Stolen by the Sinner (Underworld Sinners Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 272 ratings

Some lost things are meant to stay hidden. Some stolen things never fight to be returned.

Holland Wanger has spent her life under the glare of flashing cameras—the daughter of Hollywood royalty, a pretty pawn in a world where nothing is real. Her life is predictable, suffocating, and safe until one instance shatters everything.

Danill Belsky is a man who takes what he wants. When he’s offered a job with a price too tempting to refuse, he doesn’t hesitate. The target? A mysterious beauty with cascading blonde hair and piercing blue eyes—a living temptation he simply cannot ignore.

In a dark club, he meets her under the guise of fate, and something shifts. She isn’t just another job. She’s a challenge. A temptation. A prize he suddenly doesn’t want to let walk away.

She should run. She should fight. Instead, she looks at him like she’s waiting to be claimed.

Because maybe she’s been searching for ruin all along.

After all, can you really steal something that’s already yours?

Born and raised in the Central Valley in California. My husband and I moved to Oregon while he was in the US Coast Guard and then to Texas for ten years before recently relocating to North Carolina. We spend our time with our two sons at all their events, screaming from the stands as they swim their hearts out!

I absolutely loved this book. Another hit!
Hayley Faiman crafts intricate bratva. It must be her jam.
I loved the story. It is a book you can certainly finish in short order. I found myself reading slower and slower to absorb all of the hot dialogue. Amazing dialogue folks.
Our guy was off the charts alpha. Our gal just needed someone who really wanted her. Just for her and not because of her family.
There was a bit of mystery with her friends. Our guy's friends were bratva and yet they seemed to care the most...or did they. I loved the secondary characters presented.
From start to finish I loved this book. Great job yet again Hayley!

I always enjoy Hayley's Russians and was excited to be back with them. While some parts were expected (but not in a bad way) definitely went in directions that I didn't expect. Can't wait for the next one

This book has everything you enjoy reading in a mafia story. Danill is a hit man, Torpedo, for the Mafia. His hit is someone who is famous and owes a great deal of money to the Mafia.

Danill is told for handling this he can have the daughter of the man who he is asked to kill. Holland is a beautiful woman, a party girl whose been on her own since the age of 15.

Danill plans on keeping her after he kills her father. This story is the beginning of a new great series from Hayley. I'm so excited. This book is a fast moving, alpha man, hot sex and great read.

I didn't realize I needed this book until I actually started reading it. I didn't have a book hang over, but nothing was holding my attention. I tried to start new books, but that didn't work. I tried to reread my favorites, but they didn't hold my attention. Literally, nothing was working. When I first started this book, I had a bad feeling it was going to be the same. However, it was like my brain just clicked and shifted into reading mode. I could then get lost in the story.

Anytime I see Hayley's name, I am hoping the story is going to have crazy shenanigans. I want the hero to make horrible mistakes. I want him to fall flat on his face, but figure out where he went wrong, and try again. In turn, I want the heroine to make him work for her forgiveness. That's not this story, but it's pretty close.

Quick warning: If you don't like cavemen, this book isn't for you. Not a literal caveman, but someone who likes things done their way with no rhyme or reason why. I was all for it, but I know it's not everyone's cup of tea. Danill is a Bratva Torpedo. A mercenary for the right price, he takes a contract that's high risk but high reward. The question is: Can you really steal someone that wants you to take them?

The only thing that I felt was off about this book was that I can't figure out who might be next. There's several secondary characters that are introduced, but their stories are only in relation to the main characters. There's no side plots that are introduced. It's not a bad thing, but I thought it was unusual. I am curious, but I really feel like this could have been a standalone instead of building a whole a new world.

I am a fan of the author and the blurb sounded interesting. At first it’s a Mafia story and then romance. Once the lead female character named Holland appeared things started to get more interesting. She is her own person and is a bit famous. Both parents are attention and money hungry more than parents. Danill, the lead male, is the Russian Torpedo that becomes obsessed with his prize. Luckily his friends help pull him back from the oblivion of an unhealthy obsession. Read On!

For me this was a thrilling, exciting, Russian Mafia read. The author gave us an intriguing storyline that was just what this reader needed and I loved the characters. Danill is a Russian Torpedo meaning he’s a paid assassin. He’s one of the best and gets paid well for his services. But when he’s hired to kill a public figure, a man that will be missed if he suddenly disappears, Danill wants more than just money. So when he’s made an offer he can’t refuse, the mark’s daughter, Danill sets out to do what he does best because he wants the girl for his own. But will the blonde knockout, Holland, become his when she finds out what he does for a living and what he's done to her father? As for Holland, she’s never been around a domineering man like Danill, all she’s known is the boring spoiled life with her father. So how does she get this charismatic man to make her his for keeps?

Their connection is wild but oh what I ride. I highly recommend Stolen by the Sinner and this reader can’t wait for book 2 in the Russian Torpedo Series.

This is the first in a new series and is Danill and Holland’s story. Danill is an intense and tough alpha from the Russian Bratva, while Holland is the daughter of a famous actor, who is living with her life being scrutinized by the paparazzi. Danill has a mission, and when he meets Holland in a club, there is an instant connection between them. This is a well written fast paced story, with undeniable chemistry, and engaging and relatable characters, which leads to a sweet, entertaining, and steamy addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Different from other Bratva books because the torpedos have always seemed somewhat removed. I quite enjoyed how different this was to the other Bratva books.

I also 100% want a short story of the secretary and Fyodor.

This was a bit of a miss for me.
Holland is a celebrity based solely on her father's career, she doesn't work, doesn't seem to do much of anything.
Danill is a Bratva Hitman and is offered Holland as part of the payment. He really doesn't have to take her she goes willingly. Towards the end there is a misunderstanding which feels forced, like the author had to find more tension... she didn't.
Whilst I tried to like these 2 as a couple they really didn't come off as that believable.

L'inizio di questa nuova serie mi è piaciuto, forse perché ho ritrovato la Faiman che conoscevo e che mi mancava.
Le fondamenta per costruire una buona serie sono state gettate, aspetto con ansia le prossime uscite.
