The Temptation of Dirty Secrets (The Boys of Clermont Bay Book 6) Kindle Edition
But no one knew the depths of our lies.
I had been in love with her before… before everything changed what we could be.
Undeniably connected and effortlessly infatuated, the two of us had remained each other’s weaknesses through everything.
I couldn’t afford to allow her to be my weakness anymore. I was in love with someone else. I was engaged.
But it didn’t matter how much time had passed, the moment I saw her again, I knew I would never escape her.
I never should have touched her again. Whispering her name in the dark was a mistake.
She was still everything I wanted and nothing I should have had.
We became a secret that neither of us could keep.
A devastating secret that would destroy everything.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 28, 2022So I gave five stars because it really is a good read but I’m really mad about the story. I don’t get why their relationship played out the way it did. Especially when olly was so head over heels sure of her in the first book. I feel like this just dragged out a lot farther than it needed to. I get Frankie had some issues to work through but I feel like they didn’t grow in their time apart. Olly went from sure and confident about him and Frankie to oh no your brother can’t know. To which beck really didn’t do that much to keep them apart. It was like a 3 min convo saying don’t date her. Frankie had zero plans outside forgetting Olly existed. I also wish they gave more background on where they are now or what their future plans are. I think it was a lot of them apart and then a 2 minute ending of them back together which was just sex scenes. I would’ve liked for them to be together and then maybe like work towards making/navigating their future together. I was just disappointed I expected a bit more than what I got.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2022This book was such an emotional rollercoaster for me. I have never wanted to go inside of a book and yell at a character more than I wanted to yell at Olly. He is an example of every wrong decision that could be made being made. All she wanted was for the boy to choose her and it seemed like every decision he made was the opposite. Don’t get me wrong, Frankie made stupid decisions as well but things could have been made better a lot sooner if he didn’t make the ones he did (specifically the one that hurt her the most).
With that said, an emotional rollercoaster is exactly what I love in a book. I felt like I was so apart of this story and my heart felt for the characters the entire time. I was rooting for both of them to make better decisions and for them to finally have a happy ending.
I cried so much when I read this and truly loved the story, despite how upset and sad it made me as I read it. Holly is truly an amazing story teller and I cannot wait to read even more from her.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 12, 2022Thankfully I was already prepared for the angst of this last installment.(Practically salivating for it actually) I was so happy to finally get to delve into all that is Frankie and Ollie yet sad to see it come to a close. While Ollie didn't have the same a-hole effect Beck and Carsen carry so well, there is definitely a reason he completes this alpha tripod. In fact, his steadiness is the perfect balance to Frankie's unwillingness to submit.
Everything mostly wrapped up nicely with only one thing left unresolved. I didn't get to actually see the downfall of who turned out to be the villain in every story. Its okay though since I could barely read past the steam coming from my kindle everytime Ollie decided to show me who is the boss.
Holly Renee is a newer author to me but she has already won me over. I can't wait to read more of her stories to see where she takes me next.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 7, 2022I had to stop reading because I wasn't ready to see Olly and Frankie's story to end, or even this whole group to end!! I absolutely loved this whole series!!
This book itself has so many life lessons written into it. The fact that you can't help who you fall in love with because the heart knows what it wants. Olly and Frankie tried to find love away from each other, even though they did it didn't expand to the love that they shared with each other. In the end their love will always be stronger and lead themselves to each other. You gotta risk it all to have the person you are meant to be with. Even if you risk losing everything you still have your ride or die by your side. Olly and Frankie's love was always there and the distance made it even stronger. Their love won at the end because even though it looked toxic it wasn't. They just loved fiercely and tried pleasing everyone besides making themselves happy. I'm glad they got everything and more by the end of their story.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 21, 2023So many emotions in this book!!!! Ugh! I freaking adore Olly so much! He is definitely a top 5 book boyfriend. Frankie and Olly are perfectly made for each other! I love them as a couple and hated the way they kept fighting it. It was always suppose to be them. 5 star if I could give more I would, hands down amazing book!!! Holly is one amazing writer!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 27, 2022First, I really enjoy this author and have absolutely loved this series, but Frankie & Olly’s story was just fell a little short for me.
They were apart more than they were together. I guess that amounts to some serious angst. But, I really wish they would’ve just got their sh$t together and shared their concerns and fears and grew from there.
The fact that they got involved with other people, while still truly in love with each other doesn’t make sense to me. Why hurt so many others in the process?
Both of these books were pretty short and there was a lot of repetition. Overall, a good series. Glad they all got their HEAs. I just expected more from Frankie & Olly’s story.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 5, 2022This book was everything I wanted to happen with Olly and Frankie! The back and forth. The love between those two. I loved seeing the old gang. Olly has definitely become a book boyfriend. At times I was thinking just end it because what they were doing was not working for either of them. But the fact that they still didn’t let that end them. But made them stronger and more in love with each other. This duet of the series may just be my favorite. If you love a sweet guy that loves the girl in secret but knows he screwed up and is doing what he can to make this right this is the series for you. All the Clermont Bay boys are intense in their own way but love so hard for the girls that have captured their heart.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good read
The theme song for this book for me has to be Lips of an Angel by Hinder. This book is that song and I love it for that. This couple made be want to smack their heads together so many times on their way to hea! Good angsty read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, wow, wow!
The whole series, The Boys of Clermont Bay, have been ‘pleasurable’ to read and Frankie and Olly’s story doesn’t disappoint. The characters are relatable and you can connect with their love, lust and angst. The male characters, while slightly unrealistic with their emotions and need to give, are what wet dreams are made of!

5.0 out of 5 stars Holy moly 😍😭🤬😍
I had to make myself read this book slowly because I new it was gonna hurt before it got better and by golly did it hurt 😭 I spent a lot of time ugly crying over Olly and Frankie’s story because I just wanted to flick their noses and say get freaking on with it but of course they aren’t real people no matter how much I want them to be.
Holly definitely new what she was doing keeping these two till last and I’m soo sad that this series is over I hope to see these characters again in the future so all my fingers a crossed 🤞
Olly and Frankie are everything yeah there story was up and down but true love is messy, it’s hard and sooo very complicated when you have to battle your own insecurities to see the finer side of life these two are everything 😍😍😍

5.0 out of 5 stars The temptation of dirty secrets
I did wanted to scream at these two characters the pain, suffering and hurt as they where to scared of there feeling and to communicate. You felt for them this was an emotional ride for Olly and Frankie. But the conclusion to the story was everything an incredible read, amazing characters and a gripping storyline.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great ending for Frankie and Olly
I was most excited to read Frankie and Olly's story since the series first started. I felt like their love story was something that developed over time and was more adult than the other relationships that took place in the series.
Olly is one of Beck's best friends. Frankie is Beck's younger sister and someone he is fiercely protective of. When another friend of Beck took advantage of Frankie, he never really felt comfortable with his other friends being around her. No matter what they had or had not done in the past.
Book two follows Olly and Frankie after their secret summer spent together. The story takes place over time and we really get to see the two of them grow into great adults. One of the issues I had with this story was more so around the ending and Olly's future. I felt like I didn't quite understand what Frankie really wanted from him. Was it to be home? Was it to choose her? I felt like it wrapped up a bit too quickly and I fell together too easily. I wish it would have been drawn out a bit more. The story itself is less than 200 pages and I felt it was filled with quite a bit of smut. Would have liked to see them work through their issues a bit more instead of falling into bed together.
Overall, I still really enjoyed the story. This was one of the more emotional ones in the series. Would love an extended epilogue to see where all the couples end up.
