Not knowing if she can trust the stranger she’s betrothed to, the warrior visiting her dreams, or even her own mother, Theo tries to piece together her past only to find that her present is far more dangerous.

Review

"Spirit Binder has it all...romance, magic, mystery, loveable characters, a well written plot, an entertaining tale...so if these qualities are your cup of tea, grab yourself a cup and lose yourself in a good book." - 4 stars, Anita, The Kindle Book Review

"With magic and spells, blood ties and unknown enemies, Spirit Binder is dark, fun fantasy read that can take you away to another world." - 4 stars, Headshot Heather, doubleshotreviews.com

"[Spirit Binder] is a fairly fast-paced novel, moving very quickly and endearing the characters to the reader's heart as it unfolds. I truly enjoyed all the characters . . . and found the entire premise of this novel to be quite unique and very interesting." - 4 stars, A Book Vacation, bookvacations.wordpress.com

"I love when things are different and fresh . . . you'll be totally shaken up with all the things this poor girl has to go through . . . and yet again, she's my hero . . . and then there's Hugh and Ren! I read [Spirit Binder] in one sitting, and no it isn't short, but it's so good. I would classify it more on the fantasy side, with a dystopian feel." - 5 stars, Happy Tails and Tales Blog, magluvsya03.wordpress.com

I've read several other of this author's books, and she does such a good job. Her worlds and characters are all very different - you don't have to worry about anything being formulaic. What you can count on is a very interesting plot (usually revealed like a mystery, little bit by little bit), a strong cast of characters (of whom the lead has always been pretty sympathetic and has enough layers to be real/convincing), and just a solid read. Definitely recommend this. Going to buy sequel now (no cliffhangers, no need to buy sequel - this could standalone if you hate series)

This review is for the Kindle edition ebook.

A story of magical abilities in a world that needs magic to survive.

This is a story of nature, and the enduring magical spirit all nature has. That spirit surrounds us, without most of us ever realizing how powerful nature's magic really is. The story starts out with pain and confusion. It evolves into the story of how powerful nature's spirit can be. I see Theo, the main character, as mother nature. She is the most powerful being on earth. Not even the most powerful magic comes without consequences, though.

Do not let the first chapter or two stop you from reading the book. They are a foundation for the story, but if you get confused by them, skip ahead. You can always turn back pages if you find it necessary. I found the references to spirit and magic wonderful in this story. while this story starts out confusing, it soon draws the reader in and holds onto to you. I found this book very hard to put down, and found myself reading much more than intended each time I picked it up again.

I could easily recommend this book to those who enjoy true fantasy and mystery. As the story unfolds, the reader is drawn deeper into it, until thoroughly immersed. Not every reader will like this book, those who do will be drawn into the author's story and await the next chapter of this series. I, myself, will anxiously await the next book.

I'm a huge fan of MCD's Dowers Series and After the Virus: A love story. This was a great stand alone novel. It snared me from the first page and I couldn't put it down! I love the strong, flawed female characters in her stories. Realistic emotions and reactions in fantastical worlds.

From the beginning, you are given almost no info or structure for this fantasy world. I'm sure its because the lead character was confused and so was I as the reader. I truly didn't knw what was going on until about 3/4 through. A little preface would have given me a place to start.

Reading an average of a book a day keeps me on the hunt for new authors. I have found a new favorite with Meghan Ciana Doidge and immediately bought all released books available. Spirit Binder is a good read and introduction to a new world I enjoyed entering. It did not grab and entertain me quite as much as the Dowser series however.

Fantasy of a future feudal society after a great cataclysm ended the modern world as we know it bringing magic into the world......Think Ilona Andrews' "Kate Daniels series" meets Game of Thrones. Series has huge potential of additional world building and character development that will undoubtedly be full of political machinations. Book ended a little happily ever after so hope there is a second in the pipeline!

really good characters, people you come to care about and cry about.
this is a stand alone book, one of her first. if you like this kind of stuff
    read her Dowser series.
