These characters are UNLIKABLE.
What a jerk! I mean that. I don't know if I mean Kane Legend or Scarlett Hunter, though. Both are kinda jerky. Jerkish? Jerksome. I don't know what the term is. They are both jackholes, if you ask me. I like Letty a little more than Kane, but not by a whole lot. I think you are supposed to feel an abundance of sympathy for her, and I do. BUT she's a McJerkyjerk. So if you read the prequel, you know what happened the night eighteen months ago, and if you don't, they refer to a sweaty something-something in a dirty puddle often enough to get the idea. Kane and Letty hate-effed the heckfire out of each other, and nothing good came of it. Eighteen months later, the devil is back, and Letty has seen her nightmare come to life, in that Kane is the embodiment of some heartache unknown to us readers. Cliffhanger level stuff here. So, Tracy Lorraine is at her finest and has to throw in the guys you wish Letty would fall for in the form of two book boyfriends, the Dunn Brothers. She also sets up sexual tension everywhere because she is the devil. I love her, but her writing cave is probably a place called Hell. And I want to say that I dinged her because I found the two main characters hard to like, but I felt it was in that room-to-grow sense that I can't at all fault an author. What a cow?! You know what I mean? So do I recommend this book? Well, I originally wrote my review of The Mistakes You Make by saying to start here because I wished I hadn't met Kane Legend the way I did. Now, I am glad I read it because although both characters are still jackholes, understanding that night gives a lot of context to this book. I recommend reading both! This series is crack for dark romance readers. You will be dying for the next book when you get to the word 'black.' Highly recommend. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary advance copy of this book.

    I have no idea how this little gem of a series has stayed hidden from me but I'm so flipping thrilled that I stumbled my way upon it. Thank you little Amazon recommendation gods because I was about to hit a reading slump just before I found it!

    Kane, Letty, the twins, just so many feels and turns as I read through this book. It felt like a whirlwind in the best way. I didn't even realize it was ending until it let me I know I could continue their story in the next book, that's how wrapped up I was whilst I'm normally checking my page count and time left every so often.

    As the story went on I did kind of get an inkling where certain things were leading and possible events that had happened in the past but there's still so much I can't wait to explore and discover!

You know before I got to the boiling over parts and boy did it boil over? I completely loved it was so enthralled so into it so in love with every single one of the characters absolutely amazing, including Luca and Leon Love those two boys to death the way they’re so protective of her like big brother type of protective it is so cute. I think we all know that Luca definitely is feeling and we obviously know the history of Letty feeling a little something something for Luca but obviously knowing that those feelings may have shifted over the yearsbut you know I’ll just have to see where this goes in book two, but seriously though everything was absolutely perfect well done bravo

    Okay, so I've read my fair share of bully romances, so I'm used to the completely unreal characters you often find in these kinds of books. But never have I ever read such a blatant PICK-ME-GIRL like Scarlett before. All the boys are practically enthralled with her, and all the girls want to be her. It gets tiring really fast.

    Overall, I liked the story. It has promise, but it feels quite rushed at times. The writing is oddly structured and phrased at times, as well. The steamy scenes are the sole reason for my 2.5 stars. Those were really freaking good.

    Not sure how I feel about this book. It definitely ripped feelings out of me. Horror, irritation at how stupid Letty was, the flip flopping of Kane being alpha then not, the pain of their shared past. The hope they may find their way. The twins…sweet baby Jesus I’m NOT a RH fan but I would DEFINITELY get behind that with these boys! Finally, to overcoming their fears and where they came from and bravely facing their demons.
    All kinds of different emotions, not sure how I felt. It dragged in a few spots in the middle but mostly put together well and the many steamy spots were at MAXIMUM 🔥🔥🔥hot levels my eyelashes got singed reading them! Overall I couldn’t wait to see what happened next and gearing up for next book in series even though I can’t put a pretty little bow around my thoughts on this book I know it won’t leave you feeling nothing. Check it out for yourself if you dare.

    This book is dark, very dark by emotion and subjects. Yes, subjects. Violence, drugs, crime, very rough even violent sexual scenes and yet I found myself vested in Letty and Kane. Kane is bitter, angry and not that he admits it, hurt. Letty is also hurt, lost and is trying to survive day to day. This is painful to read but I found myself wanting Kane to overcome his anger and rise above, he has the brains and talent. Letty is a smart girl caught up in a tangled web and trying to get out of it. Am immediately buying the 2nd book even knowing the subject matter I must know if there is an HEA for Kane and Letty. Btw, this was my first book by this author and while it's dark and gritty I couldn't put it down.

    Book 1 in the Madison Kings University starts with a bang! This is a college bully romance. I suggest reads the prequel, The Mistakes You Make, which introduces Kane and Scarlett's twisted past.

    The Revenge you Seek gives some more access to their twisted interactions. Scarlett has moved to a new college to try to get herself back after a breakdown. She has left her dream college and moved back to start over again at Maddison Kings.

    Kane is now trying to get back his life back on track now that his brother Kylie is out of juvenile detention. A dream he had but never thought would come true - to go to college and play football. He is starting at....Maddison Kings.

    When Kane and Scarlett realize they are both at the same school, the shock and the need for revenge are consuming. There is also a supporting cast that will have you swooning.

    Personally I cant wait to see whether they will have books too. This book ends on a cliff and I can' wait to read the rest of their story in book 2.

    Something happened a year and half ago between Letty and Kane and that changed their life forever. Now they hate each other because of the consequences of this terrible day. Revenge it’s what Kane seeks and erasing it’s what she wants more than anything.
    She is trying to rebuild herself after transferred to MKU, what she didn’t count was that Kane also it’s there, after pulling himself together and righting some wrongs for the past year. Their encounter was nothing short of a tsunami of emotions bringing old feelings mixed with the disparo they have for each other now. There’s a lot of secrets that that day hides and strikes them, especially him like a punch in the gut.
    This book had a interesting plot and the development was good.
    Lucas and Leon for me, didn’t do it much. The fact that Letty and Kane didn’t know how to communicate and it was maddening! Just sit and talk people, come on!
    Enough with the riddles and the hiding. What’s so difficult about that. JUST TALK, don’t sit and feel sorry for yourself, that’s why it’s only 3 stars for me. It was good but the drama was to much, to long!

    Finally!! Kane and Letty get their story... but it’s not straight forward and boy is their back story a doozy!

    After getting some love/hate vibes from reading their prequel The mistakes you make and then piecing together everything we’ve learned about them via other characters in the Rosewood High series we finally get to see them in action. Letty is struggling with something and trying to get her life back on track. Seeing her strike up friendships with the girls in her dorm is nice, getting her friendship back with those sexy Dunn twins is beautiful. So many people to support her, to help her be her true self, however no one could of predicted what she was really keeping secret. The very thing that broke her. When it’s finally blurted out to Kane in the last cliffhanger chapter, it’s a jaw dropping moment. These two really need to work on their communication skills, however they’re far too busy having wild sex to talk! 😂

    There are so many emotions and twists and turns packed into this book that I can’t wait wait to read the rest of the trilogy to see how it turns out.

    This is a dark bully story, where the guy and girl hate each other but their chemistry is off the charts.
    It’s well written with quite a few twists which makes it hard to put the book down until the very end.
    Loved all the secrets that are blurted out at the end and the cliff hanger ending leaves me demanding more. Can’t wait until the next book is released in May.
