Caroline isn’t all monster, but, as a child of our resident wolfman and his mate, she’s not all human either. As much as I want to give into the pull to her, I’ve spent far too long existing within the shadows. She deserves more, but that won’t stop me from watching her.

Finding my place in Screaming Woods hasn’t been easy for me. I’m not a monster, but I’m not a human like my mom. I’m something in between. I don’t know where I belong in the only home I’ve ever known.

After I turn 18, it feels like there’s something pulling me into the darkest parts of the forest where only shadows live. I ignore it as best I can, but I can feel someone’s eyes on me, waiting for me, calling to me. Something is missing and I have no idea what it is.

When I go in search of what is stalking me, I find light in the darkness. My parents are mates, but I never thought I’d find mine.     This book was 🔥🔥🔥! I love love love a intriguing and sexy PNR story. And Ember Davis definitely delivered with Dell and Caroline's story.

    Caroline had always felt like and outsider. And Dell kept to the shadows because he thought Screaming Woods didn' forgot about him. Little did they both know that each of them were destined to be Fated Mates.

    Dell and Caroline's HEA had some heavy bumps and curves. But their journey was so well worth the read! I love that authors are delving into unknown areas in the PNR world. Ember Davis's book has really opened my eyes to this type of heroes. I highly recommend this book too any PNR fans who love diversity and are open too different kinds of beasts that seek love and happiness. I can't wait to check out the next book.

    I love that we get more of Jace and Dakota from season one and this newest addition for session two gives us their daughter Caroline’s story. She’s been feeling unsettled and it just grows more when she turns 18. Dell hasn’t had a great upbringing and it gets worst when he was one of the people who drinks from the infamous punch. His life is turn upside down and he has learned to live in the darkness until Caroline enters his sanctuary. What happens next was a fated mate story that will have you cheering for this forever.     Dell is a monster, a shadow monster who has lived in the shadows since he was turned. Caroline is the daughter of the wolfman and a human. Not a wolf or human but a mixture of both. She loves the woods at night, she loves the shadows and when she turns 18 she thinks she has finally found her mate in Dell. But Dell doesn't think he is good enough for Caroline, he has nothing to offer since he has lived in the shadows for so long. Can the shadows teach these two that they were made for each other. I loved this story. So well written, a great storyline, hot and steamy. I love the characters from the Screaming Woods but I really loved Dell and Caroline's story.     I'm trying to think of what I want to write about this story, but my thoughts are jumbled about it.

    Caroline seems to be a lovely person. She comes from a great & loving family. So it seems odd to me that this beautiful, intelligent human/monster hybrid 18 year old is lonely & doesn't fit in with her peers or have friends. I feel the author wrote her this way to explain how Dell is her mate & they share a mate bond & how they understand each other because of their loneliness & not fitting in.

    Dell is an angry, rage filled 56 year old "Shadow" monster who was turned after drinking the Halloween frankenpunch. He was 18 at the time & instead of stepping out to the other newly turned monsters in Screaming Woods, he chose to think they abandoned him, like he feels everyone has his whole life. Dell has made some astronomically bad choices. Yes, it stems from his fear of abandonment, but he could have done things very differently.

    The only part of this book that I truly enjoyed was getting to visit Jace & Dakota again. They are Caroline's parents.

    One of the things I absolutely love about the Monster Between the Sheets series is that we are getting a wide variety of monsters/paranormal beings that we don't typically get to see in romance books, even if these are accidental paranormal beings in this series.
    If you read the first round of books that were released in this series, you should remember Jace and Dakota. Caroline is Jace and Dakota's first born daughter.
    I absolutely loved both Caroline and Dell.
    Both have felt like outsiders, in their own way, living in Screaming Woods. But whereas Caroline had her family to keep her grounded and surrounded by love, Dell was left alone with nothing but his resentment and anger to fester for 20+ years.
    The way Caroline goes about showing Dell that he wasn't forgotten like he was so sure he was was so amazing. I'm glad that Dell also came to realize that he also played a part in his being 'forgotten' after the chaos of that Halloween night.

    Dell is a shadow and lives within the shadows in the forest of Screaming Woods. Caroline is comes from a human mother and a Wolfman. She cannot shift like her brother and sister but she does have some of the traits of a wolf. Neither feel like they belong until they meet eachother when Caroline turns 18. Dell pushes her away and she is willing to fight for him but how far is she willing to fight?
