And he’s my brother’s best friend.
He’s made it his personal mission to annoy me and when he sets his mind to something, he rarely fails.
But when Gray and I end up at the same college, we can’t seem to stay away from one another.
I’m supposed to hate him, but when I’m alone with Gray, everything changes.
It turns out there is more to this boy than I ever knew.
Our attraction is something that can’t be extinguished.
But Gray is determined to push me away.
And I’m determined to stay.

There is more than just a brother’s best friend story and I enjoyed seeing the Magic Willows again!

There is more than just a brother’s best friend story and I enjoyed seeing the Magic Willows again!
Tangled by Laura Pavlov is the second book in the Willow Springs Series. Tangled is a completely stand-alone brother’s best friend contemporary novel with appearances made by characters from the first book in the Willow Springs Series titled Frayed. Frayed featured Gigi’s best friend and Magic Willow member Addy and her HEA with Jett. I highly recommend Frayed as it is so good! You don’t need to read it prior to reading Tangled. Tangled brings us Gigi and Gray’s story. Gray is obviously Gigi’s brother’s best friend. We’ve gotten glimpses of Gigi and Gray’s relationship in Frayed. We knew that they had a love hate relationship but that there were obviously feelings involved. Now in Tangled, Gigi and Addy are out of high school, out of Willow Springs and at their first semester at Texas University TU at Austin. Gigi’s brother Cade is at a different college and enlists his best friend Gray to watch over Gigi since Gray already attends TU. Gray clearly likes Gigi and therefore has no qualms with watching over his best friend’s little sister. He does this by annoying the crap out of her and following her around constantly while also referencing her outfit choices negatively. I’m sorry, I love Laura Pavlov I just really didn’t like the constant berating of Gigi by Gray but I’m sure not everyone feels that way about him. I didn’t find his antics cute. Instead, I found Gray to be overbearing and too harsh. Although Gigi didn’t mind as much because she likes him as well, it irked me to read the way he bossed her around. There is more than just a brother’s best friend story as we read about Gray’s childhood and current familial issues. Gray deals with more than one would think for his young age. He’s only in college, yet he is essentially on his own aside from his best friend Cade’s family hence why exploring the relationship would be detrimental to the friendship. Gigi is a nice girl. She’s sweet and you can tell that this is how a young woman who is raised by a good family in a small town in Texas is like. I like that Tangled and Laura Pavlov’s style in general is written from a realistic perspective. Her books deal with real life issues and I look forward to reading more from the Willow Springs Series. In each book in the series, we will get one of each five ladies’ stories. I very much appreciate being able to know what the other characters are up to as they will always reoccur in the series.

I always love a friends to lovers story in this one did not disappoint. You could feel there bond throughout the novel and it was heartwarming.

Tangled gave me all the things I love about this author. Not only was it well written with thoroughly developed characters, it was also funny and sexy with tons of heart.
I was hooked from the very first page. There was something about Gigi and Gray that pressed all my swoony buttons.

I loved the relationship between Gigi and Gray and I thought they were just adorable together. They didn’t have the easiest time getting together, but the journey was so sweet that I enjoyed every moment, even the angsty ones. There was something about the banter, hot and sexy chemistry and lifelong bond that I loved about them.

There was definitely more than meets the eyes with these two and this author does a fantastic job delving deep into their hearts and giving us a story that will make you laugh, swoon and ultimately melt. Laura Pavlov has this quality in her writing- it’s like once you pick up a book by her, you don’t want to put it down. This book was entertaining. It was easy to read and get lost in Gigi and Gray’s story. I loved that this story made me laugh, smile, and swoon. It was such a great read. I absolutely adore the series and I can’t wait for the next book.

