Stolen Omega: The Desert Wolves Kindle Edition

4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars 233 ratings

Omega Zan has been sheltered and protected his entire life, kept safely hidden from the wild bandits who roam the desert wastes. But deep inside, he yearns for freedom and adventure—a wish that's about to come true in a way he never imagined.

Kyrt Ripfang, the notorious alpha leader of the feared Red Moons, strikes terror into the hearts of even the strongest alphas—and that's exactly how he likes it. Behind his fearsome reputation lies a secret truth few will ever know. When Kyrt and his men raid Zan's pack encampment, he captures more than supplies: a stubborn, fiery omega who refuses to submit.

Held captive at Kyrt's hidden desert stronghold, Zan finds himself drawn to the enigmatic alpha despite his hatred for his captor. As days turn to weeks, an ancient and powerful bond begins to form between them—the sacred hunter's bond that only the strongest pairs can share. Zan may resent his kidnapper, but he can't deny the primal omega heat growing inside him: the overwhelming urge to bear this alpha's child.

But when danger threatens both their worlds, Zan and Kyrt must choose between the safety of the familiar and a perilous journey toward something more—a future neither of them thought possible. Will Zan and Kyrt brave the vast, unforgiving desert to find a better life for their unborn child? Or will the dangers of their world—and their own pasts—tear them apart forever?

Book was just ok some parts I wished were longer and some parts I wish was shorter. You meet omega Zan who’s whole life wanted something more than to be protected all the time and he loves stories about the red moon bandits. Kyrt is the leader of the red moon bandit but he only raids for what they needs never killing or taking more than what they needed. I felt like there was so much going on that if the author wanted he could’ve wrote like minimum 3 books with

Kyrt and Zan the first being how they met fell in love and defended Zans village against the red moon.

Second book could’ve been when Kyrt and Zan met with Kaga and Wivaya and shows them the mating process.

Final book be Kyrt and Zan getting to the forest where they settle down and after awhile Zan goes back to get his mom and the rest of the village.

Overall I liked it was kinda interesting, some parts I could’ve done without like showing kaga and wivaya how the mating was done I found it awkward to read.

This was a pretty good book. I enjoyed the characters but Xan came across as being immature and a dreamer. Kyrt was a good Alpha and was just trying to survive in a harsh environment the best he could, but I don't know why they decide to cross a desert while Xan was expecting . Neither of them knew if the place was even real, and neither knew how to deliver their baby. It was an okay entertaining read.

WOW!!! I entered a world in the desert. This is MAGNIFICENTLY written. I was immersed in this Book. If you like to feel like you're walking in the shoes of the characters, this is the Book for you. Zan is the Omega who feels trapped. Kyrt is the marauding Alpha desert thief. These two are electrifying together. This is a Fantastic adventure from beginning to end. ASHE MOON let me feel the wind, see the landscape, smell the forest. My favorite kind of escape. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to love this book. It had all the right ingredients: an aloof, scarred alpha, a plucky omega, overcoming danger and adversity, and of course, a happily-ever-after.

However, while many books of this genre spend too much time on the back-stories of the characters, Stolen Omega spent too little time building its fantasy-esque, vaguely dystopian world or showing how the main characters fit into it.

We learn, for example, that omegas are prized and valued, but aside from having a guard and being somewhat isolated, it's unclear what Zan's future would normally hold. Zan yearns for adventure, it seems, but there's no concrete sense of what he wants to avoid. A forced mating? Forced pregnancies? An alpha not of his choosing? An escape from the hierarchical structure of his pack?

Likewise, we know virtually nothing about Kyrt. How did he become associated with the outlaw pack? What makes him different from the other outlaw wolves with whom he has banded together? How has he held onto his power as the de facto alpha in the face of less-honorable wolves?

In short, the chemistry between Zan and Kyrt was wonderful, but it seemed to rely on the fact that a reader would be fan of this genre and would simply apply the general alpha/omega trope. That makes for a decent quick read, but it doesn't inspire the kind of multi-dimensional characters that would keep me eager for the next installment in a series.

3.0 out of 5 stars Needed to be longer
Reviewed in Australia on February 17, 2023
I like this author's writing but found this book needed to be longer to add more depth. There were quite a few plot threads happening, but due to the short length, the story seemed to jump around without really delving deep enough to be truly satisfying. Still a fun read if you're after something light, but not as good as this author's Dragon Firefighters series.
