Amazon Top 25 Bestseller

My new boss has it all.
In spades.

Gorgeous green eyes?
Check.
Hard-and-sexy body?
Check.
Intelligence?
Check.
Success?
A big fat billionaire... Check.

Too bad I haven't started out on the best foot.

My big mouth has already turned him against me, and tempting good looks and success aside, Trent Turner is no peach either. He's stubborn and thick-headed, and son of a fruitcake, he thinks he knows
everything there is to know about the hotel business.

With him running the development of the new Vanderturn New Orleans Hotel and me doing the design, our work relationship is far too intimate for two people who absolutely despise one another.

But that's not all.

See, he isn't just my billionaire boss from hell. He's my new neighbor, too.

Same city.
Same building.
Same floor.

Trent Turner is my billionaire boss next door.

Holy moly, let's hope my career--
and hormones--can survive.

“𝐈𝐟 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞, 𝐈’𝐥𝐥 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐚 𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐧 𝐰𝐚𝐫." 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗗𝗼𝗼𝗿 by the hilarious ladies of Max Monroe was simply…FANTASTIC! You can ALWAYS expect a laugh out loud, hilarious, and romantic experience with Max Monroe at the helm! Greer and Trent were so freaking adorable together! This enemies-to-lovers-to-SO MUCH MORE love story had me swooning one minute, and in absolute stitches the next. There were sarcastic quips and barbs flung about that made for such satisfying banter. When that was eventually pushed to the side, there was nothing but genuine affection and adoration from both sides. There were quite a few tropes going on in this book, all of which I loved, and the authors gifted us with a beautiful, entertaining, and charming finished product that you'll want to experience over and over again. *ARC provided by the authors*

I’m not going to lie - the cover threw me off a little and I was afraid it was going to be super cheesy but instead it was perfect. I loved everything about this story and I can’t decide if I want to immediately read the next one in the series or if this one can’t be topped and I would just end up disappointed. 🤣 Great job from Monroe.

My name is Greer, I’m an interior designer in New Orleans and very close to losing my company if I don’t find some new clients. I need a miracle to save it. That’s where my best friend Emory comes in with an offer. She has connections in New York where she has set up an interview with a hotel chain that is looking for an in-house designer for their new hotel in New Orleans.
First we have to attend a masquerade ball on New Years Eve, where everyone wears rubber masks of famous people, which is totally insane! So here I am wearing a rubber mask as Beyoncé and trying to mingle since I don’t know anyone, so I guess it’s good I’m wearing this mask. Ten minutes before midnight and a gorgeous looking body of a man starts talking to me. As we sip champagne and chat, the clock strikes midnight, and I am being kissed by a God! This man can kiss! Then he whispers something really naughty about kissing me between my legs, and he disappears. Gah!
The interview went so well that I got the job. Meeting my new boss, who is so hot, but a prick at the the same time, puts a damper on it, seeing that I don’t usually have a filter with my mouth.
M name is Trent Turner and my father is finally letting me take on the project of our new hotel in New Orleans, except he decided to hire my team without asking for my input. Not crazy about the designer, since she seems to grate on my nerves. So why is it that I can’t stop thinking about her.
This book is so funny, as these two characters try to make each other crazy. The only complaint I have is that it took 3/4 of the book before they finally got together. I did enjoy it immensely.

Greer is sassy, independent and determined to make a success of her interior design business in a very competitive market. When she gets the job of renovating a hotel, she knows that this could be the break her company so desperately needs but when she finds out that Trent is her boss things are about to get a whole lot more complicated.

When Trent is assigned the task of overseeing the renovation of the hotel, he is determined to prove to his father that he is capable even if his father has never approved of anything he has done. After he realizes that the interior designer is the same woman who irritated him beyond belief at their first meeting his task has gotten a lot more challenging especially as not only are they working together but they find themselves neighbors as well. Let the fun begin!

From their first meeting the sparks between Greer and Trent ignited but as they got to know each other the sparks changed from those of antagonism to heat. This is an enemies to lovers story filled with great secondary characters, humorous banter that will have you laughing out loud and hot chemistry.

