"Fast-paced, suspenseful, and spine-chilling. I loved every thrilling moment of it." —Readers' Favorite Five Star Review

THE END HAS COME AND THERE'S NOWHERE TO HIDE

A massive Yellowstone super-eruption has decimated the United States. Millions are dead. Millions more are missing—pulled into the sky by a mysterious white light. When Sera Donner's mother is taken by the light, she and her disabled twin brother must seek refuge in the unity of their small mountain community. But 'survival of the fittest' quickly becomes the new social justice, compelling neighbor to turn against neighbor in a frantic grab for precious resources, forcing Sera to use lethal means to protect the people she loves.

Sera's only comfort in the chaos is Micah Abrams, her brother's bitter enemy. Once a violent thug, Micah now leans on faith and speaks of a glorious King that will soon come to rescue the world. Sera is desperate for hope. But can she really trust this schoolyard bully suddenly turned prophet?

As the battle for control over the community reaches a fevered pitch, a powerful military leader marches into town with an imposing force, offering food, water, and promises of salvation. Everyone thinks the worst is finally over.

They're wrong.

"Compelling, devastatingly dystopian, action-packed, original. An epic franchise in the making." --Jim Thompson, Original Content

"A great story that happens to be set at the end of the world." --Les Sillars, author of Intended For Evil

From the Author

The Goliath Code is the first book in a Post Apocalyptic Christian Series.

I've always wanted to write a book about the end of the world. The idea for this story came to me about five years ago after a lifetime of fascination with end times theories and prophecies. It took three years of research and then another two years of writing to finish the book, and I loved every minute of it. I've been a writer for over twenty-five years, won my share of awards, but this is the most important book I've ever written. The Goliath Code is not your standard survival story. It takes an unflinching look at human nature in the midst of horrifying world-wide events that many people feel may happen in their lifetime. Readers claim the book puts you on the edge of your seat and then suddenly rips your heart out. No apologies for that; the apocalypse isn't for the faint of heart.I'd love to hear what you think of The Goliath Code. Send me an email at

I am enjoying this series immensely and I am only disappointment by how quickly I am moving through each volume. Leonhard does an excellent job of completing the old writing formula of Character + Conflict = Plot by developing well rounded characters with believable motives that engender concern for their well being on the part of the reader. Most importantly she manages the difficult task of incorporating her Evangelical /Bible Christian Theology (which is solid) into her story in a manner that is respectful to the source material while also furthering the plot and successfully communicating her message. That she is able to accomplish this without interrupting the flow of her story, and thereby pulling the reader out of the story, is as remarkable as it is entertaining to read. I definitely recommend this series.

I was excited to read this first book after seeing it on Facebook. I was also worried it wouldn't live up to all the hype. Before I ordered I prayed God would help me to decide. And he did, I purchased this along with the 2nd and 3rd books. The first book was so good and exciting, I didn't want to put it down. I'm blessed to have a personal relationship with Jesus. If this is what comes after the rapture, I don't want to be here to see it. However, I love this book. It kept me on edge until the last page.

This is a well written story that I would recommend to young adults especially in the 20to40 age group. It is well written and certainly somewhat biblically-based. It does have quite a good story as well. I gave it a four star rating rather than five star due to the language though are though I do wrecking eyes that in these times that are taking place and will soon take place there will be some rough language spoken. How be it many of us Christians would preferred to book such as this not have language such as this. I would recommend it to friends though as the story is good and the message is good as well.

A frightening downward spiral in a world turned upside down. After what seems to be a natural disaster, the truth slowly appears through the most horrific of times.
The characters are carefully drawn as believable people living and dying in the most tragic scenarios. The landscape is nothing most could ever imagine; the description of the sun, moon, atmosphere, hunger, casual killing, destruction, sights and smells are devised in such a way as to provoke the reader's emotions & senses. A true page turner!
The plot twists and turns away from sanctuary to insanity as families & friends are horribly affected by enemies on all sides. Battles are won and lost, people disappear & reappear, and the young people suffer & are captured, for what seems to be the last time. But, this is only the first book in a trilogy. The excitement builds with the father about to administer a life changing & life threatening drug to his daughter, who's blood carries the Goliath Code and she will be forever altered. Or will she?
This book appeals to all levels of people & ages of civilized society, prompting the reader to want change before the end. What a cliffhanger!
I highly recommend this the first of three books!

I'm not usually into zombies and post-apocalypse stuff (OK, there aren't really zombies here) but I didn't want to put this book down. Action packed and thrilling, Ms. Leonhard takes us on a fantastical ride leaving me wanting more. How long do I have to wait for the next installment?
Ms. Leonhard understands the mind of an atheist as portrayed by the protagonist. She avoids straw man arguments from both the Christian and atheist viewpoints and instead gives one of the most honest depictions I've seen in fiction of the interactions and thoughts of the opposing mindsets.
While the prophecies of the Bible give an outline of the events at the end of the world, many details are left vague or open to speculation. This book provides some viable possibilities that are new to my thinking. That's what makes this so intriguing. Whether you believe this stuff or not, The Goliath Code is a great read.

I know the fulfillment of God's plan is near . Jesus Christ is not his name. It's Jesus who is God the Fathers messiah to the world. That is what Christ means. I don't look forward to the end of t he world - I look forward to our God returning and showing himself completely. But just before that - a time of trouble like no other. His return is dear to me and reading anything about it is exciting . The author wrote a POSSABLE story ,wrote it well and touches and refreshes a subject every true believer is thrilled about. Thank you for that dear author - well done and thank you for lending your passion and skill to a good story.

This book it pretty good. It's definitely catchy and kept me turning the pages to see what came next. The story line is solid and the descriptive content is very well done.

There are downsides. The story is a bit preachy; not overwhelmingly so but enough to feel like a religious story line mixed with an adventure. This is not necessarily bad but certainly brings a vibe to the story. There is no real attempt to tie-up plot lines at the end of a declared first-in-a-series which left me feeling baited. Possibly I'd rather wait and read a larger but complete novel.

Overall, the book is solid for young, religious readers while lacking the finesse of main stream works. I enjoyed it and others will too but I stop short of recommending it. For me, it's in the category of "good book for a long airplane ride" when you really don't have anything better to do.
