Tabloid Princess: A Single Parent Romance (Unexpectedly Royal Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars 200 ratings

He's the future king, determined and powerful. She's the single parent with a past she's had to run from. The passion between them is worth risking it all for.

I never believed in fairy tales…
Yet I fell for a prince.
A less than perfect childhood led me to preferring my own company in a tower of solitude rather than dating men and wishing for romance. I was more than happy with my simple, humdrum life…
Until I crossed paths with the heir to the British throne.

He should have a been the bad boy the press portrayed him as.
He wasn’t.
He should have been as arrogant as the rich elites I despised.
He wasn’t.
He should have been easy to walk away from.
Oh, boy, he wasn’t.

Before I could stop myself, I became the girl feeling things she only imagined existed in fiction—the stuff dreams are made of.
One fleeting moment changed my life… but it uncovered secrets I thought were buried, too. Thrust into a spotlight I couldn’t escape, I had nowhere left to turn but to my prince.
The only thing I had to do now was wait and see if he’d choose to protect his country…
Or if he’d choose to save me.

It went above and beyond my expectations. The key thread of addiction was geniously woven in. I was caught and spellbound. There was generous backstory and twist and turns that were ever so unexpected. Characters with such depth you felt they were standing right next to you." *****Goodreads Reviewer

A book hoarder and coffee addict at heart Anna's main existence in life is to create beautiful words about exquisitely flawed characters. She's a slow burn Princess and all about working for that happy ever after, but she guarantees when you get it, you'll fall so hard you might never want to surface again.

Be prepared to oooh and aaah and squeal with delight as Anna takes you on a journey you are unlikely to forget.

Anna lives in Surrey, the UK, with her husband and three children. She happiest writing (thinking of ways to make you swoon), drinking coffee and snuggling up on the sofa in the evenings for a binge of her favourite shows or reading in bed. She loves to chat with her readers on social media so if you love the words come and find her, she sure loves to talk.

Five stars! A modern fairy tale par excellence!
For the jewels of the crown’ sake! I have read a lot of Royal Romances before but Anna Bloom killed me instantly with Tabloid Princess! This book. Wow. I’m speechless. Words don’t want to come out easily to describe how much I freaking loved it. The story blew my mind and made my heart feel heavy inside my chest. The amazing characters stole a huge piece of my heart, especially Leia, a strong, beautiful young mother who didn't believe in fairy tales until she fell for the heir to the British throne. And Prince Oliver who is the epitome of a complex, intense Royal who seems to have everything but in reality he is missing something. They make a great couple.Tabloid Princess is a modern fairy tale, a wild ride, real, raw and heartwarming. A roll coaster of emotions that make this book what romance readers' hearts wish for! The pace is fast, the characters are utterly human and real, complex and intense. The storyline is brilliantly developed with the right amount of all the elements a romance book shall have. The plot is unique, refreshing with a lot of emotions and a lot of happenings that keep your eyes glued to the pages of this masterpiece par excellence. If I have to choose one word to describe how much I loved this book, it would be enthralling! Ana Bloom delivered a page-turning story that pulls you deep and fast! This book has everything I loved in a book, especially a Royal Romance! The heroine is funny, feisty and smart. Leia is a sweet character and a strong young mother who despite of her past and baggage works at a charity that is close to her heart. She sacrificed everything to raise her daughter. Daisy is her whole life and she will do anything to protect a provide for her. She's learned never to expect a fairytale ending in life until she meets Prince Oliver. A Prince who breaks the stereotype of a Royal. He is a Prince who cares and is willing to risk all for the woman who really sees him as a man he is. Both are from different worlds; she is a commoner, he is a royal. Leia's reaction to meeting Prince Oliver for the first time deserves an oscar! It was very brilliant and hilarious.Working with the heir to the British throne will be a wild journey followed by the media and paparazzis! Explosive attraction, love and a secret affair which will turn into something more will create the perfect environment for a blooming romance that will consume everything that will keep you at the edge! When I saw that this author is publishing a new book and this time in the royal trope I couldn't wait to put my hands on it. I was I won't be disappointed. I didn't have to think twice before I one-clicked it to have it on my Kindle. And let me tell you... I'm overjoyed I had a chance to read this. It was funny with lots of hilarious moments, sassy heroine a little bit of a klutz but lovable non the less. It has romantic, sweet hero and one fantastic little girl with her grandma that are two adorable characters that I couldn't get enough of.
Loved every single minute I spent with them all, I can't wait for the next part and I'm waiting her impatiently wondering how this all will unravel.
This books also touches few subjects that are very close to us living in modern society like poverty, psychical and physical violence, addictions and their after-effects not only on the addicted people but also on their families. But also the subject of the omnipresent journalists and paparazzi trying to haunt for the latest gossip, scandal without looking at the damage they cause. This all happens because we as a part of society want to know everything and cannot really give privacy to the famous people even if we want to have one on our own.
Great story, fantastic plot, awesome characters and as always flawless writing.

The end of this book had me in tears. I loved how the relationship slowing formed. I loved how Oliver made a way to see her and Daisy even though he did not tell Leia the whole truth. Loved how he spoiled Daisy and just loved her from their first time meeting. Leia had a rough start to life and now with Oliver will she be able to be truly happy.

"One kiss. A first kiss. Everything. Breath stealing. Heart breaking. Soul corrupting. It tore me to pieces."

