The Azolla Story: A message from the future Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 12 ratings

A miracle plant worshipped in the East. A Superorganism with unique abilities. The Third Event since life originated on our planet. This is the story of a wonder plant called azolla that can help us at this crucial moment in our human journey. Mankind is now facing a Perfect Storm as our population grows by a million people every three days. This mass of people is stretching our planet’s natural resources to their limits, leading to acute shortages of land, fresh water, food and energy, as well as the threat of man-made climate change. The Azolla Story shows us how we can weather the Storm and re-establish our relationship with nature and other species that share this world. “This book is exceptionally well written, and sometimes we feel transported to completely different times.” Halfdan Carstens, GEO365 Magazine. Written by Dr Jonathan Bujak, a geologist with more than 40 years’ experience in the Arctic, and his environmental scientist daughter, Alexandra, The Azolla Story takes the reader on an amazing journey through space and time, ending with a message written a hundred years from now in a world of incredible opportunities. During a time of increasing despair and the predictions of dystopian futures, The Azolla Story is refreshingly optimistic and uplifting. It shows us how we can have an exciting future of adventure and discovery, thanks to azolla – an ally on our remarkable human journey. Join us on that journey as you read The Azolla Story.

With live internal and external links, over 200 full-colour illustrations, a bibliography of 681 references and a glossary of over 100 scientific terms relevant to current climate change, The Azolla Story is destined to become a classic for our generation and those to come.

I am finding the book just fascinating! I am learning a lot and beginning to look at the world with more clarity and understanding. I am hoping other professionals read the book to get an idea of how fragile our environment is and what we can do to mitigate the damage we are doing to this old soul.
