I never review books but this one had me hooked. I read the whole thing in two days. I’ve never been interested enough to read that much in a short time. Of course, I’m a dog lover so I’m in.

I have just finished the last of the 3 books that comprise this section of the "You ain't nothing but a pound dog" series. This 1st book introduces us to Clarissa , orphaned, and raised in a girl school for witches. In this book she discovers that she had a grandfather, recently departed, and his dog who is loyal and faithful. Over the course of this book We discover the Clarissa has reason to be suspicious of her grandfather's death, and that Toby, his dog, has hidden Talents. We are also introduced to the bad guys, and some of the good guys who will be instrumental in driving the plot.I normally try to stay away from books that have cliffhangers at the end but since all 3 books have been so easily available on came in kindle unlimited, I wasn't too dismayed by this fact. Just be aware that you'll need all 3 of them! I just finished them all in one sitting! This book starts slow, but soon picks up its pace, So persevere.

A fantastic start to the series. Definitely pulls you in and gets you eager to read on. Unusual to have a dog as the main character but if you live dogs you'll fall in love with Toby straight away.
