    Love diving into a new book and an author I hadn’t read before. Throw in the genre BDSM and I’m all over it. The lifestyle fascination for me is addictive and discovering how different authors approach it is interesting.

    Penny was a great Heroine, she’s new to the lifestyle and is ready to embrace what’s to come. Nervous her first glimpse into it is real. She doesn’t hold back, she’s relatable! When she spots Marcus at her first event the attraction is hot. You could feel the chemistry between our leads.

    Marcus is a Dom and he couldn’t help but notice the nervousness radiating from the newcomer. Perhaps coming on too strongly may have been a mistake but he’s confident she’ll be back.

    It’s well explained and fast moving. That bite of suspense in the story was perfect and kept you on the edge, wanting closure.

    The secondary characters have me wanting their stories. It was easy to read and the steam factor was a given.

    I’ve just downloaded the second book and I want more.

    Penny is curious about a Dom/sub lifestyle. The curvy nurse attends a sort of meet and greet at a park to learn more, and is instantly attracted to Marcus. Marcus is a Dominant in finance, and his attraction to Penny is just as instantaneous. It’s almost over before it can begin, however, as there is someone determined to take him down as a means to an end. So Penny is caught up, in more ways than one, and ends up with far more than she bargained for in every aspect.
    The first book in the Doms of Club Eden series. I’d probably give this a 3.5, but I always round up. Penny and Marcus are interesting characters, and could have been moreso. This book is much heavier on the romance aspect, rather than the BDSM aspect, though there is the occasional kink. And their relationship does come down to the Dom/sub aspect as they grow closer and in love. There are a couple of twists as the book goes along, though I don’t want to spoil anything. That being said, it’s a fairly light read. Some cheese, as happens a lot on romance, so that’s okay. I’m still debating on reading the next book in the series.

    Overall the book was good. I found the characters engaging, the storyline fast and suspenseful, and the chemistry hot. The story was told in dual OOV, and it would have been helpful to label the chapters by who was speaking as it was jarring at times when the change just happened with no warning. In addition, the speed with which the relationship changed and certain occurrences were accepted was a bit unrealistic, but it’s fiction and I can give a little leeway on that for enjoyment’s sake. So overall, a good read - I’ll continue the series.

    This is four and a half stars, just because of a few glitches, minor, where the story didn't feel seamless going from chapter to chapter, but this is some of her earlier writings. , the story itself was great. I can't put my finger on it but
    this had me squirming in my chair as I was reading. Her Dominant in the story spoke to my girly bits in the best of ways. You could feel the dominant radiate out from Markus, not every writer with words can make me feel in the moment with the characters and LK Shaw did. On to her next book in the series.

    I had read this book before and enjoyed it but now the author has done a complete rewrite and added more to the story. We get dual point of views in this book and Ms. Shaw really added a lot more layers and a lot more depth to the characters. Penny is wanting to try things so with her friends suggestion, she attends a local munch. There she meets Marcus. He alpha, he's dominate and he makes her weak in the knees. I love the interaction between these two characters as Marcus does his best to hide his feelings while still very interested in Penny. But Marcus has trouble following him and soon it's too late to keep his attraction to Penny under wraps. Someone is after her but can he keep her safe? There were a few parts where I just wanted to smack Marcus but he is still one of my favorites in this series! I highly recommend this book!!

    My tastes have changed since I started reading. I have found myself drawn to the Mafia romance genre, and if BDSM is involved, even better. Marcus is a very giving DOM who falls hard for Penny. Penny's ex always put her down and she always believed she was not special as a plus sized woman. She felt no man would make her feel exceptional.

    Marcus definitely made her feel like a goddess and much more. This story has amazing steam, intrigue and suspense. Totally delicious.
