The Donor: A Billionaire Romance Kindle Edition
It all started with a bet between my best friend and me. He won, I lost, and it was time to pay up. He promised me nothing would ever come of it. But something did.
I was a wealthy and successful businessman who was anti-relationship in every way. My grandfather didn’t like how I lived my life and gave me an ultimatum. He gave me one year to meet someone and fall in love, or else the company that was rightfully mine would go to someone else.
Harper Holland was beautiful and sexy. She was the perfect woman to ensure my grandfather signed his company over to me. After all, she was pregnant with my child. Only she didn’t know I was the father. Once I got my company, I would end our “so-called” relationship. The problem was that I fell deeply in love with her. How was I supposed to tell her what I’d done? I didn’t have to. She found out the truth on her own, and my entire life was destroyed in an instant.
Harper
The only thing I ever wanted in life was a family of my own. I daydreamed about marrying the perfect man and starting a family more than I lived in reality. At the age of thirty and after many failed relationships, I discovered that maybe marriage and the perfect husband weren’t in the cards for me. My biological clock was ticking, so I decided to start a family on my own as a single woman living in New York City.
The only thing that mattered in my life was raising a child. After finding the perfect sperm donor from the New York Cryobank, I put my plan into motion. Then, by some act of fate, I met a brutally handsome man. A man who didn’t care that I was already pregnant. A man who made me swoon and swept me off my feet. I trusted him and fell in love until I discovered the truth about him and his motives.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 1, 2020I haven't read Sandi's books in a while, guilty I admit to letting reviews sway me. Well, shame on me because I've missed her great contribution to readers. First, her love for New York, I love since I am a NYer.
Grayson and Harper... The balance of these character was sublime. They were strong, independent, intelligent, sexy, sweet, hard working and yes, arrogance, and some ugly betrayal came to existence but remorse was in full force, forgiveness was not delivered by the next page. In other words, we felt it all here. The compassion, the broken and the love. Bravo Sandi, I've been in a reading stump for some time now and this was refreshing!
100% recommendation from me. I wasn't given an ARC and was not asked to give a review, it was by choice. Sexy, yes, good hero and heroine MCs, absolutely. Secondary characters, I loved Leon, grandfather Rhodes, Sammy and Damon as well. Her friends, meh, they were just okay but that was enough for this story. Threesomes, none, cursing, few, typos, I can't think of any off hand, sex scenes, yes, rushed but not cringe worthy. The read is perfectly balanced, light in some ways. Loved the HEA, that makes or breaks a review for me. I don't leave reviews often but I do read A LOT!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 18, 2023It’s a cute story. The idea of it is phenomenal and I feel like something’s were a little rushed. It fell flat in those areas but overall it’s a good book perfect for me to read between the darker books I like. Harpers fiancé dumps her 3 months from her wedding. She decides to have a child and visits a sperm bank. Enter Grayson who make a bet with his childhood friend who runs the bank and chaos ensues.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 16, 2020The story is ok but could be so much better. The characters are not fully developed, they come across as flat instead of fully fleshed out beings. There are the same odd phrases in this book that plague her other books such as "He narrowed his eye". Who the heck narrows just one eye? There are the same bad editing mistakes as in previous books. Although not as obvious as some of her other books at times, I still found myself mentally changing sentences just so that they would read properly and not distract me from the story. That is so sad to have to do that to a book. One shouldn't need to. I'm not even an English major and I found those mistakes. Horrible. Then there is the choppy way the story is written and pushed along. In one sentence, the character is stepping into a warm, relaxing bath. The very next sentence, the character is walking down the street without any other words to take you from one to the other. Just *poof*! Bath over, she's dressed and on the move now and all those thoughts that were going through her head right as she got in the tub have stopped. Very choppy. Abrupt and jarring to say the least and I did not enjoy those moments. I think think book needs a serious rewrite.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2020Grayson didn't believe in love, he felt relationships were a waste of time and energy. When his best friend found himself in love and ready for a life long commitment, Grayson bet him his marriage would end by the two year mark. When his friend agreed to the bet he wanted Grayson to be a donor at the cryobank., with the stipulation that he would hide his donation for 30 days.
Harper was a beautiful young lady, who felt like her biological clock was ticking and she was ready for a family.
After being dumped by her fiancee, she decided to do it on her own and found herself looking threw the profiles of donors. One caught her eye #137665
- Reviewed in the United States on February 8, 2023Started out thinking Grayson was a big overgrown jerk. As the story progressed I started thinking, OK, maybe he isn't such a big jerk. Loved his grandfather, glad he got his happy ending also. Good book, quick read and worth it.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 20, 2021Ok, so I do get why some people are saying it was a quick read. I did read the book in one day. But I must say it was a good book the author didn’t extend the book further then it needed to be. Which in my eyes is great. From beginning to end the story was amazing. Sometimes you don’t need all that extra wording or details that don’t matter in the story plot. If your looking for a amazing quick read with a amazing story plot from start to finish then this is your book.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 31, 2024This was such a romantic love story. It was funny it was sad have a box of tissues nearby. Happy ending. Love Sandi Lynn’s books

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved Grayson and Harper
Wow this is a beautiful story. Has all the special easy to read dreamy moments. Grayson thinks he has everything under control and then loses it in spectacular fashion, the ending ties up their story just lovely. An easy weekend read.

1.0 out of 5 stars this book is really really bad
to be honest i thought that this book was going to be good but the characters are so cringeworthy and badly written and the story wasn’t even entertaining... the male character is a huge d*ck and i can’t understand how suddenly he turned good!
very bad not worth the money!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful
Yes Grayson was wrong not telling Harper and lied to his grand father. But he fell in love with her and didn’t want to go ahead without her and the baby. It was a bad bet he made with Julius, but turned out wonderfully in the end.
