    I enjoy these angsty books once in a while, and cheating + grovel can be extremely satisfying angst if done right.
    The problem with this book is that the MMC was just a disgusting human being. Cheating on his wife the entire ten years of their marriage with the club girls to the point that he misses her birthday while cheating with another woman.

    FMC finally has enough and leaves him and he spends the entire first half of the book feeling sorry for himself because his wife is selfishly (🙄) wanting him to stop and being mad that she wants him to “give up his freedom.” And the entire time he’s STILL sleeping with other women and thinking there’s “just something” about this one particular club girl he doesn’t want to give up.

    At this point I gave up on the book. For me there’s no redemption for a character this unbelievably selfish and thoughtless and I wanted the FMC to get far away from him. The writing was good but otherwise a definite miss for me.

    Well this story was certainly different. I personally did not enjoy it and have decided not to read the others in the series. It almost seems like a Stockholm situation not a love story. I’m sorry but no one should put up with abuse for 10 years just to leave for a week and suddenly forgive every thing.

    Kia was way to forgiving toward a creep that did not deserve her. Her choice is her business but she did not make him work for it even a little bit. It's sad. I could never be ok with being disrespected and betrayed the way Kia is throughout this entire book and there is no way I'd ever trust that cheating, disease carrying pig of a husband again let alone bear his children. Seriously, for 10 years she rated as less important to him than a constant string of trashy easy women. I watched my mother go though that and swore I would never allow myself to be on treated that way. I would walk and never look back. I'm the first to admit that I hold grudges. If I were Kia that pitiful excuse of a husband would have been dead to me the first time he touched another woman and he certainly never would have touched me again. Once a cheater, always a cheater.

    Kia has been ignored by her husband Handles. He's a member of Nasty Bastards and is their lawyer. 10 years ago he saved Kia and they married. Now he hardly ever comes home. She decides she's going to celebrate her birthday alone. She leaves the state. The guys in the MC are settled down now but Handles still thinks he can do any club girl. I wanted to scream at him. Kia decides to leave him. Everyone is on his case. This book had me on the edge of my seat throughout. I was on Kias side the whole time. You have to read this book. I don't like cheaters but this book is very well written. Hayley I would love to give it 10 stars.

    So this book is pretty explicit in the other woman/man drama, with several instances of on-page cheating. There’s plenty of introspection from Handles about the situation…he just doesn’t a) want to change and b) doesn’t see why he should have to. He has serious impulse control issues, which is odd for a lawyer. Kia is not much better, to be fair…she did try to run and did try to hold out on Handles, but seemed to forgive way too quickly for my liking.

    I read this as a standalone. It worked fine but is clearly building a larger story.
