    I loved how the possibility of kidnapping and made to submit to a new existence as a slave brought Jodie's awareness to a whole new world. Klaus had made Jodie his pet and also his slave doing whatever he wanted with her body. Realization of what they had become set in quickly with the downside bringing regrets.     This is surprising a slow working way dark read. It starts off kind of slow but then it catches up to you and take a full swing into dark, erotica, captive, dom and sub. I really quite enjoyed this book. I love how the author took something different and very unique way of captive books and did a spin of mind twistedness.

    Jodie is struggling with money, she needs to make money and as she does documentaries, why not do a documentary about a captive fantasy that she reads about in her Dark Erotica books, and make one for everyone to see. But this is a consent captive fantasy documentary.

    Klaus is her accountant and ex-lover. Jodie wants Klaus to be the one that is holding her captive, but with rules. She will be under his will for one month. One month she wants to get the concept of captive fantasies, and being mind screwed throughout the entire month.

    "Starting now. The rules are gone."

    This month has shown me two things - that I was a sadist who liked hurting people, and that I couldn't control it when I let it loose.

    There was some issue for me when it came to Jodie though. She.... Ummm... Let's see, I am not sure what she was expecting. Jodie wanted the whole captive fantasy come into play and being held against her will "per say" but was expecting too much to me. It came to a point where Klaus was being to nice and boring and not working out the way that she planned. Then Klaus takes all of the rules away and does it his way. Yes... I was so happy when that happened. I wanted Klaus to take full ownership of Jodie and do what he pleases. But, still there was this nagging Jodie in the back of my head that kept thinking for example, yes I do need new clothes, but why is he taking my suitcase full of clothes and my tooth brush is in there. Food, yes I want food, lobster sounds good. I just felt that she was expecting more out of what she wanted. Like a 5 star captive fantasy treatment.

    This is dual POV. I loved getting Klaus POV in the story. He at first didn't really know what he was going to do. Then starts claiming the dom that is inside of him and taking what he wanted. He started to go by his desires and his desires had no limits. I loved it. I loved Klaus. He was the sadist of a man that I love.

    He finally took over everything not giving Jodie a choice and that is what I wanted. It became more on the real side of the fantasy that I was looking for. It became more darker and that is what I loved most about this story. There was no limits. Just an FYI there are needle play comes into play in this book and some m/f/f/m action which I loved also.

    Overall as you can tell I really enjoyed myself reading this book. There is a second book and I am looking forward to see where the author is going to take it. I hope more darkness, maybe even more darker than what I had in this one. :)

    This is a very weird book in one way but it does show some people do not understand their own minds.
    I read it from start to end but several time almost gave up on finish it due to Jodie was so crazy.
    it comes down to the final facts is she enjoyed being beat and taken and being a slave.
    her best friend ended up scare to death he not be able to quit and let her free after a month.
    When she is giving a choice close to end she finally makes it.it goes to show sometimes people act strong but really or weak inside
    they just hide it and always feel something missing they desire in life.

    Cari Silverwood is a new author for me. I learned of her books through several Facebook groups and friends' recommendations. I'm so very glad that I took the chance on reading this book because I was absolutely blown away from the very beginning. The dark eroticism and deep, real emotions of the characters make this a book I know I'll enjoy re-reading over and over.

    Jodie is a young woman living on the edge of bankruptcy. She's a sometime low-budget documentary filmmaker and a part-time, not-so-successful comedienne. She needs to find a way to make money, and it needs to be something fairly fast. But what? She's really not that good a comedienne. And none of her documentaries have proven to be successful, at least when it comes to money. She's talked to her friends, contacts, everyone she can think of. Suddenly she has an idea. It's risky. And although she's sure it holds great promise, it's definitely not a sure thing. But it all hinges on one person, and she's not at all sure she can even begin to talk him into it.

    Klaus is Jodie's accountant and former boyfriend. He's an upstanding member of the community, about as respectable as they come. When Jodie comes to him with her idea for a documentary that she's sure will solve her problems, he's more than skeptical. It's goes against everything he believes in. Her premise? A fantasy she's always held, a capture fantasy where she's taken and held captive against her will. Klaus wants no part in this. It's just wrong. But Jodie has always fascinated him, and after long, intense, detailed talks about what will and, more importantly, absolutely will NOT, happen, they come up with a written contract that both sign.     If you are into dark, BDSM erotica the this is a must read. Klaus and Jodie agree to a documentary on a kidnapped prisioner with all these rules. This is both of their first foray into BDSM. Klaus leaves the plan behind only to realise that he loves being a Dom whilst Jodie loves being a Sub. Will their agreement turn i to a relationship? I know, but you will have to read the story to find out....

    An intriguing twist on the typical BDSM theme. Her idea to live out a capture fantasy takes them both on a dark physical and psychological journey. He finds darker depths within himself than he is comfortable with, she welcomes it all. They were a couple before, will this bring them closer or forever drive them apart. Not to be a spoiler but BOTH.

    At times the level of their play leaves the reader uncomfortable. By the end of the month's captivity they have had a lot of physical interaction but done little talking. The chapters alternate between each of their perspectives. They talk more to the reader than one another. However Beatngsi for talking would keep me pretty quiet, too.

    Unlike most in this genre, it isn't just D/s it explores the Master/slave relationship complete with sadism and masochism. It shows the necessity for proper training and strictly enforced limits. He wants her trust but repeatedly breaks her rules. He isn't a bad person, but he seems unable to manage his self control.

    I was disappointed in the ending.
