The Secret Billionaire (The Billionaire Princes Book 6) Kindle Edition

It was only supposed to be a one-night stand…

Over the past year, my life has fallen apart. First, my father died. Then I broke up with my boyfriend. My mother and sister have been a constant thorn in my side. And now it looks as if I’m going to have to close my bar.

The last thing I need is to complicate matters by falling for a man. Especially one like Jacob Prince. Okay, he’s gorgeous, we have lots in common, and he’s a great combination of hot, gentle, and kind. But he also has a baby on the way with his ex, and I don’t need that kind of hassle in my life. Anyway, he’s only in Queenstown for a couple of nights, so I decide to keep it simple. A one-night stand is the perfect solution.

The trouble is, when we end up snowed in, the one-night stand turns into two, then three. It’s a shame not to take advantage when we’re so good together, even though we both understand it can only last until the snow melts.

But as my life continues to crumble, Jacob’s the one thing I can cling to that brings me any joy. I need to move on, but how do I do that when he’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me?

Enjoyable quick read over too soon and yet story lines all tied up nicely. Quickly falling for each other at a time that seems all wrong with too many obstacles, the main characters sort it out and there's a happy ever after. Perfect.

This tale of the vagaries of life and how someone adapts, or is forced to adapt, was wonderful to read. It carries the Prince family full circle in a warm way and the reader pulls for the couple from beginning to end. Made me wish there were more characters and their stories to read. Having enjoyed much this author has written, I know there will be.

As with all of Serenity Woods books I really enjoyed the storyline. It confounds me how Serenity can write all these stories with different plots and characters, also bringing in other characters from other series and continue making up good stories. Thank you for a well written and captivating end to the Prince Family series. Or, could there be one more?

This was an entertaining story with a couple good outlooks seamed into the story. I just find it interesting that at the end it mentions the characters weren't really religious so they got a civil wedding. Then shortly after talk about loved one looking down on them, etc. If you don't believe in God then there is no heaven and no one who is dead is looking down ( or up!) at you. You are just fooling yourself if you think you can have it both ways. You want the rewards without the commitment. Ah, like a one night stand. Sorry folks. God never said He is into one night stands, but He can use them to help you toward commitment, just like in the story.

Jacob was in town to check out sites for a new Prince Toy Store. He decided to get something to eat. The place was so full not an empty seat. Until he spotted her sad and alone a,t a table for two. He asked if he could join her. As they talked they found they were both foodies. Who would have thought this could lead to so much.
I love Serenity Woods books. They always draw me into the story. I have a hard time putting them down.

Like all of SW’s books, this one had a good story and fun characters. Many other of her books mention anti-abortion stances in passing, but in this book there were several pages of anti-abortion rhetoric. Easy to skip through, but annoying nonetheless. Give me a story without the preaching.

The youngest Prince sibling gets a chance at love in the final book in the series. The Secret Billionaire is exactly that, where Jake Prince doesn't feel the need to advertise his wealth and makes a real connection with Immi Fernandez on a work trip.

Jake is having a hard time. He just found out his ex-partner is pregnant after an impulsive one-night stand and is feeling discouraged about work in general. He knows his faults, but it hurts to keep hearing his siblings poke at him, even if it is good-natured teasing. He's almost looking forward to the work trip to find a new Prince's Toy location.

Immi is resisting the negative news in her life. Her restaurant is well-liked, but not financially viable, especially with a crazy rent increase in the lease renewal. Her mom and sister are not supportive, making it seem like Immi is foolish enough to even consider working a job Immi is passionate about. They decide their "tough love" talk should also happen on Immi's birthday. While Immi isn't exactly surprised, it doesn't feel good either.

A solo birthday dinner isn't what Immi had in mind, but Jake asks to share her table and the only open seat left in the restaurant. A fortuitous meeting of two sad people, where they find how excited they both are about food and how they both feel drawn to the other. Can a one-night stand lead to a real connection?

I liked how Jake and Immi took the other as is. The both acknowledge how impulsive and flawed they are themselves, and don't hold those faults against the other. They both have experience with cheating exes, which has colored their views about relationships. The Secret Billionaire does deal with the topic of unwanted pregnancy in a way that didn't pit one person against another. Both sides of the issue were mentioned, but no one was made out to be a villain, regardless of their point-of-view.

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book.

From the author's newsletters the subject matter of this book wasn't intended to make a political statement or contribute in any way to the discourse happening in several countries around the world but wow was it good timing. In only showing a fraction of some of the considerations and factors weight that occurs when you are pregnant, this book highlights there are no easy answers. It also reiterates the fact that while you can know something is intellectually right doesn't mean it doesn't emotionally hurt. I enjoyed this last love story of the billionaire princes and the growth the family showed overall. I also liked that fact that our hero of the book comes to the realization that others may truly see who you are even when you think they don't. My issue is the same issue as with all the books in the series - not a lot of characters cross over from one book to the next. I wouldn't have an issue with it normally but this is a series, and secondly a series where a closely bonded family is at the heart of it. It would be nice to maybe have a scene or two where the other family members or the brothers and their wives have these little conversations so you get a chance to see their HEA. Anyway, another good read from Serenity Woods.

5.0 out of 5 stars a good read

A good storyline, Jacobs (Jake) story. He meets Immi (Imogen) outside a cafe/bar which is very busy and she is sat alone so he asks if he can sit there. He has just arrived from Wellington on a business trip scouting for premises to set up another smaller Prince toy shop and is starving. They end up chatting and enjoying a meal together. She was upset that her ex was uping the rent on her Tapas bar next door and she was struggling to make ends meet, hence sat alone trying to decide what to do. They get on really well together and it cheers her up. This is the start to their romance, but he is only there for a couple of days, but the weather turns bad and his flight home is cancelled due to heavy snow. They are both pleased they get to spend more time together and they get to know each and both talk about the problems they both have. There are quite a few shocks and twists in the story, not going to say anymore as it would spoil it, but definitely well worth the read, sad in parts but a lovely HEA.

This was a cute love story where for once they weren’t keeping huge secrets, and where the fact that he was a billionaire wasn’t the whole plot.

    I really enjoyed it!

I have all the books in this series and this was the last long awaited one and as they say - all the good things are worth waiting for. An excellent storyline of a billionaire family, this doesn't always mean that love comes any easier for them which is apparent in all this series. I just love Serenity's families and friends that she creates with love and passion. Thank you
