Deano needs to get his head straight, or at least that’s what the Bennetts kept saying. The problem was that ever since ‘Jeffrey’s botched surgery’ on his brain, he’d become a different man.

Deadly episodes of extreme rage, agonising migraines, and a paranoid belief that Jeffrey got away with ruining his life, were all just part of the new Deano package.

Sent back out on a job for the Bennetts, things turned deadly and worse still, there was a witness to his violent crime.

Evie was in the wrong place at the wrong time, on her way to the pole dancing club where she worked. What she saw terrified her, especially when that monster came after her, but then everything changed.

The monster was a wounded man, a man who needed to be saved, protected, loved. Her attraction to him, her need for him, they were as dangerous as the man himself, because once she was dragged into his crazed need for revenge, there was no going back.

Can Jeffrey and Spencer survive Deano’s attempts at revenge, and can he get Evie back out alive, when the Bennetts get dragged into things?

Is Deano ever going to be the man he used to be again, or will he become the new big threat to the Bennett empire? How many chances will they give him, before he becomes a liability they’re better off without? Will Deano even want to go on, if he can’t be fixed?

This is a dark romance story, featuring content which may not suit all readers, or may be triggering. It is a standalone book, with HEA, and the characters will appear again in a future book, but will not be the focus of that book.

    In the latest offering for the Bennett Crime World series, we get up close and personal with Deano finally and it's a roller coaster of a ride after that. From action to steamy scenes to dramatic moments, the author Mia, weaves it all together in a way that holds her readers spellbound until the end and has us coming back for more and more.

    From Deano's dominant but inwardly sweet aspects to Evie's surprising stalwartness in the face of dangerous men, the complexities were wonderful to read. The Bennett brothers themselves are always great to enjoy again and again, acting their usual selves but this unusual and lethal group is a family in all it's unlikely splendor.

    The book is a definite read for fans of mafia, crime, or dark romance. Do mind the trigger warnings but otherwise, enjoy the ride and check out the full series!

    I’ve been looking forward to Deano’s story for ages and as always Mia Fury certainly delivered!! Everything this woman writes is pure gold and this beautiful and addictive read is no exception.

    The Bennett Crime World Series is one of the best dark romances I’ve read, each and every book just pulls you right in and takes you on one heck of a memorable rollercoaster ride. Don’t get me wrong these guys are twisted but boy are they swoonworthy.

    Deano has had my heart from the beginning. My heart aches for this beautiful man. He’s like a wounded animal, striking out blindly as his pain consumes him.

    I wanted to reach through the pages of this book and hold him tightly in my arms, I was willing to do anything to help relieve the pain in his head - literally anything!! 😜😜

    He’s a beautiful character. Outwardly an alpha, dominant and without question lethal. But inside he’s a sweetheart, well I think so. He tries to be everything Evie needs. He’s well aware that he screws up and acts before thinking but his heart is in the right place and knowing that Evie completes him, that she is the other half of his soul is so heartwarming.

    Evie is a beautiful character. I love the instant attraction and bond she feels with Deano despite their first meeting.

    The way she instinctively tries her best to protect Deano against Seb and Sammy was as funny as it was beautiful. The fact that this half pint of a woman would act to protect her man against the Bennett’s just screams of her strength and character.

    Whether she agrees with Deano’s impulsive behaviour or not she doesn’t deviate from his side. She’s all in with him and that made me love her all the more.

    This is one heck of a ride. Completely addictive and compelling. I could t put it down. My only wish would be that the Bennett’s Crime World would continue forever!!

    I loved the way this unruly and twisted set of people are a family in the true sense of the world. They are brash and crude, lethal and deadly but they also have each others back. I loved the way they supported Deano and tried to help him, whether he realised it or not.

    Mia Fury has once again knocked it out of the park. She is the epitome of an author with limitless talent.

    I can’t recommend this book or this series highly enough.

    Every single star in the night sky wouldn’t be enough to fully portray just how brilliant this read is.

    This series is one of my favourites and I love every time we get to go back to it and explore it more.
    This time the threat to the Bennett wasn’t an external source but someone a lot closer to home.

    We learnt that Deano was suffering some side effects due to an injury he had received whilst working for the Bennetts.
    Mia did an amazing job writing this and exploring how he felt and how the injury had warped Deano’s perspective on things.

    I love Evie. She was feisty and you quite quickly got to see how devoted she was to someone she cared for.

    Her and Deano had so much heat and chemistry that led to some toe-curling spicy scenes!

    This book kept me hooked all the way through and I needed to know how things were going to end up. I can’t wait to see what happens next in the Bennett world.

    I felt so much forDeano. Although I should have been mad at him, I fell in love with him. He has to be my favourite with the exception of Seb. I can't wait for the final book in this series. Great writing Mia. I love your books.
