What a fantastic follow up to Seducing Lola with Tempting Sophia by Jessica Prince. This is Sophia’s story and on the surface it looks like she has everything together – I mean, she is part of a successful radio show, she has a lovely home , she makes great money and has wonderful friends ( Lola and Daphne). But if she thinks back, she remembers when life wasn’t so good—10 years before, she was madly in love with Dominic Abbatelli, Lola’s older brother and she thought they would be together forever until he did something that broke her. She has spent years trying to purge him out of her mind and forget about the man she loved/still loves and it seemed like she has until… the moment he came back into her life to shake things up. And what a shakeup it was. Sophia and Dominic have a past and no matter how Sophia wanted to keep him in her past, Dominic refused to let her. Dominic has decided that enough is enough and wants a chance to show Sophia that he regrets his mistake and wants to be a part of her life again and wants a chance to repent, to make up to her for what he did and to win his girl back. It’s too bad that Sophia doesn’t see things his way…or possibly maybe she does and doesn’t want to admit it to herself. Either way, get ready for the fireworks to erupt.
Dominic is a man who made plenty of mistakes in his past and he is ready to own up to them now, to the woman he has never forgotten nor stopped loving. He is so sweet, so dominant, so alpha that he made my heart go “aww” every time he was on the page. I could feel his emotions when he spoke or thought. And OMG Sophia… I felt so bad for her. She has never stopped loving Dominic and the pain of the past has weighed on her for years. Will Dominic be able to break down the walls she has built up against him? She doesn’t know if she can trust the man she has never stopped loving. Sophia is a loving, kind, sassy, sweet woman who has known some pretty bad heartbreak in her past. Will she open her heart up once again and give Dominic another chance ? This is a beautifully written, 2nd chance romance that has it all—one handsome alpha male, one sassy kick butt female, and then we have some awesome secondary characters along with a dog that passes tons of gas. I truly enjoyed every written moment in this book and cannot wait for Daphne’s story. This has been such an emotional and humorous roller coaster ride of a story but what a way to go!
