Spencer Cohen Series, Book Three (The Spencer Cohen Series 3) Kindle Edition

4.7 out of 5 stars 1,050 ratings

NEW 2023 COVERS - NO NEW CONTENT HAS BEEN ADDED

Learning to be in a committed relationship has been easy for Spencer. In fact, too easy. Andrew has fit into his life seamlessly. Spencer’s let go of his insecurities and hang-ups, and he and Andrew are enjoying where things are headed. For the first time in years, Spencer’s life is unbelievably perfect.

Andrew overthinks everything. So when Spencer gets a phone call from Australia, he’s certain Spencer will push him away. But instead of driving them apart, maybe it will solidify what they already have. Maybe Spencer will depend on Andrew more than ever.

Maybe the Spencer Cohen story will come full circle, and maybe, just maybe, Spencer will have the happily ever after he never thought possible.

Spencer and Andrew will steal your heart. They are unique, funny, endearing and all around amazing. On the surface they might seem like complete opposites, but throughout the series each layer that's revealed is another piece that matches perfectly with the other. Every bit of time spent with Andrew and Spencer was a treat and there was the very enjoyable bonus of having all the secondary characters that really added depth and interest to Andrew and Spencer's story. It was the perfect balance of interaction. Gotta say, I laughed out loud at one part where Sarah and Andrew's parents saw a little more of Spencer than Spencer wanted. So very funny.

Andrew is HOT. Geek/nerd exterior and situationally shy demeanor, but under the argyle vests he's toned and ripped and has it going on. And when bossy Andrew makes an appearance, he's even hotter. Whew. Lucky Spencer.

And Spencer has a sexy Australian accent, and tattoos that tell his life story. Trendy clothes and haircut. And he loves to speak his mind and see if he can make shy Andrew blush. Hot.

I read Spencer Cohen Book One when it first came out in February. It was only the second book I read from N.R. Walker, but I fell in love with Spencer and Andrew. Since then (as I anxiously awaited books two and three), I've consumed book after book from this author. I seriously LOVE both Red Dirt Heart and Turning Point series. I'm in love with the characters and how they interact with each other, their silly/sweet moments and the deep love and connection and humor that make them so perfect for each other. Spencer found his soulmate and perfect fit in Andrew, and I feel like I've found my perfect fit for an author. Spencer and Andrew and Charlie and Travis (Red Dirt Heart) are so unbelievably endearing..and Kira and Matt...siiigh. <3 <3

Go spend some time with Spencer and Andrew, you'll love them!...and if you haven't already met Charlie and Travis, you really need to do that too! Right away!

This review is for all 3 books in the series.

    I don't think there's anyone who doesn't like N.R. Walker's book.
I absolutely have the same concept with hers :
'Likes it when they do dirty, dirty things… but likes it even more when they fall in love'.

Spencer Cohen series gives you enough time to 'feels' how they fall in love with each others. And that made the series so beautiful and perfect. There's no rush that will sometimes make you wonder 'when and how and why the characters fell in love so deeply like that??'.

The author made you see and understand why and how they were drawn to each other, how their feelings have changed and tried to adjust...Slowly. I love it very much. Well, you may thought, it's a series so there's enough pages and numbers of book to be able to split, but the fact is that there are so many series out there but very few can make it good like this.

I love her writing style that the story will be narrated by first person all along the way (I'm not much a fan of alternating style), and still could manage to make reader fall in love with both main characters nearly as same. This is a fine art in my point of view.

Oh, and I think N.R. Walker can become music (shop)'s representative as a sideline job (laugh).
Reading her books so far, I cannot count how many albums or songs I have been buying because of her characters.
I thought I bought quite a numbers when I read 'Red Dirt Heart' series, including many country songs I normally don't like that much. Not including another BD set of Die Hard series (while I already owned DVD version..)

And because of Spencer and Andrews, after finishing this series, I've bought (of course!) Jeff Buckley's Grace Legacy album together with his Live version one (sorry Spencer I don't have record player now so I have to buy CD instead).
And although I'm normally classical music fan, I also bought another album of Moonlight sonata by Wilhelm Kempff, and 2 albums of vocal classical jazz music (I love 'At Last' too), and an album of Art Tatum !!
Not to mention about 'How to Train Your Dragon' BD ( I already have DVD as well).
These two super cute guys made me spent a lot!!! (laugh)

Thank God, there's no those 'magazines' available...like, for real....ha.

Anyway, thank you so much for introducing many 'Beauty' to me, N.R. Walker.

