    This Sutton tale centers solely on Penelope Sutton, the middle sister, and Garrick Weir, Lord Lindsey, the heir to a Dukedom. Their introduction is volatile, each harboring strong feelings and misconceptions. Lord Lindsey believing Pen to have seduced Aidan, his younger brother, in hopes of marrying well above her station. She finds him unreasonable, arrogant and an arse when he refuses to believe her when she says she no intention of ever marrying Aidan. However, when neither Pen nor Garrick are able to locate Aidan, the search is on. As the two, spend more time together it becomes evident that they both are inexplicably drawn to each other. But, Garrick is expected to propose to Lady Hester any day, while Pen comes from an East End family of much lower class. The main concern at the moment though is to bring Aidan safely home, unwed.
    Part of a series which may be read as a stand alone, there are three sisters and five brothers. There is a bit of a mystery, some family issues and a romance with some spicy scenes. A quick read that readers who enjoy lightly based historical fiction, romance with some sexual content may well enjoy.

His snobbish brother Lord Lordly cane to the sinners club accusing her of being a fortune hunter and was constantly insulting her. She quickly to throw the insults back at him. She turned down his money to break the betrothal to Aiden. She kept to herself that she turned down Aiden’s proposal. Let him think the worst of me, she thought. She owned him nothing. Her worry about Aiden on the other hand made her have a knot in her stomach. He wasn’t answering any of her letters. So she dressed up as a man and went searching all the places her and Aiden would go. She didn’t expect to run into Lord Lordly at every turn. When he was kissing her at least he wasn’t insulting he.

    Being 1 of my favorite authors, this book fell flat for me.I felt there was too much bickering Between the hero and heroine. The book seem a little too contemporary for historical romance.I like it when the woman is a bit more sweet and kind to the hero. And felt the hero just was lacking in all aspects.
