Stretched Across Time: Braided Dimensions Book 2 (2) Paperback – October 22, 2019

5.0 out of 5 stars 3 ratings

Kay has been drawn into a vortex of intrigue in the ancient world, of magic-wielding Wanderers, mesmerizing sylphs, powerful Nordic shamans, crafty mages. And now she cannot deny that her children are involved. Her son is channeling stories of abductions by threatening pirates. Her daughter’s mysterious lover sounds uncannily like a tenth-century Welsh musician. She tries to pull away from the medieval world but finds herself increasingly enamored with her spirit-travel. Is she the only one who can rescue her friends, who can tread in ancient caverns undetected to mind-meld with marauding ancient Jutlanders? If she takes the next journey to the past, will she ever see her children again?

In this novel of fantasy, we travel once again with Kay as she moves in between two worlds. One firmly set in the present and one that harkens back to a mystical, magical, dangerous and tormented medieval period.
In today’s world, our protagonist receives a story from her son that has her fleeing into the past. Frantic to pass on information Kay is soon embroiled in escapades to help her tortured captive friend Boldo find freedom.
In the world of witches and charms, she is gaining both knowledge and strength. Although reluctant and often perplexed about her powers she is repeatedly positioned at the arrows point of intrigue, mystery, and magic.
Her love interest with Baird continues. The shadow of evil is always close. And in the background, the reader wonders if the past isn’t starting to encroach on the present. And what is it that’s so important about the golden crystal? As for tales from ancient Wales, you’ll not find better.
