    We’ve met these two men, and the other characters in the previous books from this sexy, exciting series.
    Here we have Caleb, 21, who works and lives at the animal shelter, where he has peace and safety. Years ago, Caleb had witnessed the home invasion and brutal murder of his parents and brother.
    The Hedonists MC has some big guys, but Axel had a bald head with tattoos, like the murderer, so, Caleb had been frightened of him. Their problem is that each man is attracted to the other. Axel now has grown his hair to cover the tattoos, and little by little, Caleb is progressing with his therapist. Flashbacks and nightmares are still haunting him, and anxiety attacks occur also.
    Sweet, big biker, Axel doesn’t know the attack details, but has waited for Caleb for years.
    We see their hot sexy times together, firsts for inexperienced Caleb, plus other events that keep us full of anticipation. Club dynamics and interactions come into play.
    Caleb has a few anxiety attacks, and then a big one, which shakes their relationship.
    This series is full of heart and heat.

    I was waiting for Axel and Caleb's book and it didn't disappoint. They are sweet together. The end was a bit predictable but I still enjoyed it. You could read this as a standalone but don't, start with the first book.

    Oh man I am so in love with these two. It was always so hard when I read about Caleb in the previous books and knowing what a hard time he had with all of the guys around. Now that I know what happened it’s even more amazing to see how far he has come and the things he has had to work through. My heart aches to know his story and the fear and pain that he feels, and thinking he is defective or something is truly awful. I am so glad that he found a safe place with Axel even if he is so similar to the man that he fears. Axel has been nothing but patient and kind and so very careful with Caleb that it is amazing to see. He looks all rough and tumble, and when the need arises he is, but that’s not who he wants to be seen as. They both have things that any other time would probably keep them apart, but with patience and a heavy dose of stubbornness, things start looking up. They have a great connection and lots of chemistry to help them along. I live seeing them both open up and connect with one another in so many ways they take beautiful to witness.

    Three years after Isaac takes over the shelter in book 2, Axel is still pining over Caleb, who suffers with PTSD. A new therapist has helped Caleb to get past his reactions to Axel’s size and discovering the cause of Caleb’s troubles is as traumatic as one might expect. Axel bends over backwards to make Caleb feel safe and they begin developing a relationship. That’s the best part of this story but other situations left me with lukewarm reactions. I hate that a 3 star review is considered negative, since it still means I liked the story overall, it was just that parts didn’t suit me.

    I disliked Hung’s character goading Axel into a hookup (before getting with Caleb) as a device to bring in a secondary player. I was distracted by too much added drama interrupting the narrative and focus on the couple. Any series author does introduce people and situations to set up coming books but I didn’t enjoy the presentation here. I did become invested in the hurt/comfort aspect and the progression of Caleb and Axel as boyfriends. The therapy depictions seemed realistic. Read it for Caleb and Axel.

    For this one ever since Caleb was introduced. It did not disappoint. I really liked that the author gave this a realistic time frame, and it wasn't an Insta-love heals all. It made Caleb's trauma feel more real. He needed time to start healing, to learn how to just live. Axel was sweet and patient, and he even realized some truths about himself along the way, about the type of person he wanted to be. This was a good addition to the series.

    I actually like this book better, but for future reference if it's a biker club as a reader I need a little more violence. Brikers are known to be violent, or at least that's the perception. And if it's not then your biker group is know as a joke! And as a reader that's what I want to read about, not being roughed up by a big bad ass biker gang? What? No, I don't want to read about that. But it's a vast improvement from the previous book.

    I randomly came upon this author with this book as even though you can read this book as a stand-alone I really suggest you read the other books before this one because I think axel and Caleb has met in the other books as maybe like background characters. As you also read this book past previous books relationships are given light in some sort of way that kind of spoils it for you if you haven’t read the other books.
    Overall I loved this book and I really hope Caleb can overcome his fear.

    Ich lese die Serie in der richtigen Reihenfolge und habe Axels und Calebs Buch entgegen gefiebert. Und es hat nicht enttäuscht. Am Anfang eine zarte Liebesgeschichte, dann irgendwann stürmisch und sexy, aber immer romantisch. Dazu kommt, dass Calebs Trauma einen gewissen Gruselfaktor mit sich bringt und man die ganze Zeit hofft, dass nichts passiert, was ihn triggert. Ein Buch, das ich an einem Tag durchgelesen habe und das ich nur empfehlen kann.

This was particularly special and written very sensitively. I couldn't put the book down which applies to all the series. Read it. You won't regret any of the words you read. This particular book of the series reveals the question of how long would wait for the one you want? Whenever they are ready to accept you....