Greer has the raunchy edge every woman wishes own. Trent is the perfect example of every male constructed stumbling block. It’s a brilliant conception that requires the rich, literally, and talented friend group to help them disengage from the destructive stubbornness that keeps them apart and forces them together. The epilogue hooks us in for the next lost day in Max Monroe land.

A journal of my thoughts as I read The Billionaire Boss Next Door by Max Monroe (censored to avoid any big spoilers):

Well, I’m only to Chapter 3 and have already set my kindle down several times to get a break from Greer’s bitchiness, negativity and idiocy. I’m nearly too frustrated with her to keep reading. All I keep thinking is “what an idiot”, even as she judges everyone around her as if they are the idiots and she’s just a poor, disadvantaged soul with bad luck. Nope, Greer, your attitude is what’s bad, not your luck.

I am now on Chapter 12 and still find Greer extremely immature and blatantly rude, but I do love sarcasm and a good appetite, so I am trying to focus on her positive attributes instead of the fact that she’s a 33 year old who hasn’t figured out how to adult yet. I can understand why Trent is irritated by her, since she was the blatantly rude one at the gym, but he’s holding a bit more of a grudge than necessary and flying off the handle about her getting hired is borderline crazy. All the while, his green eyes, work ethic and that one good line after the New Years count down have me holding out a lot of hope for this guy.

On to Chapter 14 and still annoyed by Greer’s ability to be extremely rude and then not take responsibility for it. She literally says “why do I do things like this?” multiple times. Because you’re rude and immature Greer, that’s why. Why am I still reading? If this doesn’t get better fast, it may be time to throw in the towel. 14 chapters and I am still rolling my eyes.

Well, well, we’ll, only a couple chapters later and things are finally getting interesting. Maybe I should be glad I kept torturing myself and trying to read through my eye rolls.

Alright, almost ten whole chapters of actual enjoyment. If it stays this fun, maybe it will even out the rocky beginning.

Ugh, I may have spoken too soon. It didn’t quite even out before it took a dive. I am one of the most sarcastic people I know. Seriously, every friend, family member and enemy I know agrees, sarcasm is one of my defining features. It’s usually the reason for both the friend or enemy label, but Greer Hudson’s sarcasm is tainted with stupidity. I mean, who mentions taking out a hit to the mayor, at their ball, surrounded by body guards? I am cringing. It’s definitely not cute to act like you have no brain.

Once I got past the blatant disregard for common sense at the ball, the steam picked up and had my hopes rising right along with it. The minor set back did not ruin the trajectory of the story.

That’s an ending I can live with and makes me glad I didn’t give up or throw my kindle.

Overall the story made me laugh out loud several times, single handedly inspired my eye rolling to new, medal worthy heights and I can honestly say I didn’t hate it.

I may even get really wild and risk reading another book by Max Monroe. I know, I live life dangerously.

I loved it but i think the heroine is a bit too much sometimes. Were I her BBF I would have killed her ages ago, seriously. The hero changes a lot during the whole book and I loved the fact that both, Greer and Turn, change so much during the book. Both of them learn from the other one and end up in a better position that at the beginning.

This book made me laugh out loud constantly. Hilarious and witty banter especially from Greer and Cap. Loved Greer she is loyal, smart, hard working, mouthy and ridiculously funny. She is great at getting herself in embarrassing situations. Trent was the perfect foil to her being solid and pragmatic but also with a great sense of humour, and Greer was exactly what Trent needed to help him calm down and build an amazing hotel.

Fantastic group of friends, much hilarity and an excellent HEA. Loved that there was a hint of Thatcher in there too.

The Billionaire Boss Next Door is another amazing romcom from author duet of Max Monroe! Greer, and interior designer who's business is struggling, is hired to work on a new hotel in New Orleans. Only downfall is her new boss is someone she can't stand, Trent. Needless to say hilarity ensues and I could not stop laughing!
