Having read Sam JD Hunt’s work before, I knew going into the book, it would be a good one, and I was right! This one is a PANTY MELTER!

I am an MFM lover to begin with, and this one was awesome! It wasn’t too short, it didn’t drag in ANY WAY, it had action, suspense and, while not overly descriptive, the sex scenes were HOT and they aren’t powder puff scenes either.

Each character has their own demons to fight, so they aren’t shallow characters. Each character has to get to know each other and understand each other’s flaws and strengths and help each other grow in their own unique way.

Rex has his VERY own unique way of helping a person grow and become strong. Sometimes it isn’t pretty, and really, sometimes you think the guy is a dick. He is one tough cookie.

Penelope is really kind of a lost soul when Nate takes her. But we soon find out WHY he takes her and why she is a lost soul.

Nate left society a while back, and for good reason and when he reappears to take Penelope he does it for a purpose. Rex, a guardian-of-sorts to Nate, is not happy about Nate taking “Princess” but now it is up to him to handle this situation and during this process…Three become one, but not without a few growing pains…for all three of them.

Sam has a way with her words and that always kept my interest, and kept me reading or I should say “seeing” everything in this story. She also kept me very Hot and Bothered! She is a prime example of how an author doesn’t have to have every sex scene described down to the last iota to keep a reader worked up! HOLY CRAP! I knew EXACTLY what was going on by what she was saying. I love dirty talking men, and for some reason, I didn’t need it in this book. Don’t get me wrong, these men gave great instructions, but beyond that they weren’t excessive with their dirty talk.

Just a great all-around book! Can we have a sequel of these characters? YUM!

This was a fast paced, thrill ride from the very start of the book. Penny was taken from her father's casino by two men and she didn't know why. She couldn't explain her sexual attraction to her captors Nate and Rex.

"Why did you taken me? Is Rex going to kill me?" "...I took you to keep you safe. I admit I hoped we might, um, hit it off, and that Rex would like you, too. Earlier he waid if you wanted me, if we...he said it was okay if we were together."

I asked myself going in, what in the world is going on but the story just sucks you in and doesn't let go.

"My nails clawed into his back as he thrust-hard and unyielding agianst my tightness-over and over until we both shuddered in climatic ecstasy."

"Killing that snake was life changing for me. I was lying in the mud, thinking, 'He'll save me,' and then something just clicked-no one is going to save me but me."

Penny is taught self defense, how to handle guns, and how to survive by Rex and Nate. They both took turns teaching her what they were both experts at, including talents in the sack.

"Being sandwiched in between those two glorious men was the single most erotic experience of my life up until then, and we were fully dressed."

Although the last 20% of the book seemed a bit rushed, the story wrapped up in a palatable conclusion and left this reader satisfied and happy with the reading experience.

In the beginning I thought it was a little weird story and I didn't like Rex very much but both the story and him grew on me so it ended with love ❤️ if I should mention one thing it's that I found the background on Nate to be lacking in comparison to Rex and Penny's. But that didn't make the story less lovable.

The storyline is good and the characters are well described with enough emotions that I felt for them going through the most of the book.

The writing style is easygoing and has lots of dialogues so it makes it an enjoyable read.

This is the first book of two as I understand and there is a taste of book 2 in the end so now I just want to go on to that one.

5 shiny stars for this ménage!

I've read Sam JD HUNT before, and I've never been disappointed. I bought this book and spent last night escaping into the sensual world of these three amazing people. This is not your usual love story. It's three...no four (!) stories in one. It's about the love between Penelope Sedgwick and Nathaniel Slater, a man from her past who takes her captive. It's about a love developing between Penelope and Rex (King Rex) Renton, a man she fears but can't ignore.

Those are two amazing stories in their own right, but there are still two more incredible stories to be told. The story between Rex and Nate is not one I expected; two men, bonded by battling their demons, explore and develop the deeper bond growing between them. AND the final, the fourth LOVE story is the one between three people, between the triad that is Penelope, Nate, and Rex. They join their very souls to one another, breaking through and past adversity and perceptions to become what they were destined to be.

I expected a menage story...what I got was something so far beyond that. This is an wonderful story. A WOW, feel good read and one you will want to experience for yourself.

Go out and buy Sam JD HUNT's Taken by Two...Read Taken by Two and find yourself taken on a wonderful adventure.

Definite must read!

Well...... I bough the book after reading the good reviews but, at the end, I was disappointed. I mean, you think you have been kidnapped and you just have sex with your captor instead of trying to escape????? Really??? The author could have done better.
It is true that the book is reaaaaaallllly hooooooooooot and, if you like that kind of books, you will enjoy it. But don't expect a great storyline.

I wasn't sure about this one at the start - Penny wasn't a character that I could identify with, and her description of Nate didn't match up with his actions as we got to know him a bit better. They both came across as whiny and shallow. That Nate deferred to Rex to control all aspects of his life confused me as well. Thankfully that changed and we got to see more of them, and see Penny grow. Their relationship with Rex was very well written and well developed, and their intimate scenes well thought out and realistic. That Rex took time admitting and acting on his feelings for Nate added to the 'real' feel of their changing status. Looking forward to reading the 2nd book and will be looking up more from this author as well.

If you enjoy a great love story and are not afraid to step outside of "what society thinks is a normal" relationship. This is a must read. I have read all of Sam J.D.Hunt's book so far and have enjoyed each one, however Taken by Two has pushed Sam over the top in erotica. An amazing book by a great author. Must Read.

I was given this book in turn for an honest review.

The last thing Penelope Sedgewick expected was to find herself enjoying the company of Nate and his dark dangerous friend Rex Renton. Their chemistry is undeniable, their lives are in danger; is it possible for them to love and exist as one?

Sam JD Hunt has left me at a loss for words. This story is unlike anything else I have ever read, she has completely and utterly blown me away. What I expected and what I got were two very different things and what I got was so much better! She has exceeded all expectations and proven once again how great a talent for storytelling and story development she has. I absolutely loved this book!

Let's start with Penelope; at first she appears to be a spoilt brat with no emotion other than that of a spoilt child. What we discover is a caring, loving, clever, kick ass woman that you can't help but admire and respect.

Nate is a slick, sexy, suave and caring man with a cheeky personality, who deep down has a whole load of love and care to give.

The dark dangerous Rex was the character I argued with most. He seemed, arrogant, nasty and disrespectful. As the story progressed I began to respect him more and then suddenly I found myself completely falling for him. Deep down he was a strong, loyal, independent, caring and loving man. He had barriers that slowly dissolved with the help and love of Nate and Penelope.

Without a doubt this trio had three very different pasts yet in a way they had all felt and lived the same suffering. They were the other third to each other. They helped to heal each other and bring out the best in each other. As one they were stronger than ever and their hearts and souls were complete. Who says love can only be experienced in one way? This story shows love can be felt and lived in more than one way and that love will outshine any normality labels society puts on it.

This story is HOT from start to finish, their sex will leave you panting, wanting and wet!

If you love erotica with an intriguing and kick ass storyline and enjoy sex scenes of a MMF/Bi/Ménage nature you will absolutely love Taken by Two by Sam JD Hunt.