I ate this trilogy UP! Completely binged it. It was beautiful, and I didn’t expect to cry as much as I did in book 3 but the emotions involved with the heavier subject matter got to me. I only wish those terrible parents got what they deserved, but I had to remind myself sometimes this is reality and nasty people get away with being absolutely awful. But to me, this trilogy really captured a realistic pace of falling in love. This relationship felt authentic to me, from the attraction at the first meeting, developing feelings, communication, maneuvering a new relationship, dealing with hardships, taking those leaps of faith. I loved it all 🥹🩵 N. R. Walker does it again!

This was the perfect ending to the trilogy. It was absolutely beautiful and though I'd have loved to see the opening of the Archer Cohen Foundation, I loved the way it ended too.

5.0 out of 5 stars A perfect final book with an amazing epilogue!!!!

So there I was, happily reading the Spencer Cohen series and thinking that it was a sweet, lovely, but simple kind of story. Certainly worthy of the four star rating I was planning to give it but not outstanding enough for five…

Annnnd then I got to book three…

    Omg.

Suddenly I was crying my eyes out and my heart hurt.

I just adored Spencer and Andrew and I loved their story so, so much!

Spencer had suffered some big hurts in his life but he had largely overcome them to live his life the way he wanted. He carried an understandable reluctance to let people close, but those he did let in were his biggest supporters and totally worthy of his trust, his friend group were amazing!

It was harder to get to know Andrew (due to the story being told from Spencer’s perspective), but it was clear that Andrew was a great guy and so utterly perfect for Spencer!! He had his own little insecurities (which Spencer helped him with) but he was just as important in helping Spencer too!!

They were everything each other needed!!

This was yet another fabulous story/series by NR Walker, honestly, she can do no wrong!!!

And I’d just like to give a special mention to Cindy Crawford and Lola, what a great little comedic side story that made!! Haha!!

Still in love with Spencer and Andrew. It really is a beautiful story about love and comfort and trust and the importance of having people around who love the real you and family and opening your eyes to the little things. My heart still hurts thinking about his younger brother.

It is sad that we still see differences between gender, skin color or sexuality. I teally can't understand.
IMO how we act defines us, how we treat other people and animals defines us. Not religion, not education, not place of employment or anything else.
Everyone can have their own likes and dislikes and that is OKAY aswell. Not okay is wanting to force your opinion on others. And a parent disowning their child because of who they love is just, I don't even have words. Even if they don't understand, they don't have to, just give them your unconditional support.
But I am afraid human kind will never change but just shift their prejudices to other topics.

This series is beautiful but still highlights some hard truths we still have to face.

And on I go rereading another hard one and the last book in this series "Yanni's Story".

    Parts that made me smile:
“It was the colours that I couldn’t decide. You see, colour and shading is paramount in what I do when I draw at work, but for you, I just couldn’t decide. I wanted primary colours: red, blue, green. Because from those, all colours are made. And that’s what I think of when I think of you. The basis of all colours and light…”

"Spencer Cohen, if there was a magazine called The Only Man I Want to Spend My Life With, you’d be on the cover, of every edition, ever. ..."

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect. Must read series.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on April 21, 2016
This series can be summed up in one word, 'Perfect.' Great writing, strongly written MCs and wonderful secondary characters, what a wonderful end to the series. Andrew and Spencer now very closely rival my favourite N R Walker couple, Travis and Charlie, of 'Red Dirt' fame.

This was a beautifully written epilogue for Spencer and Andrew, I loved that their story was so straightforward, both realising early in their relationship that they were perfect for one another, despite their past hurts and vulnerabilities. Their story played out beautifully.

All loose ends were tied up, Spencer's ghosts were laid to rest and his family situation was resolved. Unfortunately, it took a tragedy for this to come about, however, Andrew was there all the way for Spencer, holding his hand and comforting him at every turn. I was also pleased that Yanni's situation was settled satisfactorily, I was so happy that he too got his happily ever after.

All three books are definitely keepers, which I shall re-read time and time again, they're so full of tenderness and happy. As long as Ms Walker churns books out of this calibre, I will most certainly reread them. This isn't a standalone though, all three books need to be read to get the full effect of Spencer and Andrew's story. 5+ stars for the whole series.

This book! This series! I loved it so much! So much emotion in this story. I cried (happy tears) more than once. The epilogue, as they say, was everything! It was the best ever!! N.R. Walker is consistent in her excellence. In my book she can do no wrong. Highly recommend!
