Text Me Baby One More Time (Texting Series) Kindle Edition
Forever, he said.
Turns out, he lied.
When he leaves me high and dry after a cross-country move, I push him out of my life as much as I can, which is hard to do when the guy who broke your heart also happens to be the most famous dude in town.
After a disastrous year, he's aiming to rehab his reputation, and I just so happen to be aiming for a promotion at the paper.
So, we strike a deal, and it's a win-win all around.
Besides, what's the harm in a few dates to charity galas anyway?
He's arrogant, a total jerk. There's no way I'll fall for him...again.
I used to love him. Now I hate him...I think.
Text Me Baby One More Time is a full-length standalone romantic comedy that features a second chance, a jerk hero you'll love to hate, a strong heroine, a pug, nerdy nicknames, and a happy ending.

About the author

TEAGAN HUNTER writes steamy romantic comedies with lots of sarcasm and a side of heart. She loves pizza, hockey, and romance novels, though not in that order. When not writing, you can find her watching entirely too many hours of Supernatural, One Tree Hill, or New Girl. She’s mildly obsessed with Halloween and prefers cooler weather. She married her high school sweetheart, and they currently live in the PNW.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 4, 2021Shh, don’t tell anyone but I kinda like new old Shep, Zach’s little brother. I mean he’s still not Zach, but no one in this series is. ;0) He’s not the shtinker he was in the first book.
Is it a bit weird that the lead characters are so connected... yes and no, I’ve seen even weirder in real life so.
Denny (Denver) was introduced as Monty’s twin sister in the last book and became fast friends with Zoe. Just like Zoe, I certainly liked her a lot better in her own story that previous ones. I also like that she’s a writer, though we hear about that rather than have the experience of it.
Can we just take a second to completely and utterly appreciate the Captain America aspect of this whole thing? Not the implied whatevers, but the friendship parts and nicknames.... including the cool old vet. And that the pug puppy is called STEVE!!!
Okay, now with that said, Shep at the beginning... oy I wanted to get through it and had hopes it would improve but his thoughts really made me want to kick his backside. However he seriously improves with each chapter, other than when he is getting in the way of his own happiness. And he finally works to apologize for some seriously terrible mistakes he made in the past. When he lets shine his true self, his romantic caring side.... that’s golden. I hope he works on and out all his family and friend relationships.
This story is told in first person in dual perspectives; which are divided by chapter between Denver and Shepard. There are also chapters that delve back into six and five years ago; back to when their friendship started and problems happened. Each time looking back is defined at the beginning of the chapter. It doesn’t really establish a narrator for those chapters; because this is mostly in texts.
I was wary at the start of this one but I highly enjoyed it. I’m glad both characters once again turned out to be more than they seemed and are working, especially Shep, to redeem themselves and be better. I hope they make their forever.
I highly recommend this fourth book and the previous ones (in order). The box set has a bonus short story and I’m onto read it next.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 19, 2019I recently had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook, Text Me Baby One More Time by Teagan Hunter, the fourth book in the Texting series, but can be read/listened to as a standalone. This was the first book I read/listened too in the series and I was able to enjoy it as such, but I am excited to go back and read the rest of the series now.
When the story starts, we meet Shep and Denver after they have met and endured so much together and separately. Shep is at a crossroads in his life. He realizes, rather late, what his mistakes have been and wants to be a better man. Denver is done with Shep. He left her shattered and destroyed and will never let him in again, right? Shep was not always a good guy, but throughout this story we see him grow and begin to see what his actions have caused. Denver was caring, smart and beautiful.
As we see Shep and Denver maneuver through the present, we learn about their past, how they met (I loved it) and how they went from friends to more and then to nothing. I loved seeing how Shep took pieces of their history and interweaved it into his life before having Denver back in it. Alex Kydd and Emma Wilder did an amazing job brining Shep and Denver’s story to life. This second chance romance was emotional and sweet.
Listened and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy listening!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 2, 2025Shep & Den OMG is all I can say!!!! I really want sure I was going to like this book but since I absolutely loved the other 3 I most definitely had to read this also & let’s say I LOVED it. I’m kinda sorry this series is over
- Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2020Teagan Hunter is one of those rare unicorn authors that are able to blend humor and and emotion so beautifully, so eloquently, leaving you in tears from laughing so hard one moment to being heartbroken the next. The level of talent that she possess is phenomenal, and when I discovered these books last year, I was an immediate fan!
All of Teagan's texting series have their own power to them, but this last book is her most heartbreaking, angsty, emotional installment! We have Shep, who if you have read the previous books, hasn't always been a good person. But before he became an arragont jerk who has no regard to anyones feelings, there was his Denver.
Denver and Shep started a texting relationship their senior year of high school, and we saw them go from sort of enemies, to best friends, to head over heels in love. When Denver decides to go to the college that Shep was accepted to so they can finally be together, she thinks all of her dreams are about to come true.. until he breaks her heart.
Now in the present timeline, Shep is turning over a new leaf and writing the many wrongs he has done. I love when we see a character redeem himself, and even though I really didn't like him during the first two books, I really fell for Shep early on in this book. It takes such an incredibly talented author to make you love someone you never thought was possible to love, and Teagan did this flawlessly!
I also adored Denver! I loved how strong yet vulnerable she was, especially when it came to Shep. She wanted to trust him, to believe that the boy she once fell in love with is still there, and watching them reunite, as well as finding the best versions of each other was absolutely everything!
I just absolutely adore this authors writing style -- how she uses her pop culture references in just the right way, the emotion she's able to pull out her readers, it's all fabulous!
If you're looking for a hilarious series with all the feelings, these books are for you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved loved loved this book.
Even tough this is the final book in this series and I want so much more, it was my favourite book of them all. I love second chance romance and Cap and Bucky are my fav. This book had my emotions all over the place from laughing to even shedding a tear or two. I also love the friendship between Denver and her friends and how much they support each other. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves rom-coms. This whole series is one of the best I have read yet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow!
I did not really know what to expect from this book. After reading the previous three books in the series I can happily say that this one was definitely my favourite. Shep and Denny’s relationship had me hooked from the beginning. I love the sassy and sarcastic banter between the two and how they feel so much emotion. Due to Shep’s past I was a little sceptical about how this book was going to turn out, but I was not disappointed. The emotion between the two was amazing, and I just loved everything about the two.
This book is definitely one that I would recommend, and is totally worth more than five stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great series
So I snooped a bit in the reviews and found out who it was about (I'm gonna keep it a mystery) and I wasn't sure if I wanted to read it. But the reviews were all loving and all, and I love enemies to lovers. This one didn't only needed probe himself to the h but also to all the readers! Because I'm quite sure not many lovers of him were here.. He sure did a great job of redeming himself and making us see the good in him.
But Robbie is and will stay my favorite! And Monty as well!
These two had a nice and exciting start themselves but I don't get why he chickened..
Also I love myself a Pug too! I should ask my bf..