This got to me a little bit. The addiction was hard for me as I’ve had to deal with it with someone. But the story was solid and really great read!
  • Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2022
This book was okay. Like it wasn’t good but wasn’t bad. Grayson was cute at time but eh. I wanted to see more of a connection between the characters. Not just sexual tension and a little banter. I was so happy at the end when Grayson finally decided to stop enabling his dad. How he helped him out so much kind of made me mad. Like he needed to realize that it wasn’t his problem anymore. I lowkey hated this storyline though and made me want to give this book 2 stars. Butttt I loved the sisterhood in the book. While I kind of dislike the whole I always have to tell them absolutely everything it was cute. I lowkey didn’t like how you could kind of clearly see the stereotype each of the friends were but whatever. I could also clearly see who was going to be the main character in the other books and the trope they would have. But alas the friendship was cute. Wish they gave it a little bit more attention. I loved their nickname and lowkey the best part of the book is the ending. Grayson is actually really cute and you see their relationship be cute. Most importantly the girls at the end toasting to their friendship is just so cute and made the book up a star for me. Would love to see all the characters years later like in their 30s and just their relationship and how they have changed and now interact over the years. Like I would love to see them in their 30s reminiscing about their friendship. Now I lowkey wouldn’t recommend this book. It was eh. I was read wayyy better brothers best friend. This book had the classic the brother will be mad and the book just kind of boring. It didn’t strike me. I’m only giving it a 2.75 and not a 2 because of the friendship. I was going to give it a 3 becuase of the friendship but I can’t give it that high of a score compared to a 2. This book isn’t what I would call average where I liked a lot of things. I really only liked the friendship and the end of the book. I looked at the other books in the series and was going to read some of them but I am not sure after how I feel about this book. Hopefully if I do they are better. This book also seen very high school. Like I forgot the characters were supposed to be in college. It seem to read like they were in high school at times. Wouldn’t really recommend. It was eh. Can’t give it a full 3 or just a 2 so 2.75/5

I have read this series out of order and am loving it.
This series starts with all 5 friends in their last year of high school until they graduate from college.
This is book #2 ,and Gray and Gigi's story. The trope is a favorite of mine, best friend's little sister and enemies to lovers.
This is college age romance, and this is a genre that I have never read before mainly because of how young the mc's are.But you know what? This author makes it work for me and without fan girling too much I have to say....I loved this couple so much, they were each other's half to make a whole.
I recently discovered this author and her small town romances and have fallen in love with her small town, the relationships between the characters and their best friends, and how each story is a progression to the next that I can't wait to read about the next couple.
As I said earlier,I have read this series completely out of order, and you can,so I know about their long tern HEA which was amazing!

This story was so sweet, a girl who loved her brothers best friend since she was a kid thinking it was just hate because he would always irritate her to hide his true feelings, to a guy who had a rough childhood and early adult life because of his fathers addiction and found in g how he calls her and her family a true family a love that sadly his parents weren’t giving him, when they finally realized they loved each other and had each other he saw light he saw love, he saw his strength, very pretty well written story.

Frayed set the bar high. With Tangled you just don’t see the bar. I can’t wait to see what is gonna happen next.
The second book in Willow Springs series is unputdownable and so worth my lack of sleep.

“If Gray Baldwin was in my vicinity, I was going to be tangled up with him”

Trust me, all of us want to be tangled with Gray Baldwin… and Gigi!!!

Gray and Gigi! Gigi and Gray! Their story is breathtaking, explosive (the sparks between them make everyone in their vicinity fan themselves), and M.A.G.I.C.al (did you see what I did there? If not, it is time to start reading this series).

She is his best friend’s sister. He is her nemesis!!! The abovementioned sparks make sense now. ;) They fit so well together, that by the time they realize it, you are on the edge of your seat (if you are sitting down, I don’t judge) screaming from anticipation. Yes, it is that emotional.
The Magic Willows are all there to support and inspire the couple’s story, as they were also there for Adelaide and Jett, in Frayed. I see a pattern here. :P We also meet more familiar faces from Willow Springs and this just makes your heart happy (it truly does).

This series is one of the cutest that I have ever read and I cannot wait for the rest of it.
