    She can afford and start a business to take care of her children . She pretends to be the realtor and after a very intense sexy incounter with the Viking king (Toby ) . She tells him it's been already sold . Never expecting to see him again little did she realize he lived in the small village . This story is absolutely hilarious and very delightful . Melinda has her hands full with her children , her best friends Mikey and Joanie and the villagers . I laughed so hard at this story and enjoyed this story so much . I highly recommend reading .

    This book was so funny, I giggled the whole way through. The story was so clever and creative. I loved how strong Melinda was as a divorced, single mom. She and Toby were amazing together and he was so good for her. I like reading about all the secondary characters this author puts in her books. I also enjoyed seeing Joanie and Mikey from the previous book. What I love the most is the witty banter and funny moments that make me laugh out loud. This author really writes the best romantic comedies. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

    Just finished reading! Once again the humor was on point, and as a mom I can relate to the chaos that is that life. There were a couple things that I felt were left as loose nuggets though - In the regard:

    There's a scene with her ex where she finally goes off on him and her son says (and I’m paraphrasing because I’m not sure I know the exact wording) “and you wonder why he left you” - and I HATE that line. I hate that it seems her eldest son is probably hurting and dealing with his own issues from the divorce on top of just being a surly tween, and that there’s no come to Jesus moment with him. He’s got an attitude throughout the book, little snippets - but where there could have been more development in that relationship - and like a hey - you don’t get to talk to me like that even when you’re hurting - there is never that moment. It feels unfinished and it was important to me because her being a mom is a main theme.

    Overall I enjoyed it, and I did find myself laughing, but it was missing something for me overall; and I wished that some of the big important factors that Toby needed clued in on would have come from Melinda herself, rather than Mikey. I wish Mikey hadn’t been the one to clarify why she needed the farm, or the reason behind the dares. Not because of bad writing, and not even because the story truly suffered, but because it felt like missed opportunities to have really good moments with Toby. The reader tends to miss out on what possible emotion Toby could have felt when he realized the situation she was in with her ex and the house.

    I’m probably making a big deal out of it - maybe because I also write? But I just wanted more from these characters throughout.

    This is the second book in the series, it can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the 1st if you haven’t already to get a well rounded feel for Miranda and her relationship with her best friends Mikey and Joanie. It’s not as funny as the 1st book but that is understandable as Melinda and Toby are more world weary than their 1st book counterparts but I feel have a deeper, more soulful story. This book is well worth taking the time to read, I wholeheartedly enjoyed it and it’s a bonus to read a book that whilst has sex in it, is not at all graphic or on every second page!
