    “Is my heart a masochist?”
    This book drips hurt and anguish, along with being deliciously powerful and potent with varying emotions.
    This poetry book features 60 poems written by Rose that are thought provoking and emotional. It is rare for me to find a poetry book in which more poems hit for me and a book where it was hard to pick a favorite. Even the poems that I didn’t necessarily resonate with still stuck with me.

    Many of the poems gave me the kind of darkness and hurt that I would feel when reading Poe. A lot of these poems deal with a common theme of love and hurt along with this feeling and need to be accepted.
    “No greater fear exists in me to be an unfinished painting.”

    My favorites were ANXIETY, A writers struggle, Death I am, mirrored age, Alone, Addicted to you, and Death before life.
    I definitely look forward to more work by Rose!

    E. J. Rose has written a beautiful collection of poems of life. I especially identified with Stray Cat since my cat is a rescue. I found these poems highly emotional and heart touching.

    Being a fan of E.J.Rose's blog, I had to check out this book and I'm so glad I did. Best poetry book I've read and it taps into so many emotions along the way. Will be enjoying this in bed with a cuppa for the second read. Hope this author gets noticed soon.
