An absolute stunner, rich, deep, immersive and so very human. The story of two escapees from a breeding facility and their eventual fates is a fascinating and satisfying tale.

Challenges met and overcome, jealousies and pettiness rent asunder, humanity acknowledged and diversity celebrated.

    Thank you, Jane Jago!

I really enjoyed the twists and turns in this book, although I did feel the ending was slightly rushed, but it did tie up all the characters, but it left me wanting more

1.0 out of 5 stars Basic good idea but the novel doesn't deliver.

This is a long novel which within it has the outline of a decent novel. The author is still learning her craft I think and perhaps needs to accept that less is sometimes enough. There are too many characters, too many incidents, too much of the mills and boon stuff and too many different styles wrapped up in this long novel. However, I think some good editing could have made a big difference as the basic idea was a good one. I have seen reviews claiming a comparison with The Handmaids Tale by Margaret Atwood, but you can't compare them, MA is in a different league but that said I think this author might just get there in the future.
