- Reviewed in the United States on September 5, 2020HER WEDDING KNIGHT is a standalone read in a cozy mystery series. Gwen and Arthur are finally marrying and they are having a double ceremony with their close friends Imogene and Christian. The wedding will be held at Wessex Castle. An ancient Saxon burial ship had been recently discovered on the site. The morning of the wedding Gwen has a dream. She is in a secret garden filled with clocks. Everywhere she looks she sees another clock. Instead of numbers it has the initials MK. The hands are all pointing to three o'clock but instead of a 3 there are the two initials of MK. She has no idea what it means. The wedding is at two so it is not related to that. Arthur's life has been threatened and they are all concerned but nothing is making any sense. She and Imogene decide to get dressed and go for a walk.
As the ladies get to the front of the castle a party of cars show up. It is the Prime Minister, his assistant, body guards and a few other people. One of the guards is wearing a ring with the initials MK on the top. This is all so strange and confusing. She knew the Prime Minister had a big meeting at the castle today but could it have anything to do with Arthur? and why would he want to do Arthur harm?
The wedding goes off as planned but then strange things start to happen. There is an unusual storm that comes up suddenly. A guest has a fatal accident or was he pushed down the flight of stairs? Gwen's aunt that the family has not seen for decades shows up for the wedding and upsets her sister, Gwen's aunt. There are witches at work, secrets revealed, Gwen is tested again to see how powerful she really is.
There is a big mystery to this story, lots of information flying back and forth. Is the mystery of the threat against Arthur solved? Will there ever be a wedding night that Gwen has been looking forward to? And what of Merlin? This is a fun, exciting story. Lots to learn from this one. And then a big surprise at the very end to make everything a happy ever after.
I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author, I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 9/5/2020
- Reviewed in the United States on October 24, 2020This was the most exciting mystery yet. I had questions about Hollie, but they were answered. I loved the description of the Wedding.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 16, 2020Wow, this series just gets better! I felt like this book left the cozy realm a bit and edged into fantasy adventure. So fun! We get to find out more about secret societies and wait until you meet the next big character! There was even a scene from the past that took you on a segue to historic romance. The story reminded me a bit of Mist of Avalon, but more fun, empathetic, and without unnecessary drama. Here, the main characters from the Arthurian legends are nice and good, not consumed by lust, jealousy, and pride. Maybe that’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I like stories seeing the world as a better place. The bad guys are really bad in this story, though. If you like a cozy story with mystery, love, kindness, history, legends, and magic, read this series!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 28, 2020I thoroughly enjoy this series. I admire the author's blend of historical fiction, action & adventure, mystery, romance, mysticism, and magic. I've not read much about the fact or fiction surrounding King Arthur's legend, but I fully intend to now after reading the Avalon Cafe series. One criticism: I wish there was more of a 'wedding night' scene, but I know this isn't to everyone's taste. I'll just have to use my imagination! More in the series, please, Ms. Moon!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 2, 2020I found myself totally engrossed in the story. The characters are fun, the story smooth and believable. Some nice plot twists keep you reading! Anyone who likes fantasy will like this book. Appropriate for even younger readers. Looking forward to the next adventures.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Wedding
I received an ARC copy of this book
Gwen and Arthur get their happy every after but not without drama and witchery along the way.
I love these books so much. They are sweet novels with a lot of history throughout the love story than travels across the centuries The charactersof Gwen and Arthur aka King Arthur interweave with past and present so well. A thoughly enjoyable read.

5.0 out of 5 stars A continuation of the Avalon Cafe Series. Best book yet.
Loved it, best book in the series so far. Lots of answers to subtle questions in the other books and really well written but wow there is so much happening. Even though the series is billed as a murder mystery the murder part in this book is a subplot to the main event. Gwen has been given her wings (for want of a better word) and I am so looking forward to seeing what comes next, can't wait until November for the next one.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable read
I really enjoyed this one - it was a great continuation of the characters happily ever after and the Arthurian legend. My only negative is that I felt there were too many new characters introduced too quickly. As a side note I wanted more time spent on the wedding itself as it was hard to get a sense of the event when the book focused more on the murder mystery aspect. Great to learn more about the reimagined Arthurian legend but this book could have used an extra chapter or two. I ended re-reading the book to make those connections and details I missed the first time. Can't wait for the next one. I voluntarily received and reviewed advanced reader copy of this book.
