    I absolutely loved reading book 2 of the Hemlock Creek series! It's a second chance romance about high school sweethearts ~ Tobias and Liddie ~ who meet up 30 years later. Can they overcome their past relationships issues, family secrets and current obstacles and finally get a HEA or will destiny have other plans for them?
    The author, Josie Kerr does an incredible job getting in-depth with both the main & secondary characters and the story line emotionally, that you as the reader can feel what they are going through! I read a lot and I must say that "Sounds and Spirits" is one of the best books of this genre that I have read! Looking forward to reading more in this series!

    I loved this book about two "seasoned" adults. I loved the second chance this couple got after being high school sweethearts and then being separated for thirty years. I loved that they didn't give up on their love. This is a well-written book with interesting characters. Great Book!!

    While I enjoyed the sexy, romantic comedy that is the first book, Whiskey and Serendipity, this one was more romantic and heartfelt for me. I was rooting for Liddie and Tobias to find a way back to each other after 30 years apart. Liddie returns to her hometown years later with her daughter Tally and her granddaughter. It was interesting that Liddie was 48 and looking to make a fresh start. Tobias was in his 40s too and suddenly inspired to create music again.

    There was an earnestness in Tobias, and his attention to Liddie was thoughtful as well as sexy. This story was about coming home and facing the past, meeting up with people who did not wish them well. There was his abusive father and her abusive ex-husband as well as Tally's abusive husband. Quite the pattern repeating.

    This story had intimacy in the moments of Tobias and Liddie being together that not all romance books have. I really appreciated it. Tobias demonstrated how a man in love should treat a woman he loves. The sex was erotic and sizzled!

    There was also that secret that Liddie had been hiding that I thought I knew what it was, but I did not. The revelations that are tossed out as they get closer are ones that either make or break a relationship. Theirs was no lightweight romance, but a sturdy, intimate love affair.

    I am hoping for more in this series!!

    Note: I received an advance reader copy, but later I 1-clicked the boxset that includes this ebook because I enjoyed it so much that I needed to own a copy. This is my honest review.

    Loved this book and love that it was with an older/middle-aged couple. Plus add in that it's a second chance romance and you get a wonderful book. I could not put this book down and can't wait to read the next in the series. I got this put thru KU but it's so good I will be buying it to have to re-read. :-)

    Sounds and Spirts the second book in the Hemlock creek series is another heart warming Josie Kerr book.
    We all have a past. Some more messy than others around us. Meet Liddie, a now single mom. Who with her daughter and her granddaughter move back to her home town. Where her first and only love resides. Tobias hasn't has an easy time with his life. His ex left him for his father. She can't move on , even though she dumped him.
    When Liddie and Tobias rekindle their relationship. Secrets from the past read their ugly head. Can they get their HEA after all the time apart? Add in family and two doggies. It is one interesting ride.

    Such a lovely combo of sweet and spicey...some suspense/intrigue and the couple is over 40! Yay! Loved it all, can't wait for the next one in the series!
