went down from the first book, I gave it a 5 star then 4.5 and now to a 4. Honestly, the story is really good but like some other reviews, it could have been a duet and not a trilogy. I felt once again that there was too much filler in this one, repeitiveness. She annoyed me a little in how she treated Bowen, like taking him for granted which she comes to realization. That whole trip in north Carolina with them pretending was kinda dumb and unnecessary. I think in thus book, I really felt sad and sorry for the dogs. The whole epiphany of running away (again) then me and you forever in a 48 hour span was a whiplash. I would have given this a 3.5 if it weren't for the twist in the end. That was neat which explained her "woman crying" flash. This was a good story but stretched out too much with fillers.

Aly Martinez hurts you and breaks you, taking it all away from you until you almost can't take it anymore. But then she gives it all back. And it's masterfully done.

It's still Bowen and Remi's story. It's still the narrative of everything they've been through, what they're still enduring, and what could be. It's still the emotional rollercoaster that made me keep turning the pages just to know more – because they felt like real people to me.

There was still a lot of angst. A lot of emotion, a lot of regret, and so much love it will warm your heart. But there was also a lot of healing in these pages. For both the characters, and myself.

The world took everything from them, except their love for each other. It can move mountains. It can do anything. They can do anything.
The final book in this trilogy shows you it was never about the destination for Bowen and Remi. It was the journey that mattered to them, however hard it's been. Because the destination had already been set. The final stop was always going to be them. Forever.

One of the best of the year for me.

I read the trilogy in 2 days. Need I say more. Just when I thought there couldn’t be anymore twists, turns, or surprises I was knocked off my feet. But I expect nothing less from Aly Martinez! Woozers!

I'm this final book I had a lot of different feelings. Glad the abduction part of the story was solved and surprised who it ended up being. I was not a fan of Remi until the last few chapters. Yeah things were hidden from her but all out of love. How did she expect to remember things and not have anyone to talk to? Running from Bowen and her family was ridiculous. Poor Bowen went through a lot of pain and she did it to him by her actions before and after the crash. So good to find out there actually was another girl that Mark abused but it all happened so fast. I was not a fan of this book or ending there was SO much going on. Too much drag in the middle I paged through some of it. Glad they got there HEA it just took too long!

So...first off, loved the 3 books. This one was a bit slow for me..it took me longer to read simply bc i didn't want to open it as much, but overall, it was good.

The Mark thing was a bit anticlimactic and fast.

And the Remi thing, where she moves away...not really sure where her frame of mind was...but I thought it was dumb. Her whole rationale just didn't make sense to me.

But still, the author has a way of creating characters that really seem real. Ans that's a talent.

The third a final book in this wonderful heart rendering series. Bowen is such a patient man who is so in love with Remi, who has to find herself. The drama continues, and dear friends appear less so as the story unfolds. The twists turns, and shocking revelations are totally jaw dropping. Without giving the story away. There are incredibly chapters of the romantic scenes, and yet very humbling to read. The chemistry sheer crackles off the pages between these two. Humour also abounds, and the descriptions of the four legged characters is delightful. It is well written, flows well and a delight as ever to read from such a talented author. Well worth more than 5 stars.

Loved this series with Remi and Bowen. Fate certainly has a big part in their story. It had me in from the first book and I couldn’t put them down until I’d finished all three. There were some twists to the plot and surprises. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole storyline. Love reading any of Aly’s books.

The story I found was great. Then the author started adding others names to the same person. Like for Sally who I figured out was Remi. I read all 3 books. Was lost and confused , on who was who... Uuuuug ! So not my type of read. For good-na-shske , stick with one name and quit giving the people in the story more then one name.. Crazy.
