- Reviewed in the United States on January 27, 2017In the first book of this series, we meet most of the main characters. A rogue admiral is leading a team that is attacking their own bases, wiping out the staff and stealing the alien artifact stored. But they didn't plan on a small team to place an spanner in the works.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 30, 2016Wowowow! I just love this book! Its really great sci-fi and perfect for the casual reader as well! Its also technically accurate and has believable (and realistic) characters. AAA+++ on this book! I am REALLY looking forward to more in this series!!!

- Reviewed in the United States on September 12, 2016I'll say this again. If Richard Tongue is writing it, I'm reading it. I have almost all of his work. If I don't, I most likely will. You would think in space military it would be repetitive but, there's always something fresh about his work.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2017Had a fun time reading Strike Commander as you really get to know the characters. It did get confusing at times, but for the most part the story flowed well. Was repeatedly excited to see what was about to happen on the next page so it was hard to put it down.

5.0 out of 5 stars The start of a good series.
Another good story line from this author, making "Starfighter" a very good read. The characters are slowly being "fleshed out", with more being revealed as the story evolves in future episodes.
I enjoyed this book and look forward to the next release in this "Strike Commander" series.

3.0 out of 5 stars John Wayne in space.
This is your basic s***kicker in space. Mostly based on Wild West ideology it follows a simple story with the lone man ploughing his furrow while the forces of the establishment cause him grief. I am always amused by Yanks opinion of the United Nations as a crowd of devil-worshippers as if cooperation is the equivalent of communism. Bit of neo-con attitudes thrown in to the mix will make it appeal to "mericans.
