Dear Art,
I’m sure you get messages like this all the time, but I feel like I don’t even know who I am anymore. I suppose I should start from the beginning… Three weeks ago, I saw puppy play for the first time, and now I can’t stop thinking about it. Wait, no, that’s not really the beginning… Ten years ago, my best friend who I’d been in love with my entire life told me he loved me too.
For ten years, I’ve been living in complete bliss with Lars, the man of my dreams. Don’t get me wrong, we have our fights and disagreements (mostly because I do irritating shit, and every once in a while, he reaches the end of his patience), but he is my other half in every way. I didn’t know I could love someone the way I love him.
Then, the puppy thing happened. It’s not so different from when I realized I was gay; there was a moment where everything sort of clicked into place, and my whole body was like “Yes, that’s what we’ve been trying to figure out all this time.” At first, I thought maybe I should just let it go because it’s not the kind of thing I can imagine my partner being into. But last week I went into a kink shop and ended up walking out with a puppy hood. I stashed it in our guest bedroom closet and haven’t even had the courage to take it out and try it on again, let alone show it to Lars. I don’t know what to do. How do I bring this up to him? And what if he isn’t into it? I feel like I don’t recognize myself anymore, and I don’t know where to turn. Please help.

    I had this on my radar for a long time. I finally bit the bullet and started it and I'm so glad I did. While established couples aren't always something I gravitate towards, I loved that Lars and Jonah were about to discover and navigate something very new. This is my first puppy play book and I really loved it. I loved Jonah and Lars's relationship and was a little upset that Jonah wasn't upfront with Lars at first but really appreciated how they worked through the evolution of their relationship together. I enjoyed seeing Jonah find himself through puppy play and how Lars was determined to be the best master he could be. I will say that I was very intrigued by Adrian. So much so that I stopped reading just so I could make sure that Heel was his book. I'll be reading that one very soon!

    While this is not my usual kink, this book is absolutely adorable, full of feelings and really hot.
    Lars and Jonah has known each other since before they were born ( their mothers were friends and pregnant together), they were best friends and then lovers.
    Now 10 years into the relationship they are still crazy in love and hot for each other. Then one day Jonah happen to see puppy play and immediately recognise that this is his kink.

    I love pup Lucky and Lars is just the perfect boyfriend and Master for Jonah. There's so much emotions and I find the pups absolutely adorable.
    I just have to find out more about Adrian/Diva and see him happy.

    After reading about Adrian it was natural I had to go back to the beginning, meeting Jonah and Lars.
    It's not often you get stories about established couples, usually it's budding relationships or things that haven't started yet.

    Jonah's struggles with his own desires and the effect that might have on his life feels real, the story doesn't go too fast, it shows the strain on the relationship as they both find ways to deal with the change until things are revealed.

    Even before Jonah found his kink, his behaviour is very much like a puppy, bouncy, happy, excited. It was just missing a hood and a tail. And I loved how easily he took to it when he finally became comfortable.

    Lars is such a caring Master, in life and in play, taking care of his partner and puppy so lovely and hardly batting an eye as his boyfriend reveals his new kink.
    As Sam says, it's relationship goals.

    This is my first foray into puppy play, and while I can't really say it the kink for me, I really feel this was a good introduction to puppy play. After reading this book I feel like I understand a lot more about puppy play than I did before and I feel like it makes a bit more sense to me now.

    This book, for all it is about puppy play, is really about a strong couple learning that people grow and change as time passes but in the end love can conquer all which really made it a sweet story.

    Overall, this isn't a kink I really enjoy reading about but feel like it was a well written story that was a good introduction to puppy play that even the nonkink reader could tolerate reading.

    It was a really great story that I was skeptical about. The puppy play aspect was not a thing that was of interest, but I would love to read as many kinks as I can so I decided to give it a try. I figure I love all the books of K.M. Neuhold why not this one, and boy I was not disappointed. The character and the story make the story so good. I love the energy and the struggles that people can relate to event if it not specifically this one I love it.

    Stay is a different topic from what K.M. Neuhold has written before. But I can say with 100% certainty that her foray into puppy play is a winner.

    Jonah and Lars have been together as a couple for 10 years but have known each other all their lives. One small incident exposes Jonah to puppy play and his life changes. And it seems like Lars isn’t attracted to puppy play. Can Lars give Jonah what he is now craving? Or is this going to be the one thing that changes their relationship and life forever?

    What I normally like about books is that the unbelievable can happen...even if it’s something that would never happen in real life. Reading suspends reality for me and takes me to a place where anything is possible. Stay is the opposite of this. Lars and Jonas’ story is so believable and this is one big reason it was such a fantastic read. I can picture this exact scenario happening for real where one member of a relationship discovers a kink that they never knew existed and it becomes something they need. The fear of telling the other member comes across palpably in K.M. Neuhold’s writing as though it was really happening. Within a few pages I was invested in Lars and Jonah and their story and many of the words that K.M. Neuhold wrote brought tears to my eyes (“One Lost Puppy” being one such phrase).

    K.M. Neuhold has taken a chance in writing something so different from her norm that I hope her readers who haven’t read puppy play take that same chance and read the fantastic story she has given us and that they become as emotionally invested in the lives of these two men as I did while reading Stay. Both main characters are endearing and loveable, and there are plenty of side characters whose stories I am now dying to read, so I can only hope this amazing and talented author gets the chance to write their stories because her readers give this first in the series a chance and love it as much as I do.

    In conclusion: a different read from a great author who has created characters that had me becoming invested in their lives. If you take the chance on Stay you won’t be disappointed.

    I almost didn't get this book because I read a review that was quite negative bit when I noticed all the other good reviews along with my live of this authors other series I thought I'd give it a go and I'm so glad. I loved the main character they were so sweet and in love it was so beautiful to read. The story really took a turn when Jonah's secret was revealed and it made me love Lars even more. I am fairly new to puppy play books only having read a few before but this one is my fave by far .
