    I didn’t remember the authors style when I picked up this title on kindle, unlimited. But I remember now, and I remember how much I liked her writing.

    This is actually an intricate plot, a really good story and great character interaction, as well as all of them that touches that make this world so intriguing. Especially the kids. But more, of course, Davian, and Kara. Nice to have an actual developing romance to read instead of a look, a grope, a minute in bed in chapter 1, with the suspense killed for the rest of the story. These guys are great together, and I really love Davian’s ethics. Of course. You have to - he is the Hero. I just enjoyed everything about this book and I’m looking forward to the next one.. unfortunately the link to leave a review within the kindle title itself is broken, so I’m not sure where else this review will post. Hope at least it makes it somehow too good reads as well.

The author kept the story moving with lots of danger and action while keeping the characters real and easy to connect with. These two had to fight an uphill battle, but they made it to their HEA with more room for adventure in the future. I am really looking forward to the next book to see what happened to the rest of the pack and how these two far in their brand new world. You won't want to miss this fantastic beach read.

    This is the first of the Breed series I have read but I want to read the other books in the series too. Davien who was created in a space lab that was attached and he and his " brothers " were sent off in pods to hopefully save them. He crashed on a mining planet where he takes a job as a enforcer for the ruling boss. Then he meets Kara a young female thief who makes him want things he never has before. As they try to help the kids, get their selves out of trouble, and find a way to get the money to get off the planet to hopefully find his brothers. This is an exciting and very enjoyable story making you want to read about the brothers and their own women. Will they all ever get back together? Will they discover what happen to the ship Daedalus that they had been on?

But as she deals with Davien, and we get to know her through his eyes, not only do we discover the more complex and multifaceted character that she is, we catch glimpses of who she might have been had she been born in another place, had her parents lived different lives, had her childhood been different.

    Clearly the first story in a series, this done in one quick read stood well on its own, had a lot of interesting world building, and created a sense of curiosity about other characters and events without making this story feel incomplete, but rather part of a larger universe.

    There's an overarching storyline that runs through all the books. Thats the main reason this only got 4 stars.

A fabulous read with two likeable characters and a little girl Mavi who nearly steals the show!!

    This is a standalone sci-fi romance novel with a HEA that forms part of a series with an overlapping story arc. Not sure if the characters from this book will reappear in others or not. Adventure with a couple of surprising twists is also a big part of this story.
    The world is well imagined, the heroine is genuinely kick-ass and the hero has a softer side so all good so far. Why not five stars? I'd have liked a bit more description to really bring it to life for me, I couldn't quite 'see' the characters in my imagination.
