D.A. Roach is a USA Today Bestselling and award winning author who has been telling stories since she was a young girl in the suburbs of Chicago. D.A. did not find a love for books until after college. Her parents were immigrants from Lithuania and found tv and radio easier ways to hear stories so they did not do much reading or encourage it. But once she finished college and D.A. had free time, she discovered how amazing it was to get lost in a story.

D.A. is a full time mom and wife. When she is not doing domestic things (laundry, bills, etc) she is writing, reading, creating mixed media art, advocating for a rare disorder, and gardening. Oh, and she is ALWAYS listening to music. Her favorite authors include Rebecca Donovan, Richelle Mead, Larissa Ione, Stephanie Meyer, E.L. James, and Nicole Williams. Reading great works from authors like these has motivated D.A. to write her own stories. She hopes to make positive changes in the world with her art and writing.

“Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”

This is my review of book one because I don't want to spoil anything.

I have been doing a countdown for this book to release. I've read the synopsis and saw the teasers. The anticipation was going to kill me. I was given the opportunity to get my hands on a early copy and I had to sweep it up. I admired the cover because it is gorgeous. I can't get over the title. Between the Bleeding Willows. There is something special about willows trees for me. Since I was a little girl they always represented magic and reading. I couldn't wait to crack it up.

Once I cracked it open I got to met the main character Cassidy. The first paragraph got me hooked and I knew I was in for a adventure. The story was well paced and had twists and turns. The ending will leave you with a bit of cliffhanger which I think I have figured out. I was in love with her right away. I had tears in my eyes within the first few chapters. I instantly felt connected to her. She is a complex character and you get to enjoy the raw emotions she experiences. It will pull on strings. A little bit later we met Killian. Now for everyone out there he is my new book boyfriend and you can't have him. He is dark, mysterious, and thoughtful demon hunter. He makes the perfect man for me. He is also a bit complex because he carries the weight of the world on his shoulders. It was interesting to get his point of view and Cassidy as well. I loved all the secondary characters with Casper being my favorite because of his love for books. Now my favorite moment was when Cassidy kissed Casper. It was hilarious and well planned.

Overall I fell in love with the series and plan on reading every book that comes out. It is written by a author who is a master storyteller. If you enjoy magic, love, heart break, courage, selflessness, tenderness and unforgettable characters then I would recommend this book for you.

****The Demon Hunter Series by D. A. Roach: A clean, entertaining series
****Between the Bleeding Willows #1: Enjoyable and entertaining
This is an interesting story with twists and turns, pain and heartache, war and loss, and new acquaintances... A fast pace and relatable characters with new discoveries and more questions. A lost love and two new attractions. It will be interesting to see where this story goes. Ends on a cliffhanger.
****Within the Darkest Hollows 2: twisty
This story left me confused on where it’s going. Lots of twists, a good pace, and a threatening war. Ends on a cliffhanger...
****Beneath a Sinister Moon #3: Good series wrap up
For much of this story I was sick to my stomach with Tyler/Rya/Jace.... Then the heartbreaking losses, and pain. All the feels, with a good ending if you don’t read the epilogue (which the author warns about) - - I read it and have to say it made absolutely no sense to me. So now I’m left wondering what that was all about??This series is overall good, and mostly clean.
I love this Quote: The first lesson is letting go of the guilt and regret....... give yourself permission to let it go.

This is an amazing paranormal series! Its a clean read for young adults but does deal with some darker stuff and have a touch of horror to it. The author just captivates you from the start and you find yourself finishing these books in one sitting.

I really enjoyed this series. It's not my usual read but dang was it good! I love branching out from my norm. See below for my original reviews on each book :-)

Between the Bleeding Willows ~ 4 Stars ~ I really enjoyed this book. I read it during a group read along which made it fun. Cassidy deals with so much loss at the beginning it really tears at your heart strings. She struggles to learn how to push through. Killian struggles with feelings he thinks he shouldn't be having, which doesn't help anyone. We meet so many people, but DA Roach does a great job describing who is who. Wonderful world building. I can't wait to start the next book.

Within The Darkest Hollows ~ 4 Stars ~ I love the darker direction this one took! Learning more about the demons, and what they are all about. Cass's struggles in this one are something else. This series, loving it!

Beneath a Sinister Moon ~ 5 Stars ~ This was a good conclusion to the series. Cass and Killian fought their battles, Casper and Lena had their struggles. The whole Clan comes together as a family. Suspense, drama, love, and loss. D.A. sure knows how to tell a story!
