Sweeten My Life (Nasty Bastards MC Book 7) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 394 ratings

Love is the last thing on her mind. Commitment is something he thought he would never desire. She doesn’t know where to run. He wants her to sprint toward him.

Horrific doesn’t begin to describe the beginning of Paige Hale’s life. Choices are not something she’s ever been given. When the Nasty Bastards liberate her, she’s handed her freedom on a silver platter but doesn’t know what to do with it.

Independence becomes an overwhelming concept. Choices become too many. Then there’s him. He wants too much. He wants everything, and she’s not sure she can give that to anyone.

Country knows how to read people. After all, he was once an undercover detective, and now he’s the secretary of the Nasty Bastards MC. He can tell when someone is being genuine, when a person is scared, or when they’ve been through the depths of hell.

He knows that she is the latter. She has been through hell, but he’s bound and determined to bring her back. If she’ll only let him. If she can relinquish herself to him. If she can accept what he has to offer her… which is everything.

Sweeten My Life had me all over the place emotionally. Paige has lived in complete and utter h*l^ all if her young life. Until Country. She's absolutely deserving of a little sweet in her life and he's just the one to give it to her. She doesn't know how to respond to all the normalcy that she's become a part of and my heart just breaks for her. There's so many surprises, twists and turns in this book. It's a great story and it'll definitely keep you on your toes.

Fighting for these two! Paige has had a really rough life and her past trauma has really made her doubt everything in her life, from her decisions to her future to her relationships. After all the back and forth with her, Country is struggling with if she is worth continuing to fight for their potential relationship, and he decides to go on a mission for the MC in order to get away from her and the situation and think. When Country leaves, it does exactly what he wants it to do to her, and she starts to realize how much she cares for Country and wants him in her life for good. I enjoyed the love story between these two, but the bigger storyline is what kept me on my toes and intrigued. I was on the edge of my seat reading and figuring out what Country was searching for on his mission and how it relates to Paige and her past, and Hayley did not disappoint with the shock factor! I can’t wait to see who’s next in this series and what more comes of the MC trouble!

I loved this entire series. Paige & Country seem to be at a crossroads. Paige is scared to take the next step and with good reason. Country knows what he wants and it's Paige. Country leave to cleanup the mess a rat left behind with the LA mafia what he finds is more than he expected.

I'm sad to see this series end because I feel there are still more stories to tell. Especially one of a betrayed and broken hearted women, who once gave support to all other Ol' Ladies. She now feels like a charity case and burden since finding out her man was a rat and everything out of his mouth was a lie!

Between Paige denying something she does not think she is worthy of and Country waiting for something he has always wanted, there is a lot of nothing going on until Country calls Paige's bluff and puts distance between them. Now Paige faces letting go of her pride or letting go of the man she loves.

Paige had such a horrible childhood while growing up. Country wants her to be his. He wants to make her life better and give her a good life. You know sweeten her life. This is a very emotional story.

I simply loved this book. My feelings were all over while I read this book. Hayley never disappoints. I highly recommend this book.

Paige's life has been one of abuse and degradation. So when she is liberated by the Nasty Bastards motorcycle club, she doesn't even begin to know what to do with her life. Zeph, aka Country, has fallen for this damaged girl and is determined to support her, no matter what the outcome, although he wants to make her his own. It's hard for this alpha male to step back, and let her find her way.

Add in an ex girlfriend who wants to make trouble, and a mafia contract, and there is action and suspense, as well as camaraderie, and love. And hot sex.

Country and Paige are a complicated couple that have struggled to have a committed relationship. Country leave to give Paige space to deal with her sexual and physical abuse from her childhood. Their are twist and mystery through this novel. The ending was a weak, did this couple have babies or get married? This author usually gives the reader a through ending of the couple lives.

After Repair My Life (Book #6), there were two distinct thoughts that were running through my head. 1. I was afraid that this series had run its course. I thought a few details could have been wrapped up, and then it was time to move on. 2. Maybe, it was me that had lost interest. I was scared that it was me more than anything else.

I am not sure if there's a magic formula, but I have the hardest time writing reviews for books that are exactly as advertised. For Example: One of my favorite plot lines in an MC romance is when the the female main character has experienced some form of trauma. She's then rescued by the MC, and one of the brothers wants to claim her as his.

When the Nasty Bastards rescue Paige, I had instant visions of Alessia from Tame My Life. They have similar backgrounds where they are forced to atone for other people's sins. Alessia has this notion that she's needs to be useful to the club. She doesn't take the time to heal, and you can tell with the way her story is. I didn't want to see the same thing happen to Paige. Even though Country is interested, she still wants to be able to plan her future on her terms. She's not willing to go with the flow because it's the easiest for everyone else.

Oh Country! I think you've just won the award for the best brother in this series. He's fully aware that Paige is scared to move forward. If he pushes her too fast or too hard to be with him, she runs. There's a moment though that is going to solidify your love for him. In one of his inner thoughts, he mentions that the only way she'll ever trust him is if he doesn't give her a reason not to. I think I might have swooned at that part.

I have a love/hate relationship with Ironfist. I loved him in Shake Up My Life when he was telling it straight to Riff. I hated him in his own book. He wants to claim Rebecca and her kids, but at every turn, he's making a bonehead decision. However, in Sweeten My Life, he plays the big brother role very well. It almost made me love him again with the way he protects Paige simply because she's Rebecca's friend.

Only one not so good thing that I thought should be mentioned. Country has a backstory that involves the LA Chapter of the Nasty Bastards. I wish this would have been explored a little more. How did it all play out? How was he still able to keep a patch? I just had follow- up questions.

In my opinion, a five star rating belongs to a book that is pretty near to perfect in every way possible. Sweeten My Life fits that description, and it restored my interest/faith in this series. I am excited to see sneak peaks of my some of my favorite couples.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but sadly not great

Faiman is one of those authors that I stay up until last midnight waiting for her books to be released so I always expect to give 5 stars for her books.

Unfortunately this book didn't do it for me and I was so looking forward to it. I have loved Country in the previous stories but not so much in this book.

However his love for Paige did save him in the book. He didn't do what others have done which is have an argument then sleep with skank then go back to his old lady annoyed they are upset because that's the life. He really loves Paige but what was missing for me was the righteous anger for Paige. Compared to previous heroes in this MC he seem sort of chill about the reappearance of someone from her horrible past that wanted to hurt her.

Othee than that as always I now wish I was on the ARC list for the next book in the serious, I really hope it's Bans and Moxie, but I do love Frogger too and want him to have his happy ever after. Please let there be a novella for Frogger.

If anyone does have an idea who is in the last of the serious please comment as I should be asleep but now lay awake thinking about it. Definite my worth a read!

Country and Paige’s story it was ok at least like some of the previous books Country didn’t cheat on Paige although he did put himself in situations where Paige thought he had and didn’t really take her concerns seriously when she asked him almost kind of dismissed it as her being silly ,Not that age gaps really matter but might be better if some of the girls where just a couple of years older instead of their late teens. The issue from the last book Ironfist and Rebecca about cheating was mentioned in this one in a conversation between Paige and Rebecca but it seemed like an after thought from the Author and missed an opportunity to make it an issue in their book .
