Rebel's Strike: A Military Sci-Fi Series (Space Troopers Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.6 out of 5 stars 720 ratings

When a tyrannical corporation seizes control, two young patriots will risk everything to liberate humanity.

With the system engulfed in a corporate war, Jai and Peyton are yanked in different directions. Jai has joined the rebellion while Peyton is amassing a pirate fleet. But when an old friend brings the twins back together, they learn of Zona’s sinister plan to quell the rebellion and institute an iron grip over the entire solar system.

Peyton has found her calling as a pirate captain. She’s building a fleet with ships she’s stolen and people she’s saved. But when both the Zona fleet and other pirate clans come at Peyton from every angle, it’ll take every ounce of skill—and a whole lot of luck—to stay in the game.

Jai’s computer skills are among the best in the system. His work is crucial to the rebellion, but when he’s infected with deadly nanites, he finds himself in a race against time to save himself from becoming a cyber-zombie.

The Epic Finale of the Space Troopers series is here. A no-holds-barred adventure where the fate of the solar system is dependent on the twins. To win, an inexperienced pirate captain must face a battle-hardened general, and an injured computer hacker must take on the galaxy’s most advanced AI. If either fails, Zona wins.

I had so much fun reading this, following the adventures of these characters as they change and grow is amazing. On the downside, the physics tend to change to suit the plot. The speed of light limitation for communication is ignored. Ships zoom around the solar system in days or weeks over distances that should take months or years. For all that, I still enjoyed it a lot.

Jamie McFarlane always turns out page turners and his joint effort with Rachel Aukes is no exception. The story is good as a star alone, but is a lot richer if you have read the first two books. The space troopers series and book 3 Rebels Strike is as good as the first two books. Just make sure you have time because you won't want to put this one down, even if you really need to sleep or work!p

Jamie McFarlane produced another winner. My only complaint: it was too short of a series. Great characters, great world building. A real page turner, again,

The mechanics of space warfare. The intersection of bioengineering and information technology on attack and defense. Corporations controlling worlds. All of these things working together like the works of an astronomical clock. I loved it.

Human dignity is both precious and powerful. Discipline instilled with compassion enables disparate individuals to bond with a shared vision to achieve far more than many might believe or expect. Well told.

This third book of the Space Troopers series was just about exactly what I was hoping for. Great storyline, new and interesting characters, places and tech. An excellent escape into another world. This is what I read fiction for and both Jamie McFarlane and Rachel Aukes did it right with this one. I thought this was the last book of the series, but it seemed to set the stage for a continued saga for Peyton and Jai. I recommend Rebel's Strike and hope for more.

I’ve just finished the trilogy and it’s fantastic! I couldn’t put the iPad down and was engrossed to the end. This is the third set of books I’ve read from this author and highly recommend them. The characters are alive and their is just the right amount of detail. Well done Jamie, another hit! Keep them coming…

Two excellent authors, an enthralling story and at least one satisfied reader. A great series with fun characters, pretty much what you’d expect from RA and JM.

    Well worth reading.

3.0 out of 5 stars Long build up, very quick finale
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on March 12, 2022
The whole series is ok, this book seemed to progress as you would expect it, but after what seemed 350 pages of build up, the ending took 40 or so
Overall 2.8 books ok, the last 0.2 poor and it's that last little bit that spoils it all
