J.M. McKenzie is based in Birmingham, UK.
She was born in Lanark, Scotland in 1958 and always wanted to be a writer but was guided in a different direction by parents and teachers.
J.M. only started writing seriously after her retirement from a long career in healthcare.
She is a member of a local Writers Group who have jointly published several anthologies of their flash fiction homework in the Words Don't Come Easy series between 2017 and 2021.
She completed a Creative Writing Course with The Writers Bureau in 2018.
J.M. published her first novel, Wait for Me, in January 2021. Wait for Me is the story of an ordinary woman's extraordinary journey to get home to her husband in the midst of a Zombie Apocalypse.
She published the sequel to Wait for Me, Trident Edge later that year.
She has also co-authored a non-fiction biography called My Rachel.
