About the Author
She is many things; a mother, a wife, a sister, a writer. She has pretty, pretty boys who live in her head, who don't let her sleep at night unless she gives them life with words.
She likes it when they do dirty, dirty things...but likes it even more when they fall in love.
She used to think having people in her head talking to her was weird, until one day she happened across other writers who told her it was normal.
She's been writing ever since...

- Reviewed in the United States on May 11, 2018The second part of a Three book series about Spencer and Andrews Story.
This book is a continuation of their Story and is just as well written and Narrated as the first book. I absolutely love this series, and I Love Spencer and Andrew. And once again I am seriously impressed by Joel's narration for this series. You can tell he loves these characters as much as we do with all the emotion and effort he puts into these books. His voices for every single character is still on point with every word, and flows together perfectly. I would highly recommend the book and the Audiobook to everyone. But before reading/listening to this Book you should really check out book one first, to see how they meet and how they ended up together.
Spencer and Andrew have decided to take their relationship slow. They have to try and figure out how to make it work between them, with both their past relationships and work lives included. But you can tell from every word they are totally perfectly made for each other. Spencer has a new, but super Shady client and we get to see how that all plays out. The Heat between the two men is a lot Steamier in this book compared to Just having that one HOT kiss at the end of the first book. No matter how many times I read this book (and now listen to the narration) their story never gets old.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2021This is part two of Spencer and Andrew's story. They both decide they each feel something for the other enough to continue a relationship. It's sweet, honest, with 18 plus sex scene nothing really explicit. It is a romance with some mild really mild action....no real violence..... strong worded hints and maybe a trigger of physical, emotional, and mental abuse for a supporting character Yanni, all referenced to. Recommend reading. I really enjoyed this book and the first one as well. I found the story telling to be sweet middle class low angst and all hiccups in the development of the main relationship was dealt with very quickly, no drawn out long separation or running to talk with friends or family members or referring to prior jacked up relationships of why this isn't going to work. I relate this to a Harlequin M/M romance. Enjoy with a cup of hot cocoa with marshmallows.

5 leap into love stars!! Obsessed doesn’t even begin to cover how I feel about this book!
I thought I was in love with book one, and now after reading book two, I know I’m obsessed!! I love Spencer and Andrew!! By far one of my absolute favorite book couples. In this second installment, Spencer and Andrew decide to give a relationship together a shot. And while they are excited, they’ve decided to take things slow. And let me just tell you the sexual chemistry and angst between these two is explosive. Spencer is learning that he has to open up to Andrew about his past, but he’s scared to open his heart more than he needs to. But while doing so, he realizes he’s falling in love with Andrew, I mean how can he not?? And while Andrew swears he’s not ready for love, he finds himself worried when Spencer takes on a new client. But this new client is more than what Spencer bargained for….
Holy hll….. After that ending I need more!! This series was recommended to me by a friend and I’m so grateful she did! This is one of my favorite series to date!! The story is fast paced, the characters you fall in love with and well, the sexual chemistry is off the charts. What more could you ask for in a book?? Anxiously awaiting book three!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 23, 2016Ok, maybe as an Aussie I am biased, to hear the syntaxes of my speech in writing, or the laid backness. Buuuut, I don't think so.
One of the things I am enjoying about this series so far, is that laid back, feeling good in a new relationship, sunny days kind of feeling. Sure there are some ups and downs in Spencer & Andrews relationship (and in this one a bit of a ....suspense around Lance?), but straight away Spencer is like "no trope like in the movies" and takes the bull by the horns....not trying for a spoiler.
One of the parts of NR's writing I find really great is the dialogue. It doesn't read wooden, false or 'try hard'. Sure, not all of us can make a quick come back to a witty comment or heartfelt words. In Red Dirt Heart (if you haven't read it, do, if you have, you know what I mean) it was first person from a reticent man...the chapter headings alone gave you insight, I loved that series. In 'Spencer Cohen' it is dialogue...funny, interesting, quirky, kind. These two are on the same wavelength, and it is a joy to read that kind of humour and 'natural' speak on page.
Am so looking forward to the next instalment in this series.

4.0 out of 5 stars I liked this book better than the first; maybe 3.75 stars… something just under 4
Like I said above, I liked this book better. I think because there was more with Andrew, we saw a different, delightfully bossier side of him. We also learn about some of his relationship hang-ups which made him feel like a better fleshed-out character than he was in book 1. I still preferred Spencer a bit more though. I’m not sure if it’s because we’re solely in his head or if it’s because he seems to have more going on—with the people he meets for his job as well as spending time with his friends—or just residual preference from book 1. I hope, in book 3, to see more of Andrew’s friends/coworkers. What’s he like around them?
I thought the Lance/Yanni subplot was an interesting counterpoint to the overarching romance. Unfortunately, I accidentally spoiled that plotline for myself because I’d read the summary for Yanni’s book a few days ago with out realizing the significance it would hold. It was still interesting watching everything unfold. Spencer, his friends and Andrew were great for him.
I appreciated the moments when Andrew was there for/supporting Spencer—especially during the parental scenes—because it started to feel like Spencer was doing more of the assuring when they both have relationship issues. Finally, I REALLY appreciated that the almost miscommunication was nipped speedily in the bud.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely first class sequel.
Got this and pulled an all nighter to read it. I totally wasn't disappointed. N R Walker's done it again, what a great sequel, already can't wait for the next book.
Everything is perfect about this book. There could've been a ton of angst over Spencer's job, but there wasn't and the author handled it brilliantly. In fact, any issues that arose were handled smoothly, with the minimum of fuss and maturely by the MCs. I loved how committed Spencer and Andrew were to making their relationship work.
I also enjoyed the secondary characters. There's an interesting back story present too. Oh, and even though Spencer and Andrew are smouldering together, this aspect doesn't take over the book. There's no doubt iny mind that Ms Walker is one of the most talented writers of this genre out there and has produced another winning series. This isn't standalone, by the way, you've gotta read book 1 to follow the story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Out of the ball park!
I didn't think I could love Spencer and Andrew more than I already did. It happened. This book makes me wish there was a big gold buzzer I could press, you know like in those talent shows, that would make it automatically go to number one.
To all those who expressed their disappointment with the first one because there was "no sex," well, good things come to those who wait. Strap yourselves in, load up on protein ;) and enjoy the ride!

4.0 out of 5 stars Aww!
Spencer and Andrew are adorable and funny and I absolutely loved them. Yanni's story kinda broke my heart but I love that he found help. On to the next book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Heartwarming
The author writes descriptive prose with such passion I can see and feel the characters jump off the page. I love the characters, the situations and story are well laid out and give me the warm and fuzzies.

5.0 out of 5 stars even better than the first part
I really like the continuing of the love story between Spence and Andrew. The trust is slowly growing, the side story touching and the steam is great. I really appreciate the balance in their relationship.
