    SERENITY'S STANDALONES- 3 books are all standalone reads with a happy ever after. They are sexy in case that is an issue for you. Set in New Zealand these stories are all individual reads. All great reads and I highly recommend all of them.

    KISS AND MAKE UP - This is a fun read. Set in New Zealand Tabby and Eli are both working on a movie set. Tabby is the make-up artist and Eli is a stuntman. He is fun and a bit crazy. They are having an affair but she plans to go to London to advance her career and Eli plans to go to L.A. to hopefully hit the big time with Hollywood movies. I really enjoyed this entertaining read. 5 stars.

    ONE HOT WINTER'S NIGHT - Catherine (Cat) works in a museum in London. She is always on the hunt for valuable pieces to put in the museum. Heath (the Silver Fox because he is cunning and has silver hair -- not grey, Silver)works in a museum in New Zealand. They are always one step behind the other as they both go after the same treasurers for their museums. This story travels all around the world but it ends in New Zealand. A good read. 5 stars.

    SET ME FREE - I loved this hero. Garth was a prisoner of war, held in a cage until he escaped and made his way home. Now he needs to be in open spaces. He owns a sky diving school and acts as an instructor. Chloe walked in on her ex with another woman. Of course, he blames her for being boring, he leaves town and takes her savings with him. To prove she is not boring she decides to go sky diving. This is how she meets Garth. She is scared out of her mind and about to back out when he does something that totally takes her mind off the jump she is about to make. You will love him. A great read. 5 stars.

    Kiss & Make Up 5* - Film Set Romance. Tabby is a makeup artist from New York brought in part way through a movie to replace someone who was involved in an accident. On set she meets and falls for stuntman Eli. Both know that any romance can only be temporary as their careers will be on different continents in a few weeks time but that doesn’t stop them falling hard for each other. A heartwarming romance with a HEA.

    One Hot Winter's Night 5* - Cat and Mouse Game of Love. A young woman dedicated to her career and determined not to have a relationship, is sideswiped upon meeting her nemesis in person. On his side it is practically love at first sight but he quickly realises that he must play it cool if he wishes to see Cat again.

    Set Me Free 5* - A New Beginning. A woman who stifles herself so that she doesn’t turn into her mother and a man filled with the need to revenge the loss of his old life, find happiness together.

    I usually really like Serenity Woods books but I struggle with the first volume of stand alone. Stories of broken people, more sex than story. I plowed through the first to get to the second. I liked the second the best. But had to leave a review at the third. There is too much brokenness...the heroine refusing to acknowledge her feelings of love so quickly due to her bi-polar mom and a hero who has unresolved issues from being cheated on by first wife and incarceration in Afganistan. But, the kicker is when he proposes immediately and then shows a lot of damaging anger but the heroine knows she can help save him....these are red flags and in the real world, you should run.
