4.5 Stars!! Fave in the series so far!!
4.5 Stars Wynona "Nona" Fanning has a big crush on Trick, who happens to not only be her good friend but also the best man she knows. And although her feelings for him run deep, she would never make a move on a man so recently divorced who hasn't yet moved on. But, her plans to stay away become impossible the second she finds herself in his strong and determined arms...  Patrick “Trick” Wanderly made the worst decision ever when it comes to Nona. A beautiful and genuine woman like her didn't deserve the way that she was treated, and now that he realizes just what kind of damage he did to their friendship, Trick is desperate to repair it... along with trying to date the woman he didn't know he needed so much... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Best of Me was another beautifully emotional and heartwarming read from the fabulous Hope Valley series. Nona and Trick have been burned by relationships before, but when these two single parents decide to take a second chance at love, they may find that their greatest chapters in life are yet to come... Nona was such a strong and capable woman who has a refreshingly big heart that always shined through with the love for her kids and everyone that she cares for. She is also a dedicated and successful business owner and the rock that holds her family together. When she finds herself hurt in the wake of her mishap with Trick, Nona resorts to baking her stress away and avoided the man in question at all costs.  Trick feels terrible about his role in hurting Nona. As a natural protector and an inherently good man, he vows to repair the friendship that he unwittingly damaged by his bad decision to finally act on his desire for a woman who already means so much to him. But, when he realizes that Nona will never again be just another friend, Trick will have his work cut out for him trying to convince her to give him a chance at a real relationship. I loved Nona and Trick so much, and in an already amazing series, The Best of Me was definitely my favorite book yet! This story had such a well done mixed family dynamic, with both Nona and Trick representing themselves as amazing parents and all around incredible people. With the entire town of Hope Valley cheering them on, this story provided many happy and sweet moments with just enough suspense thrown in to keep you turning the pages as quickly as possible.  I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.

Loved this story. It’s my second reading and Hope Valley gets better and better. Love the characters, their alpha men and strong women. Always a good mystery with their own HEA to fit the couple.

This was another great story for this series. I loved the idea of two people who had been thrown away by their spouses finding a second chance at love with each other. I liked that Trick and Nona had been secondary characters in the first two books so I already knew some of their backstory. This picked up right where Come Back Home Again left off at Tempie and Hayes’ wedding.

Nona and Trick shared a steamy night together but Trick pushed Nona away, thinking he wasn’t ready for a new relationship yet. He quickly realized his mistake and started to pursue Nona. I loved the way he supported Nona, even when he was pushing her away. Nona and Trick had a lot in common and their blended family was so entertaining. I loved that the kids were a part of this story and I loved the relationship they all had with each other.

There were a lot of sticky situations that Nona and Trick had to navigate with their ex’s. I liked the way they were honest with each other about every interaction and communicated where they were emotionally with each other. They both understood what this second chance meant and never went back.

There wasn’t as much suspense in this book. I felt some tension in the way Trick kept talking about his gut feeling, but the suspense took more of a backseat to the joining of Trick and Nona’s families.

‘The best of me’ is the third book in the ‘Hope Valley’ series. Just like the previous books in this series, I enjoyed this story very much. This series is becoming one of my favourite ones and I’m sure that I will reread them in the future.

This story is about Trick and Nona, both are divorced and both have two children. Another thing that they have in common is that they gave their previous partner their all but it didn’t save their marriage or made their ex-partners love them more. But where Nona has moved on and is ready to open her heart to a new love, Trick isn’t ready for that or so he thinks… Because the moment that he realises that he is ready for a new love, especially for Nona’s love, he has lost his chance with her. So now, he will have to fight to convince Nona that he wants her and her love.

We met Trick and Nona in the previous books so they weren’t ‘new’ characters to me but it was lovely to get to know them better. Because both characters were just great and I adored their children Blythe, Tristan, Hannah and Shaw. It was wonderful to see how the children interacted with each other and their parents. Personally, I found this story the sweetest of the series so far, because it wasn’t just about the love between Trick and Nona but also about their love for their children.

The story is told from both POV’s. One of the things that I really loved about Trick was his thoughtfulness to Nona, his gentlemanly ways and his very protective side towards his family. Nona was a strong woman when she needed to be, who worked very hard for her family but she also had a very warm and gentle heart. I loved that. ‘The best of me’ is a sweet, fun, emotional story. You don’t have to read the other two books to read this one.

I can’t wait to read the next story!!

(Just like in the previous books, there were again a few edit mistakes in it but only a few. I didn’t mind them.)

This is my new favourite from the Hope Valley series. I’ve read everything Jessica has released and it’s always exciting when she has a new book.

These couples have me invested in their lives, hell the whole town has me. The continuity of the stories have been spot on and once you start you don’t want it to end.

Nonna has always admired Trick. Seeing him around town he’s certainly not hard on the eyes. Watching this man and seeing him interact with his family fills her with a longing, one where she has a man who looks at her the way he does with his family.

When Tricks marriage broke apart she felt his pain. She’s been there.

Trick struggled with the breakdown of his marriage. But he’s trying to move on. He’s got two fantastic kids he loves to death. Trying to move on though is not easy. The love he had for his ex is long gone.

Nonna and Trick move in the same circles, have the same friends. It’s at one of their friends wedding that these two end up spending the night together. But when Trick tries to sneak out in the early hours of the morning he does more harm than he thought. Nonna is pissed and hurt. And she’s not going to make it easy for him.

Trick realises the huge mistake he made and trying to get back with Nonna is going to be a battle. But he’s persistent and he knows she’s the one for him.

Just when you think life’s good for these two and their kids shit hits the fan in the form of Nonna’s no good ex-husband.

Jessica brings you into Hope Valley and all its inhabitants. You are really invested. So if you like you men loyal, sexy and know how to treat a woman then dive into Hope Valley you won’t regret it.

Nona Fanning’s marriage ending terribly. She longed for a marriage as picture perfect as Patrick “Trick” Wanderly’s. After Trick’s marriage imploded and he found that his marriage wasn’t as perfect as he thought, he didn't think he could start over.
After one HOT night with Nona, Trick felt he was moving too fast and told Nona so. As she “frosted” him out of her life, Trick realized what a huge mistake he made. Nona was not only an awesome mother to her 2 children, but she was “everything” Trick wanted in a partner. As he fought to get back with her, Nona’s ex-husband’s showed that he was truly a horrible man.
As danger came to Nona and her family, Trick fought to keep them safe.
I loved how Nona and Trick found their HEA with each other. I loved how well Jessica Prince wrote their love story. I loved how they finally found each other and how they completed each other. I loved how Trick treated Nona as she was the love of his life. I can’t wait to hear how their lives will continue in the upcoming books.

I'm hooked on Jessica Prince. I discovered this author by accident in my "recommended" reads and I'm so glad I did. I really enjoyed this story out of the Hope Valley Series. Naturally I started them out of order but they are so good I'm now going to have to reac them all. Absolutley loved Trick and Nona, they definitely deserve the love they now have and Trick - hubba hubba what a great man for Nona. Definately recommend this series.

Liked the characters and the story. Could have done without the Gazillion pet names. And I’ll never understand why some parents insist all calling their kids “their babies” you know. AFTER they’re babies, but I liked the story. Trick was awesome.

This book was a joy to read, I love how the relationships in this series have ups and downs like all real stories do. There is just something so beautiful about reading the journey of two families bleeding into and I had a constant smile reading this. Nona and Trick were perfect for each other and I loved the values they stood by. This was the best book in the series so far.
