With a slight “enemies to lovers” twist and some simple background clearly explained, I felt like this short novella was as a complete story that I will read every year at Valentines season.

    I feel like this series just gets better as it goes along. I love an older man/younger woman romance and this one hit the spot. It was so sweet it's definitely going on my re-read list.

    Willa lies to get an internship at the company of her father's former partner. She's been told all her life that Landon stole everything from her father and that he is why their life has been so terrible. The only thing that annoyed me is that she knows that he's a drunk and not a great man but she never questions what her father tells her.

    Landon, unbeknownst to her, has tried to take care of her through her entire life, including giving her a "scholarship" to college. He doesn't expect when he finally comes face to face again with that little girl from so long ago that he'll fall head over heels for her. She's what's been missing in his life.

    An over the top read? Of course! That's what you get with the Sweet Curves series so just sit back and enjoy it.

    This story is a mixture of sweet, hot, and ridiculous all rolled into one but it’s one of the reasons why I keep reading Megan Wade’s books. Call it a guilty pleasure. It starts with Willa thinking that she’s avenging her father against an unscrupulous business partner and from there, it goes VERY fast. You can expect the usual amount of over-the-top, can’t-help-himself alpha, the young virgin, insta-love, and hot sex. It’s a recipe that works for her even if the BBW virgin is a clichéd. I would look forward to a story where the lead BBW character owns her sexuality before she decides to give it away to the current alpha. Not everyone is waiting for Prince Charming or Westley. I will say this much, though. Anyone who has ever had a legit concussion knows that sex is the LAST thing on your mind right off.

    This was such a fun use of the so many good tropes! It has enemies-to-lovers, dads best friend, boss / employee, age gap, and of course insta-love! Somehow the author was able to take all these great ideas and mix them into one fast paced, racy, and fun novella with a sassy FMC to boot! Its a quick read making it even better! You get the good stuff super fast!

    Editing and grammar errors are so minor they aren't even worth mentioning. Nothing distracts from the flow of the story!

    I absolutely love this novella, so far I think it's my favourite. Willa walks into Landon's company with revenge in mind. She goes to the library to see if she can find proof that Landon had kicked her father out of the company and left him with nothing. He scares her when he speaks to her and she knocks herself out. He can't believe how beautiful she's become and he knew he had to have her. There's instalove, sexy scenes and an HEA. I highly recommend this book if you love short and sweet.

    -You have 2 epilogues in one short story. There are not many people in this book and no one is important as much as Willa and Landon. The h/H don't really interact with anyone else in the picture.
    -I liked how loyal Willa is to her father but can see through the lies and it's like all the pieces fall together, finally. Probably because at some point it didn't make sense.
    -I also liked how loyal Landon was to his BFF, Willa's father. But at some point you have to draw the line and that's what he did. Tough love.
    -Good interaction, good descriptions, great dialogues.

    What I liked about this book was that Willa was willing to take a moment to think about Landon’s proposal before she accepted. Mind you it wasn’t super long but most of the others in the previous books did not so beggars can’t be choosers. My biggest gripe with this for me was the age gap. Depending on the gap I am not opposed to it if the two characters have never met. Like a chance encounter or maybe a mini meet cute than a long separation. What I don’t like is that Landon is Willa’s father’s ex business partner. He was there during her childhood watching her group up. He talks about how he remembers when she was 6 years old and he would give her cherry suckers when she did good. He was 25 at the time. That is just too much for me. It’s screaming possible grooming to me and I didn’t like that at all. It took more effort to get through this cause the numbers kept haunting me but at least in the epilogue they dated for a year and then got married. I would not reread this again. Three books left in this Sweet Curves series. I just found book 9 which is called Peaches and Cream. Let’s hope this finishes out strong.
