Take One Fake Fiancé: ...& add a dash of desire... Kindle Edition
Intrigue, Passion, Drama and Secrets...
Mita Ramphul is single and fancy-free – and she wants to stay that way for the foreseeable future. Living and working on the idyllic island of Mauritius is the stuff dreams are made of – until she bumps into a man who threatens to destroy it all.
Tanay Devkumar is cynical and shuttered – events in his past have cast a long and deep shadow. Convinced that Mita Ramphul represents a threat to his sister’s happiness, he seeks her out, determined to block her nefarious plans.
They meet in circumstances that can only be described as hostile – suspicions abound and resentments flare on both sides, even as attraction simmers beneath the surface. A series of disastrous events follow and they are compelled to pretend that they are in love and wish to marry.
It is meant to be a temporary engagement – but will Mita be able to resist her fake fiancé or will his scorching kisses make her yearn for something more permanent?
Take One Fake Fiancé is a refurbished, revamped, remodelled, updated version of “Scorched by His Fire” which was published by Harlequin/Mills and Boon in 2014.

About the author

My love affair with books began when I was a tot. A fabulous mother, who recognized the power of the written word, read to me and my sisters every night, introducing us to the wonderful world of the imagination.
Once I could read on my own, I graduated from fairy tales to adventure stories to romance, spending all my pocket money on books. My father served in the army and took the family along mostly wherever he went, resulting in experiences that beg to find a place in my books.
I am a surgeon, but make time for my other passions – reading and writing stories, watching romantic comedies, and doing creative things with wool and a crochet hook. I also love solving the Hindu crossword, and - when my muse is elusive - I enjoy pitting my wits against my husband's at Scrabble®. When I have no other choice, I can be found in the kitchen putting together my 'world-famous' one-pot meals.
Writing about love and happy endings feeds my romantic soul; hearing from my readers thrills me. Do write to me at reetsingh.author@gmail.com Visit my website at http://reetsingh.in to learn more about me.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 13, 2019This novel, in many ways, represents a journey. There’s the physical journey that takes Mita, the heroine, and Tanay, the hero, from beautiful Mauritius to equally exotic and fascinating India. Then there’s Mita’s journey from a spirited but internally lonely, passionate yet a little doubtful girl to a hot-blooded, hot-headed, intelligent, understanding and determined woman. I loved her character, she was so spunky yet vulnerable. And let’s not forget Tanay’s journey from suave, angry and detached to smitten and caring – and confident and strong-willed – rethinking all the rules he’d been living by and learning lessons along the way without losing sight of what he wants and needs and deserves. He sure made me fall for him, as hard as Mita fell for him. Just the right mix of brain, brawn and a little something edgy yet intrinsically good that I love in romance novel heroes.
With this book, the author proved to me again that she knows a lot about emotions and warring desires. Her sensual scenes were sizzling hot, and every single scene between the leading pair was so real I felt like watching a movie or looking out of the window. The opening scenes had me gripping my mouse, as had the last few pages. I liked the supporting characters too, and the thread from the past that was woven into the present.

5.0 out of 5 stars Riveting Read
I read this book in one sitting, well one nighttime read on my Kindle. Thought I could dip in and out of it as a good bedtime read. But I was wrong, I was so gripped by the suave and brawny Tanay, who came to the wrong conclusion about Mita. I loved the depiction of the heroine, we've all been subjected to our families need to marry us off. To find that nice young man, but she is feisty enough to deny all attempts.
Some of the scenes are hot and racy, but that's what you'd expect in contemporary modern romance novels.
Won't give away any spoilers.
Does Tanay find his fierce prejudiced heart melted by Mita? Will Mita finally find her missing family links in India?

3.0 out of 5 stars Could have been better
Appears to be disjointed and some parts done in a hurry. Loved the Mauritian backdrop- pretty authentic. However, some plots and behaviour of characters were incoherent and somewhat incomprehensible. Why did Tanay jump into forced intimacy with Mita in the first meeting itself? What was the reason for his meaningless insecurity for his sister? The end was too abrupt and could have been layered further. A promising story somehow lost its way

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely read
From cover to the end, a well created gift.
Mita and Tanay, beautiful characters which runs along the smooth plot hooking us to the story from the first page. There is no hidden parallel story or unexpected twist.
But a sweet read of beautiful romance. A perfect gift an author can give.
I finished the book in one go.
This is my first read of the author. I'm glad I picked it.

Lovely tale of love and happiness with no graphic details of lovemaking. I found this delightful in a brilliant way

5.0 out of 5 stars A must-read!
When Reet Singh promised a 'revamped and remodelled' version of her book Scorched by His Fire, I was intrigued. I was eager to see how she would rework the story. And boy, am I glad I read it. The author has spiced up the story, made the already hot Tanay 'scorching' hot and amped up the chemistry between Tanay and Mita. A must-read!
