It was okay.
I really wanted to enjoy this book, but it didn’t cut it for me. This was my first rockstar romance, so I had high hopes because I’ve always heard great things about them. I do love books about love at first sight, if done correctly. This felt slightly superficial. Their story was a little underwhelming. I didn’t hate this book, but I didn’t love it. It was a little fun and had parts that did hurt my heart a little, and a couple plot twists that were completely unexpected. Once I hit 30%, I knew I wasn’t going to be a big fan.
   I found Kat a tad infuriating. She had so many triggers and red flags from past relationships Nico had pretty much every one of these characteristics. I love a walking red flag, but this was a bit contradictory, especially because of how often she complained about them. It felt as if she was desperate to be loved, which I get to an extent, but I want a strong FMC and she did not cut it. She was whiny and ran away from every problem. I didn’t love Nico the way I wanted to. He was protective and some of the other qualities I like in a mc, but he wasn’t anything special. I wasn’t a fan of the fact that he demanded her trust without even attempting to earn it, nor does he give her reasons to trust him. Sometimes they both seemed a tad childish. His reason for his back tattoo made sense, but the relationship between the person it is matching with was weird and threw me for a major loop. I would have also loved his point of view and not just Kat’s. Maybe if I was able to read his pov, I would like him more.
  The spice was nothing special. There was way too much unnecessary drama in this book. Think of every bad thing that can happen to a person or that a person can do and throw it all into one book. Anytime they attempted to have a conversation about anything serious, something would conveniently come up and get in the way. It is normal for books to have that, but this one had it happen way too many times.
   This book had some cute moments and was well written, but the aggression, intimidation, and drama was too much. It was an okay book, but not something I would read again.

    I literally was hooked in the first chapter. I mean it doesn't take much when reading a J.T Geissinger book. But this story was really good. Had some twists I didn't actually expect. I am very excited to read the next book in this series. I am ready to see Chloe and A.J hash out their hate into love. Love me a good enemies to lovers which sounds like that's what the next book is going to be about. Sounds as if to Kat and Nico will be a part of the next book too I hope. I really liked their characters. 5 star read for me again of course! Highly recommend this series so far!

    Well, my subject line makes it sound a bit ridiculous, but I really enjoyed this book. I like J. T. Geissinger's style and this was a hot little read with just the right amount of angst and drama to keep me interested but not tick me off. Some of it was a little too coincidental and over the top, but not enough that it detracted from the story or made it completely unbelievable. Nico is the hotter than hell lead singer of the wildly successful band, Bad Habits. His on-again-off-again model girlfriend, Avery, has finagled her way into being the female lead in the band's latest music video but turns up on set completely trashed. Nico is furious, but this is quickly forgotten when he sets eyes on Kat who is there in her capacity as a make up artist. He's immediately smitten and adamant that Avery is not his girlfriend, actively pursuing Kat. Chuck in a hidden family secret and both main characters having rough childhoods that have led to trust issues and you're in for a great ride. The author didn't pull any punches on Nico and Kat getting into a relationship which I found refreshing. I hate long, dragged out relationship drama where there is a heap of back and forth. There wasn't too much of this and the solid supporting characters kept the story moving along nicely.

    I really liked Nico and Kat. Nico had a fiery temper and wasn't afraid to show it and instead of annoying me, I found this made him a bit more realistic. He played the part of a troubled celebrity well and he was portrayed well as being sexy as sin itself without being an arrogant jerk - the latter I find is cliche and present in a lot of modern romances. The book tended to focus more on his traits rather than the celebrity side of things which I think stopped it from being too ridiculous. Kat was confident and reasonably assertive, having her own issues to deal with and I really enjoyed the growth, albeit quick, in their relationship.

    If you like conventional romance that is error-free, written well and entertaining, you should enjoy this. It is the start of a series, but there in no cliffhanger on this one and a HEA. The next book focuses on another band member. Slight trigger warning - this does touch on childhood abuse, including sexual abuse, but isn't graphic. There's no cheating, good dialogue, a few steamy scenes and at the end of book, I wanted more of the two main characters because I had enjoyed their story so much. I've already purchased the next book and look forward to reading it.

    The beginning of the story between the MMC Nico and the FMC Kat started off great. Kat is a make up artist on a video shoot and at the last minute she replaces the model who's incapacitated. Immediately they are drawn to each other. Nico presues Kat there's a love/ hate relationship developing.
    Then during the story where Nico deceives Kat and then this strong outspoken women just turns into mush and I was not pleased with the scene where Nicos ex shows up and Nico tells Kat to go into another room so she doesn't hear or see the ex, but instead of going to the room Kat hears the ex girlfriend of Nicos and he then takes the ex girlfriend in his car and disappears for 12 hours while Kat waits for Nico to come back and he shuts down any questions Kat has. Nico doesn't explain himself and what Kat should of done is leave his ass and she should of kicked Nicos but instead she apologies and turn into a spineless coward who just wants sex. ( combustion overload)
    Then the storyline gets much better. Overall is a good book with amazing characters ànd book 2 is amazing AJ and Chloes story is my fav.

    kat is a makeup artist with no family who struggles but makes her way in life. she meets nico on set of his music video and the fireworks explode! the have a tumultuous love affair that is just 🥵. when his sister dies and his brother comes into the picture after so long there will definitely be more explosions than you are ready for!

    JT Geissibger is a writer with such amazing diversity of genres, I never know quite what I’m getting into. Will I be stunned? Shocked?Heartbroken? In book one of the Bad Habits series she prepares us to be all of the above.

    Nico and Kat are a messy and unconventional couple, and their love is obsessive and OTT, but although I was bracing myself for it to get ugly, their love, devotion, and sacrifice to each other was never a question.

    I want to read the whole series now!

    Lots of these kinds of love stories are just made to hide all the sex scenes. Pornos in disguise. Unfortunately, I've seen it way too many times.

    This book, however, has a good story and some very hot sex scenes. Yes, it's exaggerated, I'm still convinced that sex isn't usually as fulfilling as J. T. Geissinger describes it, but it's still hot.

    It's a book for people (women?) who want to read a hot love story with a bit more "spice" and "punch" (liberally). The balance is great. There is an exciting plot that makes you go on reading even if you are tired of reading about the ways the male and female body parts come together.

    I loved it and I'm currently reading the second book.

    I also read "Dirty" (forgot the name of the author). It's a similar story, a normal girl falls in love with a rock star, she ends up participating in a video (who copied whom?), but J. T. Geissinger's version is more "raw". The men are more powerful, more dominat. I prefer it like this.

    WOW! This book put me through the wringer! Bot Kat & Nico's lives were so hard and left them with so many scars, it tore my heart out... But Amy... her life was stolen from her from such a young age, in such a way that she could never recover. There was so much power in this story that I can't wait to read what comes next in this fantastic series.
