    In the first book of this series, we meet most of the main characters. A rogue admiral is leading a team that is attacking their own bases, wiping out the staff and stealing the alien artifact stored. But they didn't plan on a small team to place an spanner in the works.

    Had a fun time reading Strike Commander as you really get to know the characters. It did get confusing at times, but for the most part the story flowed well. Was repeatedly excited to see what was about to happen on the next page so it was hard to put it down.

I am always amused by Yanks opinion of the United Nations as a crowd of devil-worshippers as if cooperation is the equivalent of communism. Bit of neo-con attitudes thrown in to the mix will make it appeal to "mericans.