Tabloid Princess is a modern fairy tale that spun me under its spell right away. It felt real and raw, it was heartwarming and entertaining. This book has everything a romance readers heart wishes for.

"I might be a prince. One day I might be king, but beneath all that I'm still only a man."

With captivating characters and a beautifully woven story Anna Bloom spins off the Tabloid Princess Duett that leaves you breathless. It's a roller coaster of emotions and happenings that keep your mind spinning and your eyes glued to the pages. A page turner par excellence.

"Could I deny the prince of my heart, even if the cost was my soul..."

This book will make you think twice before picking up a Tabloid Magazine.  Leia gives Oliver something that we could use a hard dose of the truth from the bottom up.  Oliver shows Leia that she was always meant to be a Princess

Well that was a wild ride. I'll be honest and admit that I kept putting it off because I knew that I was gonna travel down a rabbit hole and not be able to come back out once I was done. I was scared! I'm glad I finally took that risk though and opened it up. Now here is why I admit I only gave it 4 stars. Leia drove me bonkers. I know she had a rough upbringing and I know she was young. But she just couldn't see what was in front of her and the happiness that she deserved. That they both deserved. She just kept seeing the tabloids. Even Nana admitted she was silly and was going to be lonely for the rest of her life if she didn't stop denying everything. Don't get me wrong, I really liked her and I felt for her but I wanted to smack her so many times! I loved Oliver and Daisy. Oliver was just so wonderful and sweet. You could tell he fell in love with Leia, even though he kept getting cut off when trying to tell her. And who couldn't love Daisy. She was to adorable. Now I have to sit back and patiently wait for these two to get their HEA. I hope I can hold out! *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.*

5.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't put this book down!

Goodness! I loved this book - couldn't put it down!

"There was a dark voice whispering in my ear that the cost to my own preservation may have been a little too high."

Leia Lawrence has overcome her unfortunate upbringing and is a fantastic mother and also a champion for Bright Futures, the ailing charity where she is the marketing manager. However, an unexpected boost for their public image comes in the form of the scandal-ridden patron, heir to the throne, Prince Oliver. A man who turns out to be much more than his public persona. A man unlike any that Leia has ever met - and not just because of his dazzling good looks.

"The thought of not seeing you again is incredibly disagreeable to me."

Prince Oliver is used to being swooned over and having people pander to him. When he meets the feisty, irreverent Leia, he can't help but be drawn to her. She's unlike anyone he has ever met before.

"I might be a prince. One day I might be king, but beneath all that I'm still only a man."

Gah!! Prince Oliver is just utterly and deliciously dreamy!! He and Leia couldn't be more opposite if they tried and, with all the obvious obstacles in their way, he has no compunction in knocking them away. I loved his thoughtfulness, patience, humour, and determination to have Leia in his life. She is a survivor. She's funny, smart and sassy. I loved how she struggled to filter her thoughts. She tried her hardest to keep him at arm's length but he breaks down her walls and sneaks inside her heart. The tension between them was sizzling! This story was the stuff of fairytales and I just can't wait to see what happens next!

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 star amazing read!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 22, 2019
What an amazing story, 5 stars isn't enough to describe how good this book is.

I love Leia and Oliver, she is a normal girl who had a bad upbringing trying to make a good life for her and her daughter Daisy and he is the Prince and future King.

Their worlds collide when he takes an interest in the charity she works for as marketing manager, she is brutally honest and doesn't care who he is she will tell him how she sees things, please or offend, but for Oliver its a change from everyone saying what they think he wants to hear because of who he is, and he falls for her and her honesty.

Even though the press has got a story or make up their own it doesn't stop Oliver from sneaking around to see the woman that he desires, he does all sorts of things so they can be together.

There is so much I can say about this book but won't as I don't want to spoil it, just that its a must-read, I can't wait for the next book to see what happens.

5.0 out of 5 stars I adored this beautifully written modern fairytale romance
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 20, 2019
What a wonderful book this was. A refreshing modern fairytale full of heart, soul and pure emotion. The handsome Prince Oliver with a heart of gold the press just don't want to see and his Leia, a commoner who isnt afraid to tell it how it is, has stolen his heart and for the first time allowed him to be himself. Two fabulous characters full of life, whose depth and emotion jumped off the page and made them seem so real. Plus a mini princess named Daisy, who nobody could fail to fall in love with.

Beautifully written, I've laughed, swooned and cried at the alternating heart-warming and heart-breaking words of this book as Ollie and Leia battle to come to terms with their growing, forbidden feelings for each other.

I absolutely adored Tabloid Princess and highly recommend you read this. Anna Bloom has written a true winner here and I can't wait for the next part of this fantastic story.

3.0 out of 5 stars Just disappointed.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 25, 2019
I’m normally a rather lenient reviewer. However with this book I really had to use all my might to push through. A commoner finds herself in a relationship with a prince. A story that has been told before and although Anna Bloom did a good job this time around, I just felt that all Leia ever did was moan and lament the same points over and over and over and over and over again in her head. As a reader it became so frustrating to read. Had there been an index indicating the end of her moaning, I would happily have skipped the 260 pages of constant moaning and gone to the good bits. To add to this you finally get to the good bits only to have the book end abruptly and you’re slapped with a ‘to be continued’.

I just want my time back spent going back and forth.
