Aleatha Romig is a New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author who lives in Indiana, USA. She grew up in Mishawaka, graduated from Indiana University, and is currently living south of Indianapolis as well as part of the year in Bradenton, Florida, USA. Before she became a full-time author, she worked days as a dental hygienist and spent her nights writing. Now, when she's not imagining mind-blowing twists and turns, she likes to spend her time with her friends and family, including her beloved grandchildren.

Aleatha released her first novel, CONSEQUENCES, in August of 2011. CONSEQUENCES became a bestselling series with five novels and two companions released from 2011 through 2015.     Kader(Mason )/Laurel’s trilogy.
    This story is riveting with a fast pace, chemistry, unknowns/threats, and twists. Kader/Mason is a puzzle. He doesn’t remember who he really is. His job is to kill Laurel but instead he keeps her safe. His emotions are uncharacteristically engaged, or as he tells Laurel, she’s f’g with his head. It’s much more complicated of course.. This series is good!
    As it evolves, more twists, and answers. Mason remembers! And the Chicago brothers are finally reunited. A nice wrap up and a wonderful HEA for Mason and Laurel.

    4.5 stars. Holy wow - don't want to give it away :) I didn't feel as connected to this story as to Sterling and Araneae's, but what I loved about it is how different it was from their story! Some times in these types of series, it is like re-reading the story with just different flavors thrown in - not this one! Completely different though set in the same style of unknown danger, trying to figure out who is the bad guy(s), twists and surprises. Also, just like with Sparrow and Araneae - Kadar and Laurel have been connected since childhood - it just takes them both a while to figure it out because of what happened to Kadar. I did remove 1/2 star because I felt that his "re-awaking" moment was underdone - he had been on missions for years that probably included fire and explosions at some point, they even pointed out how they couldn't have him react to that, so when he did react to such a small thing didn't feel right - also when he reunites with his friends was very anticlimatic. The intrigue was excellent, trying to figure out who/what/why and how it was all connected.

    I have always loved a box set because I get so drawn in, I can’t wait to spin into the next book and continue the ride. There are so many facets to this trilogy that are heart stopping and make your chest ache, but also a back story that makes your heart scream. It was a long journey and one so twisted, you could only hold on. Definitely one to settle in and prepare to lose sleep. You won’t want to stop.
